Finally, another party

Characters: ProtoLancer [personal profile] puppy_lancer, Zero Lancer [personal profile] oathshackledbird and anyone interested in attending a birthday party. Details here.
Setting: Meadow
Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[Lancelot gives Archer his own answers. Master is obviously able to speak for himself-- though Lancelot must admit that he wishes the man would allow him to do the talking.]

Whether you have a purpose in doing so, only you can say, Archer. But you lack my Master's permission to lay hands upon him-- in this, you may not do as you wish. Do you doubt that if you give insult to my Master, I will answer it?

[He wonders what is Archer's game, exactly. Lancelot does not enjoy the feeling of being manipulated or toyed with for another's amusement.]

[The smile never leaves Gilgamesh's face as he listens to the contrast between Master and Servant. In fact, as Lancelot implies violence should he 'insult' Kariya, Gilgamesh cannot help how his smile sharpens with a mixture of amusement and interest.]

How do I insult your Master, Berserker, by telling him he should smile for the guest of honor? That a happy man lives longer than a miserable one? [Even as he directs his questions at Lancelot, his eyes are on Kariya -- piercing and knowing.] He does not seem to appreciate sound advice!

[And as Archer smiles, Kariya glares. He's so condescending. Kariya hates that. Standing next to Lancelot makes him feel more confident, and Lancelot's words reassure him. He feels protected.]

You know what you did.

I don't need advice from you, and I won't take any advice you give me. I will smile for Diarmuid, but not for you. I told you, Diarmuid's my friend, and he understands. You don't know anything about me.

[Lancelot has grown weary of speaking from within his helm-- and so he removes it, holding it instead in the crook of one elbow. He judges that Archer does not mean to attack so much as he means to goad, and to be overly armored in the face of mere insults seems an indignity.
Once again, he does not address his Master's words (especially as they contain so many references to another Servant) but Archer's.]

You do not so much give him insult by your Words, but by your Actions-- and you know this very well.
If my Master asks that you not lay hands upon his person, you will not.

As well, I have heard it said that the Wise, after they have imparted their Wisdom and "sound advice", do not continue to harp upon their chosen point. My Master will do what he will do-- it is not for you to say, for all you hold yourself high.

Leave my Master be, Archer.

[His eyes finally avert back to Lancelot when the other Servant removes his helmet; really, it was about time, considering he had not bothered to shift into his own battle wear himself. If not for his complete grasp of what he was doing and his own ego, he may have been insulted by the admonishing tone adopted.

So he lifts a palm as if to stop more words from Lancelot, his smile transforming into a smirk as he winks shamelessly.]

No need to further waste your breath, Berserker. I got what I wanted.

[He laughs airily, slipping his hands into his pants pockets as he casually steps away from the other two.]
