Hacking #09: Distractions

Setting: Floor 15, Floor 14, Floor 99 and Dorm Room 2-04 (Locked to Aleph).
Format: Brackets to start with, but I can match you!
Summary: After the events of the other week, April has decided that the best course of action is to distract herself as much as she possibly can with whatever she can.

[Floor 15]
[April tended to try to have something to work on when she's at the workshop, and today is no different. It's a bit awkward to try to work on things when one of her arms is still injured, but it hasn't stopped her before and it isn't going to stop her now. Plus, she's using her powers to help her move and bend metal anyway. And she seems to have a collection of things that she's working on, judging by the small collection of jars she has along with the random bits and pieces of metal and wire laying across the table she's working at, along with a few small lights and cds and attempts at making miniature wheels.

… Yeah, it's not really clear what she's making but at least she seems enthusiastic about it]

[Floor 14]
[Video games also tend to be a good distraction, at least to April anyway. Though her attempt at playing a racing game doesn't seem to be going well, judging how she keeps crashing the car to the point where she has to start the race over again. Which is just what happened now as she huffs and slumps in her beanbag chair slightly, pouting at the tv screen.]

D-dammit, this is really hard...

[Floor 99]
[She had never really explored this floor much before, so her restlessness eventually led to her looking around the caverns. While April did give herself a headache by examining the crystals too curiously, she does eventually decide to see what would happen if she used her electricity to reflect light through the crystals. And she is rather pleased her her results, judging by how she soon becomes focused on the little light show she managed to create along the cavern walls. And it is pretty to look at, if a bit blinding too thanks to how much twinkling is going on]

[Dorm Room 2-04. Locked to Aleph.]
[April had said a while ago that she would make a few things for Aleph, and today she's making good on the promise. Which is why she'll be knocking on his rooms door, a bag slung over her shoulder.]

Ehe, n-not really, I said I was gonna make you it. The other stuff are more part of a surprise thing.

Because I, um, just wanted to surprise you. [And she likes spoiling her boyfriend.]

And I would like making things for you. I don't see the problem.

B-because you have m-more important things to focus on, right?

She can't really think of a good argument, so he gets a hug.]

[Hugs are the best things.]

[She still looks pretty red when she pulls away slightly.] A-a-anyway, d-do you want to see the other things?

Oh - yes, of course. What's next?

[Just gonna hold the jar to him.] This is a lamp that automatically starts shining in the dark. Though there is an off button on the bottom if it gets annoying.

At least you'll have a source of light when the power goes out. And this- [She pulls out the square device.] -Is a music player.

How does it work?

[technologic]

[She points to a row of buttons on it.] Using these. This button turns it on and off, this button plays and pauses the music, and you use these buttons to choose what song you want to play, although songs will keep playing on after the other unless you pause it.

[She points to each button as she explains.] And I've already stored some songs on it too.

So... I'll always have something to dance to?

Yep! No matter where you are, if you feel like dancing you'll have music to dance to.

[Hug. The hard thing near your belly is the music player, not a penis.]

[And then mun had a case of the giggles

She squeaks quietly, and then she hugs back.] D-do you like it?

[alephbet]

Absolutely. It's why I'm hugging you so hard.

[technologic]

[Her face quickly turns red again.] O-oh... I-I'm glad that you like it. I thought that since you like dancing, having music to dance to whenever you want would be a good idea.

And you were right.

[Thankfully none of his roommates are in or she might be more embarrassed.]

[She would have been perma-red in that case.] T-t-that's good. And i-if power on it runs low, just let me know a-and I'll recharge it.
