Summary: Finally, all three people who were contacted after Dax's death will meet. Plotting ensues.

The letters had been sent. Now, all there was, was to wait. Enoch, and possibly one or two others, was there already, sitting at the far end of the room so they couldn't be heard through the door, sitting up straight and a hand resting on his knee as he waited for the others. His leadership potential often went unused, Enoch being the submissive type, content with the role of the follower. But he would have been next in line for his father's priesthood, a leader role of sorts - he could and would take the lead if he had to.

"So, what have you planned?"

"So far, all I know is that we are going to enter by manipulating the elevators. One of the people I've asked to join us here is skilled with technology. The rest...well, this is a meeting meant to plan."

"That sounds like the start of a plan." He is curious how the final plan would look like once it was completed.

[warriorscribe]

"It's a small start. I think most of it will be planned out here."

"Very well. Include me in this plan as you see fit."

"I'd like you to come along with me."

This was part of the plan, as with Naoya, he already knew.

"Understood." So he would be the support, like he had been most of the time in the past.

Enoch's smile falters a little, just a little. He knows this reaction is normal for Lucifel, but...Enoch's invitation had been far, far less impersonal than that, and it hurt a bit.

But having lived with such a thing for so long, it doesn't show long before he's smiling up at Lucifel again.

After more than three hundred years of traveling together it doesn't take much for him to notice the changes of the scribe's expressions. Lucifel places a hand on Enoch's shoulder.

"That's what friends are for, right? For support when it's needed most."

Enoch's face seems to brighten at that, and he rests his hand over the one on his shoulder.

"And you've certainly been there when I needed you most."

"I have told you so in the past, haven't I?" It should go without saying, actually without repeating it in this case.

And there he goes. Honestly, that man was like a puppy at times like these, switching from looking like a happy, a kicked or a protective one.

"Honestly Enoch..."

"What? I wrote it in my journal...it's more than just information, to be told once and remembered..."

He thinks this particular understanding is...pretty endearing, actually.

Lucifel chuckles and pats the shoulder of the scribe.

"You act like a puppy." It might be more than off topic, but why not mention it?

Enoch blinks at him, wordless and unmoving. That had seemed to come out of nowhere.

"I do?"

But that's nothing unusual, Lucifel suddenly saying or doing things that came out of nowhere, is it?

"You do. It's amazing though, that a grown up man like you oozes an aura of cuteness that is similar to that of a puppy."

Yes, but hardly comparisons like that...

Enoch is silent for a long moment, trying to parse this. Surely, Lucifel hadn't just called him "cute" - he could hardly remember Lucifel using the word unironically...

But if it was meant as an insult, he wasn't seeing it.

"I'm...not certain what you mean..."

True. However, the Archangel is more than amused by the fact that this conversation has taken a rather interesting direction. Even if it is a bit of a ridiculous direction.

It wasn't an insult, though, more of a fact he is stating. The actual question is if he is serious.

"Oh? Well, of course you wouldn't know, it's not like you could see or notice the things that are natural to you."

Which is never discernible. Enoch sighs and smiles a little up at him.

"And here I thought you were out of ways to play with me." That smile turns into a weak little chuckle. He's still lost, but...this has to be the solution. Good job, Lucifel. Well played.

Lucifel beings to chuckle then. That had been more than amusing.

Enoch shakes his head a little and gives Lucifel a playful clap, more a pat, on the arm, since he refuses to get up in this heat to get to his shoulder.
