Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

I've missed you.

I've never had much luck with parties. [Even the Christmas party here had ended with him bleeding. He shakes his head and manages a soft laugh in spite of how he's feeling.] But you're right, I should try to keep my spirits up.

[It's just hard, after everything that happened, first with Diarmuid and then with the experiment.] I hope you've been doing well.

I missed you too! I haven't seen you for a long time.

[He nodded because he should.] I'm okay sir! I'm glad everyone's back to normal.

It has been a while, hasn't it? We should spend more time together. What do you like to do here? When you're just having fun.

Good. I'm glad, too. I'm always glad when those times are over.

I go on lots of adventures or practice fighting or read in the library, there's so many books! What do you like to do mister Kariya?

That sounds like fun. The library is a nice place to spend time. I like reading, too. What kind of adventures do you go on?

I spend time with my friends and my family. I come to the meadow to enjoy the flowers. And I like to take pictures. I try to find beautiful things on different floors to take pictures of.

Lots of adventures! I like swimming but Piccolo doesn't like getting wet so sometimes we go to the nice forest or the garden maze.

I didn't know you painted pictures sir! Are you good at it?

That sounds like fun. I've been to those floors before, too. Who's Piccolo?

Oh, I don't paint. I take pictures with my camera. I like to think I'm good at it.

Piccolo is my friend. [Who is currently sleeping in his shirt, he brings out the weasel now, to show Kariya.] What's a camera sir?

Oh, I see. [Kariya leans in closer, smiling.] Hello there, Piccolo. It's nice to meet you. [He looks from Piccolo to Romeo.] He's very cute. I'm sure he's a wonderful friend.

A camera is-- [Hm, how to explain it?] It's a device that takes pictures of the world. It's a box with a lens. You look through it, and you point the lens at what you want to take a picture of, and then it'll record a realistic image of what you see through the lens. The picture is called a photograph. You can keep it forever, even when what you took a picture of is gone.

I don't have my camera with me, but I have a photograph, here-- [And Kariya takes out a worn, crumpled photograph. It's a picture of him, a woman, and two little girls, all of them smiling for the camera. Kariya looks very different, his hair dark, both his eyes clear, and his face unblemished.]

[Piccolo squeaks sleepily and snuffles his nose at the new person.] He is! He came with me all the way from my village!

[He looked a bit confused at the idea of a camera, though he thought it was a bit like the video on the network. He looked at the picture for a long moment, recognizing Kariya even though he looked really different.

He remembered the way Alfredo had carried around the drawing of him and Bianca that had been put up to catch them, so he had a picture to remember by.]

Is that your family sir?

He's been with you all this time? That's amazing. You're lucky to have each other. Can I pet him?

[Kariya points at the woman in the picture, smiling, although seeing her makes him a little sad, too. He feels a pang in his chest.]

That's my best friend, Aoi. And those are her daughters with us, Rin and Sakura. They are my family. I call Rin and Sakura my nieces, and they call me Uncle Kariya.

Mmm [Romeo nodded with a grin] He like's meeting new people. [Piccolo snuffs at his hands, very happy for pets as Romeo peered at the photo again.] I bet they are really nice sir!

[For his part, Kariya is happy to pet Piccolo. It's nice, to have an actually friendly animal here. He nods.]

They're very nice. Rin and Sakura are in the Tower, but they're much older, so they look different now. Maybe you'll be able to meet them someday.

They are? [He peered at the photo again and the little girls there] I'm glad you got some of your family here sir!

Thank you, Romeo. I'm glad, too. I'm lucky to have them here. I'm lucky to have met so many good people here, too.

"I'm glad sir. That you got to make lots of more friends here!"

I don't think I knew so many people back home. It's funny, that I'd have to come to a place like this to meet them. I hope you've made a lot of friends here, too.

I have sir! I have lots and lots of friends! It makes being here okay even if it's scary and bad.
