Summary: Nessiah makes his entrance to the tower, discovers no-powers floors, and goes to get some food and research.
Warnings: Eye squick before he puts on his faceplate.

[Room 1-04]
[Nessiah had been displeased upon waking up here, but not frightened. There were few things that could frighten him after so many years of death and rebirth: a simple kidnapping would not accomplish it.

He read the letter and put it away, skepticism clear on what remained of his face. There were of course ways to destroy a world, but not many to do it instantaneously, without warning. He would have known that something was coming.

That done, he rooted in his trunk for his clothes and the chains that properly covered him. At the very least, he should put on his faceplate before anyone but his roommates saw the empty holes where his eyes should be.]

[Floor 98]
[The dormitories offered little interest to him, and the staircase seemed the obvious way to proceed. He avoided the glowing step of floor 101, briefly explored the crystalline caverns, then returned to find the next floor down.

The moment his foot left the staircase his vision went black as the spells he used to see were cut out suddenly. He stumbled, tumbling onto his knees as he landed on the pipe floor.

Nessiah tried to feel his way back to the staircase with his hands, but the pipes were unfamiliar territory and it would be too easy to fall into a hole...]

[Elevator]
[Having bee rescued, Nessiah wisely decided not to take the walk down past many other floors that could easily blind him, and took the elevator instead. He wasn't one to strike up a conversation himself, but he wouldn't be opposed to something to fill the half an hour it took to get from the top of the tower to the bottom.]

[Cafeteria]
[Nessiah was presented with terribly mediocre oatmeal, but at least it looked better than whatever else was being served. He took an out-of-the-way corner of the cafeteria and began to slowly eat, watching whoever else was desperate enough to come to the cafeteria for nutrition.]

[Floor 3]
[Despite having most of his face covered, Nessiah has no trouble reading, and has a large stack of books in front of him on one of the tables. It's quite curious.]

Nessiah chuckles lightly at that. "You're young enough for adventures, are you?"

[shortstature]

"I'm 19 and I've always been up for jumping into the unknown. Mikoto-san gave me the courage to do that."

Yata grins at Nessiah, pride evident in the way he's carrying himself.

[grancenturio]

"If you can afford to do so in a place such as this, I suppose I might like to see the results."

A random floor it is.

[shortstature]

"You talk kind of different. Are you from the past?"

Yata's curiosity gets the better of him as he waits for the elevator door to open.

[grancenturio]

"Isn't everyone? Most people start from a past point and continue forward."

Duh.

[shortstature]

"No...I mean like, the past</> past...like from...a different period in history or something."

[grancenturio]

"Your clothes would certainly make a case for that."

No, he's not giving a straight answer.

[shortstature]

[Even though Yata can be a bit brash, he's not one to push. He's assuming that the other is hinting that perhaps his clothes could give away the fact he's from the distant past. At least, he hopes that's right; he can just hear that shitty monkey and Kusanagi-san calling him an idiot. He decides not to press the issue.]

...Oh, the elevator door is opening

[In fact, Nessiah's clothes and chains are hiding a different secret entirely. The past thing is just a matter of perspective - the current day of Nessiah's world would seem like the past to Yata.]

Where have we ended up, I wonder...

Yata casually steps off the elevator, looking at the floor number.

"It looks like we're on floor 41. I don't know what's on this floor because I really haven't had time to memorize everything about this tower yet..."

Nessiah peers into the pitch-black floor itself.

"I can't make anything out... but the floor unnerves me."

[shortstature]

Yata couldn't see much either, but he got a similar uneasy feeling.

"Do you have a light? My power is fire, but I don't think it'll be a whole lot of help as a light."

[grancenturio]

Nessiah muttered a brief incantation, and a ball of light appeared between his outstretched hands. It floated further into the room, revealing wall and ceiling made of squirming, wriggling-

"Insects," Nessiah grumbled. "I would just as soon skip this floor."

[shortstature]

"U-uh...yeah...let's get out of here..."

Yata didn't like it all, but then again, not many people would. He didn't even wonder at Nessiah's spell. He's already backing up toward the elevator. He's not exactly scared, but he definitely has no interest in investigating this floor further, unless Nessiah insists.

[grancenturio]

"The stairs, I'd think." Nessiah clears his throat. He doesn't enjoy being in a small, enclosed space more than he has to.

[shortstature]

"Fine with me," Yata replies.

He turns and heads for the stairway entrance. That was one floor he'd have to remember to avoid.

[grancenturio]

The next floor down contains... boxes. Boxes high and low, and not much in them when Nessiah opens a few.

"Curious." Nessiah returns to the stairs. "It does't seem that there's much here."

[shortstature]

Since the last floor contained insects, Yata's curiosity about what may or may not be in those boxes is pretty slim.

"As long as it isn't more bugs, body parts or fucked up shit like that I'm alright with a bunch of boxes..."

[grancenturio]

"I would find little reason to complain." Nessiah smiles slightly. "Shall we head down?"

[shortstature]

"Yeah, sounds like the best plan to me. I wonder what the other floors have in them...or even if I wan to find out..."

[grancenturio]

"Better to find out with someone available to pull you out of the fire, isn't it?"

[shortstature]

"Oh I totally agree. You're kind of interesting to hang around. At least I think so."

[grancenturio]

The corners of Nessiah's lips tugged upwards slightly. "I thank you for your kind words."

[shortstature]

"It's no problem, I'm just being honest."

He gives Nessiah a smile.

[grancenturio]

"Shall we continue onward?"
