i hope you see the sun
Characters: Asako Minegishi, now free of her brainwashing, and anyone really.
Setting: Forward-dating this to April 20; Room 2-15, Floors 13-14.
Format: I'll start with action, but either's fine.
Summary: Waking up from brainwashing is like the world's worst hangover multiplied by a thousand.
Warnings: Mentions of gore.
[Room 2-15]
[She didn't think it could get worse. Being proven wrong, in this case, is the worst. thing. ever. Waking up and having all those memories come rushing back - the pain, the brainwashing, the pain the wrong the staring into the end - the end itself sweet gods -
A mind exposed to the world. Literally. She touches the top of her head, half-afraid that - but no, her fingers touch hair and the stiffness of a skull. She looks at the fingers, the skin is back to being skin and she isn't made of blood and demonflesh held together by stitches and
She curls into herself on the bed and muffles a howl of anguish into her pillow. There are other people in the room, after all. They don't need to hear it.
It's the least she can do.]
[Floor 13]
[After that little wakeup, and after a very hurried breakfast, she leaves for the only place she can shut out the world for a while - the cathedral. Sound doesn't carry there, and she scurries in, sitting down on one of the pews and trying - trying - to calm down, to meditate, to something.
Crying messily ends up being the order of the day, and as far in as she is - as small as she is - people probably won't notice.
Sound doesn't carry after all - here, they can't hear you scream.]
[Floor 14]
[What's the best way for a teenager to get their mind off of being brainwashed and experimented on?
If you guessed "playing old action games in the media room", you're right! Right now she doesn't feel like beating up monsters (because they're as twisted and broken as I was) - she doesn't really feel like being all "serious business overlord", she just wants to forget for a bit. To be a teenager again, as she was before things got disturbing. It's been a little too long, and just a few minutes...that's okay, right?
This isn't the same, but it's close enough.
... At least she's not playing the Tower knockoff of Dark Souls, if indeed it even exists (hopefully it doesn't). That's a good sign, as far as sanity goes.]

[chaos won't mind that she's looking down.]
..I do no think it is..but may I ask why you are wondering that?

You can't tell that I'm a demon, can you?

..I did not take much notice, to be honest. It has been hard for me to rest, and I do enjoy my naps and work better with them. However..even if you are a demon, how would this be karmic retribution? God is dead in our universes for now, so he would not be able to inflict something like that on you.

It is not..in fact that is quite normal. I myself have been plagued by doubts and second thoughts before quite a few times. However..even if you are, it is important to remember that even if you did make a bad decision, you should work with it..in order to ensure that the future is a better one, if that is what you are working towards. Mistakes are part of life, after all.

[Deep breaths.]
I don't like this Tower. Know I'm saying the obvious, but...

I know..and I don't enjoy this place either. However..there might be a way to restore the universes, if we can find it. You may not have made your choice for nothing, if we can restore them. Don't lose hope.
