Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[He finishes pouring his wine and finally glances in Enoch's direction, having noticed him reaching for a wineglass. He holds the wine bottle out, swinging it slowly with three fingers gripping the neck.]

Not at all! I have only met him here in this tower.

[But Lancer had told him not to come. That was the main reason he was there.]

He seems to be quite well known.

Then why did his brother ask you not to come?

*Enoch really hopes it doesn't mean the person whose speech makes him feel vaguely nostalgic did something here...

...He'll reach out to take that wine bottle, though.*

[He drops his hand as Enoch takes the bottle, lips curled in amusement. His "brother"? Interesting bonds the hound had been making. Was that what the Lancer of Fianna had been referring to before? It still somehow seemed unlikely.]

His 'brother' is the one I know. I suppose he thought I would ruin this little gathering.

*Enoch pours himself a glass of wine.*

And...may I ask what gave him the impression you would?

*Lancer didn't seem like the most responsible man in the world, but...surely, he had to have a suspicion for a reason.*

[Gilgamesh makes a dismissive gesture with his free hand, sipping at his wine before responding.]

Perhaps he does not like how grandiose my battles become! My last battle before arriving here took place across an entire city, after all.

But you don't plan to start a battle here, do you? Would he think you would?

*The more Gilgamesh says, the more confused Enoch gets.*

I cannot entirely dismiss the idea! [He laughs at the thought, and it's not readily apparent if he is joking or not.] But he is the protective sort. I am not surprised by his caution in regard to another Servant.

*But there's no need to fight here...even if a monster crashed the party, there were so many people who could fight that it wouldn't even necessarily be destructive.

He's going to get Lancer's side of the story later.*

...You said, when we first met, you were only called Archer in 'these modern times'. If I may ask...what life did you live before?

[He hums at the inquiry, giving Enoch a look out of the corner his eye. Considering. Perhaps amused.

After all, it was not every day he was basically asked to divulge his identity.]

The life of a king, naturally. Does it not show?

[He laughs at his own joke. He was well aware of how Saber referred to his behavior.]

*Yes, that would explain the entitlement. Enoch smiles a little, and takes a sip of wine.*

I suppose it does, now that I think of it... I only ask because something in your manner and speech seems...nostalgic to me. When and where did you rule?

I rule the world in every era! [...It's hard to tell if he is joking or not, from the confident tilt of his head and the lilt to his voice.

But he does eventually continue.] You speak of nostalgia, warrior of god. What does the name 'Uruk' mean to you?

Uruk...

*Had he come from another timeline, his memory might have something of interest for him. But as it is, it was a vague impression from over 200 years ago.*

...A city near one of the lakes where the Grigori fell. I don't recall much of it, aside from that. I have an impression of seeing beautiful architecture. It was a large city, wasn't it?

A grand city. [There is nothing nostalgic in his voice; when he speaks, it's with confidence that what he says is truth.] The home of the first hero retained by modern memory. The home of the king who built it walls, framed its gates.

[There's smugness to his smile as he pauses there.] Do you know his name?

*If he had settled in Uruk at all, he never learned its king's name, or if he had, it was forgotten. If he had ever met his own world's Gilgamesh, it was not memorable compared to whatever else he had to deal with on that long search for the tower.

But he did try, very hard, to recall what he could of Uruk.*

...I can't say I do. It was over two centuries ago, I don't remember...

Lamentable. [He takes a sip of his wine, his eyes shining with ... something. Amusement, maybe. Forgetting something that had occurred another lifetime ago. Or several lifetimes ago. Hm.] But I will forgive your short memory, in my great mercy!

His name was Gilgamesh. As such, that is my name as well.

Gilgamesh... *That...sounded vaguely familiar. He must have heard the name in Uruk, it would only make sense.*

Thank you for indulging my curiosity.

*It was good to know there was someone else from his own era here. Another human, at least.*

[A sound not unlike a short laugh escapes at Enoch's thanks, and Gilgamesh tilts his head with a smirk.]

Yes, yes, be honored. Not everyone seems to know the King of Heroes' name.

[If he had any inkling what kind of comfort Enoch took in his name, he would laugh. Terribly.]

*Normally, those with Gilgamesh's attitude weren't ones Enoch took so warmly to. But he managed to take it so far it somehow became less aggravating to him.*

Legends take some time to be written. ...Which name would you prefer I called you?

[He actually seems to consider Enoch's question, turning the glass in his hand thoughtfully.]

Presently, I am Archer. Past or present, I am Gilgamesh. In that sense, either name is fitting. Choose what you will, warrior of God.

That said, if you decide to use my true name, you would best learn who it is you speak to. Read the legend for yourself.

I will, and I have a friend in the library who would certainly be able to point me to it.

*Now, to find out that the tower's books don't match the history of anyone in its walls...

...at least Tohko will probably be able to tell him about it.*

[He nods, almost in approval.]

I have not spent time in the library here, but surely it will have my story somewhere. [It may not be entirely accurate, but wasn't that how things went with legends?]
