i hope you see the sun
Characters: Asako Minegishi, now free of her brainwashing, and anyone really.
Setting: Forward-dating this to April 20; Room 2-15, Floors 13-14.
Format: I'll start with action, but either's fine.
Summary: Waking up from brainwashing is like the world's worst hangover multiplied by a thousand.
Warnings: Mentions of gore.
[Room 2-15]
[She didn't think it could get worse. Being proven wrong, in this case, is the worst. thing. ever. Waking up and having all those memories come rushing back - the pain, the brainwashing, the pain the wrong the staring into the end - the end itself sweet gods -
A mind exposed to the world. Literally. She touches the top of her head, half-afraid that - but no, her fingers touch hair and the stiffness of a skull. She looks at the fingers, the skin is back to being skin and she isn't made of blood and demonflesh held together by stitches and
She curls into herself on the bed and muffles a howl of anguish into her pillow. There are other people in the room, after all. They don't need to hear it.
It's the least she can do.]
[Floor 13]
[After that little wakeup, and after a very hurried breakfast, she leaves for the only place she can shut out the world for a while - the cathedral. Sound doesn't carry there, and she scurries in, sitting down on one of the pews and trying - trying - to calm down, to meditate, to something.
Crying messily ends up being the order of the day, and as far in as she is - as small as she is - people probably won't notice.
Sound doesn't carry after all - here, they can't hear you scream.]
[Floor 14]
[What's the best way for a teenager to get their mind off of being brainwashed and experimented on?
If you guessed "playing old action games in the media room", you're right! Right now she doesn't feel like beating up monsters (because they're as twisted and broken as I was) - she doesn't really feel like being all "serious business overlord", she just wants to forget for a bit. To be a teenager again, as she was before things got disturbing. It's been a little too long, and just a few minutes...that's okay, right?
This isn't the same, but it's close enough.
... At least she's not playing the Tower knockoff of Dark Souls, if indeed it even exists (hopefully it doesn't). That's a good sign, as far as sanity goes.]

However, this chapel wasn't run by Wilhelm, so chaos thought that..he might try to put it all behind him and look around. However, as he did so, he sensed someone else in the building. After wandering around, he found the source-a crying girl. Carefully, he sat down beside her.]
..So you were injured too? I am so sorry..
no subject
I - I wasn't i-njured, except - by the experiments- I got turned into a drone and they took half my skull for it.
[She seems to curl up a little, but it needed to be said.]
no subject
I know..that is what I meant. I am so sorry that they injured you in that way..destroying your free will and mangling your bodies is too cruel for words.
no subject
[She's not gonna shrug it off, but she is going to look down because what is not being lost in thought.]
C-can't help wondering if it isn't karma, though - l-least, for me.
no subject
[chaos won't mind that she's looking down.]
..I do no think it is..but may I ask why you are wondering that?
no subject
You can't tell that I'm a demon, can you?
no subject
..I did not take much notice, to be honest. It has been hard for me to rest, and I do enjoy my naps and work better with them. However..even if you are a demon, how would this be karmic retribution? God is dead in our universes for now, so he would not be able to inflict something like that on you.

Yup, this same commander that apparently carted her off like a kitten to her cousin. Funny how things work out, isn't it? People in terrible plights are apparently a walking signal for Shepard. ...But anyway--It takes a while of walking through to notice, but Shepard does come across Asako. She hasn't gotten much of a chance to talk to her since that mess on the 8th, no thanks to Jason, so the most she'll do for now is stand there and keep watch on her, not wanting to disturb her just yet.
Shepard needed space too, anyway...after experiencing Indoctrination of a sort for herself.]

Please do not carry her like a cat again. She does not like that. Judging by the look on her face, though...] You too, huh?
no subject
She gets a nod out of her either way.] Mm-hmm. If I didn't have reason to despise Jason before, [And that was impossible knowing what he did to Nanako--] I have plenty of reasons to now.
no subject
Didn't work. Just got a bunch of monsters under the beds. Literally.
no subject
[Well, that was probably exaggerating...but still.]
no subject
[Some muscles twitch in her face, and she looks back down at the ground.]
...okay, I think it's...a little too early to try to shrug it off by being a jokester....sorry.

What're you playing?
no subject
[Judging by the fact that it's actually playable, it's probably not fucking Drakengard.]
no subject
[Sad. That's one of his favorites.]
What other kinds of games do you like?
no subject
Umm...sim games, RPGs mostly, action games - right now I just need to beat something up, so I'm playing this.
[Because randomly beating up on the monsters or the drones, that - that doesn't sit right.]
no subject
[He leans on the couch.]
... Ah. They... yeah. I can see why you would wanna do something like that.
no subject
[...Wait, is the female characte-- Lineface.]
You know, I always wonder how the heck game designers think it's possible to fight at close range in an outfit like that...

[Still, Naoya walks up behind her pew, and wraps his arms around her shoulders.]
It's not your fault, you know.
no subject
It's not - that part - that was the worst thing. It sucked, not being in control, but that wasn't - that wasn't-
[Hiccup. 8(]

[He holds her a little tighter. C'mon. Let him be the big brother.]

They ripped to shreds - but i-it didn't kill...replaced half the skull with a crown and - and - you don't want to see after everything ends, Nao-nii, you really don't...
