Summary: Zett has hide and seek to play. Then he finds a doll...

[Floor 92/Floor 73]
[If you're someone who's agreed to play hide and seek with Zett, on the agreed-upon day and time you'll find Zett tapping his foot impatiently near the stairway.] There you are!

[If you're not someone who's agreed to play, well, you might run into him waiting for his partner anyway. He'll explain what he's doing if asked.]

[Floor 99]
[Zett spends a lot of time in the caverns here. They remind him of his home in the Deep Hole, actually...

Visitors will find him just lying on his back staring up at the ceiling.]

[Around the Tower]
[It looks like Zett's giving a guide to the tower to someone, stopping at each floor on the stairway and explaining that floor's particular hazards to them. It's very thoughtful of him to do so.

Unfortunately, that 'someone' is a doll from the toy shop. Resembling a redheaded girl, it doesn't look exactly like the friend Zett left at home... But the doll's powers of suggestion are strong and he's now convinced that Mirai Kaname has entered the tower.

And he will lash out violently if anyone attempts to hurt her.]

[She considered and then nodded. Pity she didn't have an hourglass. Reaching to her watch, she started to set the timer.]

I'll up it to a hundred count. That will give you all the time in the world to find a perfect spot. I get fifteen minutes to find you, because the pyramid's not exactly small and there's lots of good places to hide.

Well, now... go on then. You'd better find a good spot. I've got plenty of experience hiding and searching little nooks and crannies.

[She gave him a wink and closed her eyes, setting them on the lip of the stairwell. Her first number counted was loud enough for him to get a good idea how long he'd have before she started the timer for herself.]

[Zett runs. The pyramid isn't as good as the castle for hiding, though it does have many hallways - he eventually chooses an out-of-the-way room filled with empty boxes, and crouches inside of one before putting the lid on himself.

Good thing he's so short.]

[He has plenty of time to wait while the countdown starts. Eventually, in the distance there's a sound of a woman's tinny little voice calling out, and the hunt is on. The voice continues to get closer as she goes from room to room. She isn't taking as much time with rooms as she could, preferring to check the obvious places first, to kick at large enough containers rather than check for openings on all of them. She's only got fifteen minutes, after all.

As she's a room away, he can here her voice chanting.]

Where, oh where is the adorable little demon, and what am I going to do with him when I find him?

[There is the sound of rustling objects from the next room before she slips out of it. Her booted feet are getting closer to this room and she walks into the room right across the hallway. More rustling was coming from there.]

I smell the blood of a little demon boy. When I find him, I'll grind his bones to make my bread...

[Oh please.

Zett stays as still as he possibly can, which is pretty still.]

[But, as her giggles started to come slowly towards the door of the room that he was in, one of the dangers of his hiding spot would become more apparent. It was a good one, given his size, but also obvious in a way. It was too perfect a spot, and no matter how light he was, when she started nudging the containers, the fact that one was considerably heaver than the others would be apparent.

Kick.

Kick.

His was the next one.]

You can hide all you want... I will find you.

[Stubbornly, he'd wait for her to actually kick his box before he'd reveal himself, though at this point he knew she was going to find him.]

[Thump. Thump thump. A hand pressed on the lid and started to lift it, one eye peeking in and a thin laugh there.]

I'm almost tempted to keep you in this container, you know...

[Snort.] I could break it.

[This is true.]

Let a girl have a brief fantasy that she has the illusion of power... [She giggled.] So, I have a dare, do I? What am I going to ask of you, now that I've caught you?

I should be careful, after all, since I should be the one to hide first. If I ask you something too mean, you might return the favor, yes?

[She winced and glanced away.]

Not the eyes, if you don't mind... everyone seems to have a fascination with them.

[Her fingers reached down and ran up, under his chin, tipping it up.]

Hmmm, why don't we try something simple and terribly inappropriate, though. Won't you give the victorious seeker a kiss... and don't try to cheap out with just a peck. After all, you're going to put me at risk next...

[Zett sighed.] You'll make a cheater out of me, but I'll go along with it for the sake of the next dare.

[He leaned up quickly into a long and thorough kiss.]

[Her fingers reached up to the back of his chin to press firmly and hold him there for just a second or two longer than he might have planned. She used the fact that she was leaning over him to her advantage to press in a little, pulling at the demon's lip, curious to see if he felt like just another human or if there was a difference to taste as her tongue brushed against his lips. Eventually, though, she did pull back, a thin trail of saliva there for a second. Her smile never left.]

Cheater, mmm? I'm afraid the island I was forced to live on gave me ... broader attitudes to that sort of thing than some.

But that's just a kiss. Hardly a cheat, I assure you.

[Right now? He felt and tasted just like any human would.]

Eheh... sure was a kiss, though.

[He rubbed at the back of his neck sheepishly. He has memories from Beelzebub of how kisses work but he actually hasn't, personally, kissed anyone before this.]

mmm. This is the second of these worlds I've been taken to. The last one... well, let's just say that kissing was the sort of thing you learned for your own health.

Glad you liked it, though. Maybe it will give me an advantage, confusing your poor little head while you hunt for me.

I'll take any advantage I can get right now... and yes, I think that fair. [Her lips brushed near to tickle along the hoodie and then she dashed off to search for a location as he started counting.]

[She went hunting for one of the sarcophagi that was open and empty, not the main one. Several were already closed, and their weight more than enough to hide hers. Finding one suitable, she slide the door closed and stilled herself as much as possible.]

[Eventually Zett came to the room with the sarcophagi. On the one hand, he wasn't going to waste time. On the other hand, kicking these would injure his foot anyway, and he didn't feel like doing that. He didn't want to leave the room unchecked, so he listened at each one of the sarcophagi.

When he came to listen to hers, he grinned and slid it open.] Found you~

[When the door opened on the coffin, she sighed over-dramatically and put the back of her hand to her head, leaning back against the wood and looking up at the roof.]

And here I thought it was such a good hiding spot too.

[She'd seen one more she wanted to save for the next round. It was definitely risky...]
