Entry tags:
Finally, another party
Characters: ProtoLancer
puppy_lancer, Zero Lancer
oathshackledbird and anyone interested in attending a birthday party. Details here.
Setting: Meadow
Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!
[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]
[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[Though he had felt it thanks to their memory swap. That loneliness still surfaces in his nightmares sometimes feeding so strongly into his own fear of being alone.]
We just need to keep practicing, right? As odd as that might sound...

[Diarmuid drops his arm around Waver's shoulders.]
For now lets just have fun the ways we know how. Are you sure you don't want anything a little stronger than that tea?

Unless you're trying to get me drunk for whatever reason.

[Yep, that is exactly what that smirk means.]
Either that or I just want to see how you act when you are drunk. You know....for scientific purposes.

You realize I would probably be very interested in that babble? I don't know much about magic, but I wouldn't mind learning. I keep trying to understand how it works in relation to the war, but I just don't know enough to work everything out.

[Diarmuid winks at him and then laughs again.]
Or try to discuss. I'm not sure how good I would be at that considering how little I know about the topic.

Why do you say they are so outlandish? Is it just because of what others have said or because you truly think them to be so?

Which, to most of the Clock Tower, is comparable to saying 'if you squint and turn your head the sky turns purple and polka-dotted instead of blue.'

[Diarmuid sighs and shakes his head.]
I will never understand them. If the theory had enough merit that you could write a whole paper about it, then there should be some discussion of it. It shouldn't just be forgotten.
Besides...
[He grins at Waver suddenly.]
...if you drink enough or eat the right things when you tilt you head and squint at the sky, it is purple and polka-dotted. Meaning, just because something has been taken as truth forever doesn't mean it's the only truth out there. They should know that considering they know about Second Magic.

Generally and with a small handful of exceptions: they're not all that bright.

[Diarmuid rolls his eyes.]
And these are the people messing with the Throne and the Grail. No wonder everything is so messed up.
