[The snowy of the ruins of the castle here look like they've been through a more recent battle: there's blood and ichor everywhere, the bodies of dead monsters all over the place, ranging from the more mundane and even completely harmless to a few that look like they'd be quite dangerous. The most striking feature of the scene is how they were apparently annihilated: everywhere, there are giant screws stuck into everything, drilling through their heads, their guts, armor, carapaces, pinning them to the ground, the trees, even into the walls of the castle.

[That is definitely a woman with pink hair and fox ears in a really revealing kimono wandering past Kumagawa's table. Good thing that's totally normal, right? (Except not.)]

[She points to the food she's carrying, which is only water and rations. In comparison, Kumagawa's kind of lucky to have hot food.]

「I know I may not look very strong, but don't you think it's kind of rude to tell someone they can't even handle shiyo ramen? It's not like I asked for tonkatsu ramen!」

「Rations?」

[He takes a look... yeah, that looks even worse than what he's eating]

「This has to be the worst service of any resort I've stayed at before. Do you think they spit in this too?」

[Just... stirring the oatmeal, scooping up spoonfuls and letting them fall back into the bowl with a disgusting "gloop" noise...]

「Is this it, my first fetch quest? Ahh, nooo, but I haven't even had any time to grind my levels at all! Please direct me to where the first dungeon is so I can get started! Or better yet, the nearest convenience store! I don't think anything in shiyo ramen would be a rare drop, would it?」

Minato note the dead monsters, crouching down and examining the screws closely. These screws are...rather big. Whoever uses them must be skilled, considering some of the monsters lying around.

Standing up, Minato continues his investigation with his sword in his hand. Hm...are they still here?]

[Kumagawa pops out from behind one of the walls, waving a hand as he trots on over]

「It was really scary for a while there! I can't believe something like this could happen! Who would commit this kind of destructive violence?」

[Says the guy splattered with blood and holding a bloody screw]

[Minato's eyes glance at the other guy, noting the blood and, more importantly, the bloody screw in his hand.

Yeah, this guy's image pretty much screams "I COMMIT THIS VIOLENCE". But for now, Minato would hear him out first.]

Whoever did this must be very strong and skilled. But are you okay? You're covered in blood.

「Blood? Oh, no, no! This is red paint! I was making a mural over there when suddenly some kind of horrible violent incident happened on the other side of the wall! It's not my fault.」

[The dim passageway seemed to stretch on forever as Thorin walked clutching Orcrist close to him. He felt uneasy, being in a place like this. Alone and confused. Just wearing white slacks and bare foot, he turned a corner along the lines of rooms. How many occupants were there here? Prisoners or occupants?

He saw the young boy ahead and wondered if he knew anymore than Thorin did.]

Greetings. Are you new to this tower? I am lost and do not know where any of the stairs lead to and from. [Rooms and more rooms.]
