Summary: Finally, all three people who were contacted after Dax's death will meet. Plotting ensues.
Warnings: None thus far.

The letters had been sent. Now, all there was, was to wait. Enoch, and possibly one or two others, was there already, sitting at the far end of the room so they couldn't be heard through the door, sitting up straight and a hand resting on his knee as he waited for the others. His leadership potential often went unused, Enoch being the submissive type, content with the role of the follower. But he would have been next in line for his father's priesthood, a leader role of sorts - he could and would take the lead if he had to.

"Not quite." And that's all he was going to say about the topic. Even if this isn't his world, it's still sensitive information, as ridiculous as it may seem. Someone other than Lucifel and Him knowing about such a thing could turn into serious consequences. Time and Space were that strange after all.

Not that Tohko really knew what sort-if any-consequences could arise. However, there was no way she was just going to let that be the end of the matter.

"What do you mean by that? It's a yes or no question, I believe. Or is there some third option here that I'm not aware of?"

"What do you believe it is?"

He is going to play this game of confusing her and he knows he's going to enjoy it a lot.

And what would make this even more fun was the fact that Tohko was incredibly easy to tease. At the question, she sighed and scratched her head.

"I thought that they might be fictional characters in your universe. However, what I believe it to be and what it actually is might not be the same thing."

That's true. It was just fun to watch how she would start thinking about what could be right and wrong.

"What do you think could it be if it#s not the thing you believe in?"

At that, Tohko sighed. That was the sort of question Wilhelm might pose. The only difference here was that Wilhelm was always serious.

Sadly, Tohko didn't know that yet.

"I don't know right now. That's why I'm asking you, since you seem to know."

Lucifel isn't serious. At least not right now.

"But if it's like that then it could be anything, couldn't it?"

Sadly, Tohko had no clue that he was just yanking her chain.

"Well..it couldn't be anything. I don't think Angels are telepathic, so you couldn't have heard their thoughts while you were in the Tower and didn't meet them..and I'm not sure if you're able to sense souls here either, so that's right out too. But you could have a friend tell you about them here before you met them in person. Is that it?"

At least he is having some fun with that. Much fun.

"I have to tell you..." He starts, a long pause following. "That you are wrong. I haven't been told."

However, if she ever found out, she would probably get rather annoyed.
Thankfully, the probability of that happening was very, very low.

She would think that Wilhelm was similar to Lucifel though.

"Alright..that knocks out a third possibility. What's the fourth, if all of my guesses are wrong?"

Which is why he doesn't plan on telling her. That would end his fun too soon.

Lucifel can't be compared to anyone. He wouldn't like being compared to others that is.

"The answer is simple." There is a break in his speech before he continues. "Your very first thought was right, they are fictional characters." It was fun for as long as it has lasted.

Sadly, Tohko doesn't know that..so she'll continue to compare and contrast the two. However, at that reveal, she sighed.

"..While I'm happy that I was right, why did you go around in circles and tell me that I wasn't?"

"It was amusing to listen to your theories."

It entertained him a bit until things would get serious.

At that, Tohko sighed and scratched her head. Honestly..

"I see..you know, you could have told me the truth and then asked me what other methods I might have thought of. Honestly..you're just like Wilhelm."

Which was kind of scary, to be honest.

She better isn't serious about him being like someone else, if there is something he can't stand then it's being compared to others. For the sole reason that there is no one he could be compared with.

"Where would be the fun if I had done it that way?"

Sadly, Tohko was serious about that comparison, and while she didn't know that it irritated the Archangel, it might give him some comfort to know that he was being compared to a god-like entity.

..Or maybe that description would just send him even further into a rage.

"..So you think it's fun to toy with people like that?"

That fact doesn't make him happier, it's actually quite the opposite of that. Yes, if she continues like that then the usually so calm Archangel would lose his cool.

And no one wants to be around once that happens.

"... Excuse me?"

Not that Tohko really knew that, sadly. However, she sighed at the question and repeated herself.

"So you think it's fun to play with people like that?"

"He wasn't asking for you to repeat that."

Sorry, but Enoch wouldn't sit by while his guardian lost his cool.

"Teasing people is his sense of humor. He means nothing malicious by it, and it certainly isn't the same as Wilhelm's pretentious ways."

Tohko, consider yourself lucky for Enoch entering this conversation, or this might have ended badly. It does give him some room to cool down.

Foolish humans... "At least someone is aware of that."

Tohko..hadn't really expected Enoch to jump in..but it did make sense for him to do so. Even if she had to force herself to not jump and to keep her cool.

This was not good..how to speak without losing her best friend? Sighing, she tried to collect her thought.

"..Wilhelm's not really pretentious..but it does get a little annoying when someone turns you around in a conversation, making you think that you might be wrong..only to find that you weren't."

"Wilhelm isn't pretentious? He continually speaks in sweeping and grandiose terms about the tower and its situation, baits people to action while claiming he is not baiting them, and quite clearly holds himself above the rest of us. If that is not pretentiousness, I don't know what is. Wilhelm mocks. Lucifel only teases."

That comparison didn't sit well with Enoch, either, for...well, for reasons he'd just given. He very clearly does not like Wilhelm, and won't take kindly to someone comparing him to one of the people most dear to him.

"Well. Doesn't that sound like a charming person." Which that Wilhelm probably wasn't at all. Hopefully both of them know that he is being sarcastic. Or that at least Enoch knows.

Once again, Tohko sighed. She knew that Wilhelm wasn't exactly the most trustworthy person in the Tower..but it wasn't like he was a completely horrible person either. She..wasn't sure if she was mad or neutral about the insults, as she knew that he could get annoying.

"..I know his grandeous speech and his comparing the Tower to chess pieces can be annoying..but it fits with him. He sees the world like a chessboard, even now, even though it can be irritating. However..while he does push people..he does leave it up to them whether they go for his bait..even though it is hard to resist.

And he doesn't hold himself above the rest of us! I'm not sure how you got that impression, and I know he can be annoying sometimes..but he doesn't view himself as being better than humans, trust me. He's not a horrible person."

"And seeing the world as a game board wouldn't imply he sees himself as the one observing or directly moving the pieces?" He sighs, his shoulders relaxing, but his face remaining stern. This was a serious matter for him. He was closely protective of those he held most dear.

"...I never said he was horrible, Tohko. But he isn't the sort I'll stand to see my dearest friend being called."

For Enoch it isn't a matter of what they do, but why - and Wilhelm's toying seemed to him to be a test, an examination of the other person's thought process. Lucifel...well, how else could he see Lucifel's teasing but for the sole purpose of entertainment? In his mind, though the pattern was similar, they were nothing alike.
