Characters:
Dark Rin & YOU!
Setting: Floors 100, 99, 96, dormitories & the cafeteria
Time: Through end of April to early May, general tower life catch all.
Format: Quick to start, will match.
Summary: For the first time in months, Rin is without a Servant bound to her. Not only that, she's being stalked by retrieval units and a number of other individuals. The question is if her mind can withstand the paranoia weighing down on it or if she'll just brush it off without a care.
Warnings: Usual Rin warning, all tw-content will be marked if it comes up. Floor 100 prompt is kind of squicky if you know the context (crest worms).
►►► FLOOR 100;
[ Rin isn't sure what compels her to come to this floor but while she's here, she doesn't see the home that she thought she might want to see. Sure, the Tohsaka mansion is nice, but the memory is so fuzzy that all this place can work with is that dark basement. Maybe there's a part of her deep inside that misses that musky place crawling with the vermin that's familiar with every inch of her body. At least when she was there she didn't have to worry about being betrayed or left behind because by that point in her life, she was completely alone. If anyone were to invade on her privacy here though, Rin might not respond favorably. After all, that's a very crucial bit from her childhood that she might like to keep a secret. Even if she's unaware that others only see what they want to see and that the only thing giving away her privacy is her big mouth... ]
►►► FLOOR 99;
[ Her home floor or well, it used to be back before she died. Since she's returned to this body (a new one), something has been different. Is it because her vision is sharper than ever before that the light of the crystals bother her or is it something else? While she's not used to talking to herself, it has been lonely enough that she does slip up every now and again. ]
I see, I see now. This floor really is cursed to drive you mad, isn't it? [ Inane ramblings from a girl with red eyes and white hair shouldn't be all that strange to hear, right? ]
►►► FLOOR 96;
[ Her white hair matches this floor, so she's found some kind of solace in that. At least that's what she tells herself as she lays on the floor lazily with her hair spread out. Anytime she closes her eyes, her mind feels less and less burdened by her thoughts. Isn't it strange how that works out? It reminds her of how she was just a few weeks ago and then the vision of a knight in red bringing a sword down causes her to bolt upright. If anyone else was nearby to catch her, she'll just sneer in their general direction as though accusing them silently of invading her privacy. ]
►►► DORMITORIES;
[ Often Rin is paranoid. This doesn't end favorably for those who choose to play a prank by sneaking up on her and monsters that attempt to do the same end up ripped apart by her magecraft. This week, day and night, she can be found wandering the dormitory levels in her inability to sleep peacefully. Rarely does she visit her room, only going there when the paranoia of not doing so kicks in. While she's often contemplative, there are times instead where she's playing a prank of her own. The retrieval units that follow her nearby seem to have been scribbled on, messages drawn on them meant to antagonize someone, but who? And besides, who's crazy enough to get close to one to draw a penis on it's forehead?
Spoilers, it's Rin. She's the crazy one. In fact, she just might be acting out intentionally in order to draw out someone. ]
►►► CAFETERIA;
[ For the remainder of April, Rin can be found often pulling out the nutrition bars with a look of disappointment on her face. The past few months have spoiled her with Archer bringing her breakfast in bed, cooking lunch and dinner, and even being kind enough to bring her something in the middle of the night if she woke up from a nightmarenot that she's ever going to admit to that. Now she sees what it's like for others, but instead of sympathizing with them? ]
How droll. An individual of my standing shouldn't have to resort to eating this piss. [ And that's a bar thrown over her shoulder, possibly aimed at someone's head. ] I demand real food or else I'll starve!
[ Rin pls. No one cares. ]

Floor 73 - because I said so
She had gone there specifically, as evidenced by the blue furred grandcloak about her shoulders, and had been walking the ruins for a while. And then she saw someone familiar when she turned a corner.]
Rin.

[ It surprises Rin to see her in this area herself as she shifts in the snow, an empty sack resting in her hands. When she first discovered this floor with the ruins in the distance, she made a vow to return to search for anything she might be able to use. So while she's dressed in a coat, she hasn't been all that successful in looting the place.
She's also alone. The seals along her hand practically blend in with the color of her pale skin and she's quick to try to hide that, shoving the hand back into her pocket. ]
What are you doing here? [ Unaware of what a castle in snow might hold for her after all. ]

He approaches cautiously. It's not that he is afraid of Rin, but he is worried about possibly setting off her 'companions.']
Is there a purpose for...redecorating them?

He's not expecting to see the older Rin here, and he's startled for a moment. Her image is out of line with the child Rin he was remembering, but he soon recovers from the dissonance. He smiles, moving toward her.]
Rin, hello. It's good to see you.
[He is genuinely glad to see her. It's been too long, and he's missed her. Maybe when he looks at her, he still sees the little girl he used to play with here, even though he knows she's changed. He gestures toward what, to him, looks like a beautiful park.]
Can you see it, too? Do you remember?

[ Her voice is barely above a whisper when she speaks as she wonders just what's with that stupid look on his face. When she feels anger towards Kariya, it's usually for getting himself hurt or killed. Never is it for something like this, so she manages to bite her tongue enough to not lash out. ]

Seeing the retrieval units around is something he's gotten used to.

When she materializes and nearly trips over Rin as she bolts up, however, those plans are clearly ruined.]
Oh, it's just Rin. Something wrong?
[Granted, they hadn't spoken too much since the first time they met, months ago, but the Rin of Caster's world was close enough to be thought of as an ally. She can spare some shallow greetings, if not much comfort.]
no subject
[ Even if her words are sharp, the tone she speaks them is anything but. In fact, there's a little softness as she looks towards the Servant.
Caster. Hakuno's Servant? ]

Floor 100
This floor was an exact copy of his old dorm. More specifically, it was his old dorm from the last night he had spent there as it was trashed by robbers. He was looking at the very same room in the very same condition as it was the very first night he'd met that shitty brat, Last Order. He decided it was obviously some trick because it was oddly specific, but that didn't stop it from looking real.
He stood there looking at, already figuring up possible ways this illusion works when he noticed someone else was also on this floor and standing reasonably near. And, coincidentally enough, this person had white hair and red eyes. If he cared about being social, that could be a talking point, but unfortunately for this girl (or perhaps fortunately if she wasn't the social type) he wasn't interested in talking.
In fact, he was hoping to get off this floor before she saw hi- well, fuck, too late.

The tone is accusing, but soft spoken all the same. How she manages to do both is a skill that's taken years to perfect. Years of enduring what she has gone through while still remaining an ideal role model for other students at her school.
So when there's someone she thinks is near her age, she treats them with a bit more softness initially.

T— Rin!
[It's still weird calling her something other than "Tousaka," and he certainly can't pack the same amount of contempt into her given name, but considering they share the same surname... Shinji practically vaults into the room, his tone brattily demanding as he storms up to her.]
Seeing as you obviously have a lot of free time on your hands, why don't you do something useful for once and teach me magecraft?

So when he walks into his room this night, he's only expecting to see an empty bed for him, and maybe his roommates sleeping in the others. He wouldn't even be here himself, if not for the fact that he needs to come back to his room now and then or suffer. (Worse than he usually does, anyway. Somehow.)
What he doesn't expect to see is Rin sprawled out on his bed.
But that's what he does see.
Archer freezes in place. ]
future dated to the middle of the month for our records B)
Which is strange enough for her. Often she sleeps paranoid and while she's a heavy sleeper when she does pass out, that kind of sleep has escaped her for weeks. On the floor is a note she's written, crumpled and worn as if it were an older piece of documentation that she's been carrying around with her.
If he chose to pay it any attention, it's a list of where foods can be found. Identical to his, save for a couple of glaring mistakes. Floor 79 was written for Floor 76 for one. She must have written it when her memory was still foggy, her mind less human and more dark, so it makes sense why she might get a little confused. Floor 61 is listed as safe too and judging from how much she complains about eating meat, mushrooms may have been a favorite for her.
Following that list though might be a poor idea and from the looks of it, she's not exactly in the best of health. A poorly chosen combination for a salad definitely might aid in keeping her weight down by causing her to be too ill to digest anything. Her head lifts weakly only to fall back against the pillow again as she murmurs a soft call for her Servant. ]
