Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[He points to several pears that are floating in the buckets.]

Would you like to try and pull one out?

[Quickly, Yotsuba finishes eating and puts the remains of the fruit on the table. Juice was still on her face, and some had dribbled onto her shirt, but she didn't seem to mind.]

I would! I'll pull it out!

[And with that, Yotsuba would close her eyes, put her hands behind her back, and stick her face into the bucket. It took her a few tries, but she eventually managed to pull out a pear, which she held out for Diarmuid.]

This is for you! Eat up!

[Diarmuid watches her with a happy look on his face as she bobs around for the fruit. When she comes up with one, he claps for her before taking it from her with a bow.]

My Lady is too kind. Thank you.

[He shakes some of the water from the pear and then takes a bite himself, his eyes closing in pleasure. The fruit actually is quite good.]

It is just as good as you said, little one. Both sweet and sour, but also very light. And messy.

[He laughs, wiping some juice from his mouth before taking another bite.]

You're welcome! But..why is Yotsuba your lady?

[Sadly, Yotsuba didn't know about many titles, just the most basic ones, and even those were sketchy at times.]

It is yummy! Curry is super yummy..but this is good too!

[Not that Yotsuba really cared that it made a mess if one wasn't careful.]

Ah, it is just an expression. Don't let it trouble you.

[Diarmuid reaches out and pats her on the head.]

Can you tell me what curry tastes like? I have never had it.

[Yotsuba accepted it, smiling. While there were a few things she liked more than headpats, she still enjoyed them.]

Okay. Yotsuba won't! And curry is spicy and yummy! It has chicken and potatoes..and rice! And a red sauce!

It sounds very interesting and complex.

[Perhaps it is just because he came from a time so long past, but even with the new foods he has tired, he still finds himself liking the simple ones the best.]

Do you have any other favorite foods you would like to tell me about?

[In her time period, curry was a pretty simple food, even if Yotsuba herself didn't know it. While she didn't know what the word 'complex' meant, her attention was distracted by Diarmuid's question.]

I like ice cream! And watermelon! And candy! And ramen!

So you like a lot of things? That is good!

[Diarmuid picks the girl up, swinging her around for a moment before settling her into his arms again.]

Do you have a favorite kind of ice cream or kind of candy?

[Yotsuba would let Diarmuid pick her up and swing her around, laughing as he did so. Her father had sometimes swung her around like a helicopter, so this was a game that wasn't unfamiliar.]

Chocolate ice cream! And Yotsuba likes pocky! And chocolate! And konpeitō! And cake!

Pocky? Konpeitō? What are those?

[At least the chocolate he recognized thanks to Tohko and Mami...]

Pocky is a cracker stick with chocolate on it! And knopeito are tiny pieces of candy that come in all sorts of colors! They look like stars! They're yummy!

They both sound very...yummy.

[Diarmuid can't help but smile at her enthusiasm. He also can't help but be curious about the star shaped candy she describes.]

What does the konpeitō taste like? I already know how chocolate tastes, but I don't know how this other candy you describe would taste.

They are! And konpeito is sweet!

[Yotsuba, that's not very helpful.]

[It might not be very helpful, but it is enough for now.]

Sweet things are good. Hopefully, I will get to try some someday. Now, I shouldn't keep you all to myself. There are a lot of people here. Would you like to go talk to some of them as well? I will be here through the whole party, so if you would like to come back and talk or play some more, I would be glad to do so.

[Yotsuba actually liked that suggestion, but she didn't want to leave Diarmuid.]

Let's go play with everyone else together!

Are you sure? I don't want to hog you all to myself, but if you would like to go around with me that would be fine too.

[He bounces her in his arms, slightly.]

Do you see someone you want to talk to first? I do believe I saw Enoch in the crowd earlier.

I would like to go with you! But..you're not a pig, Diarmuid.

[While Yotsuba knew that a pig could be called a hog, she hadn't heard the other way the word could be used yet. Or, if she had, she had forgotten it. Her vocabulary was weird, due to her Grandmother, reading some of the things her Daddy was working on while she was in his lap, and the normal trouble kids had with new words. Yotsuba smiled and laughed a little at the bouncing.]

Oh! Yotsuba didn't see Enoch..but it's good that he's here! I would like to say hello to him!

No, no I'm not.

[Diarmuid laughs and then looks around for Enoch. When he spots the other man, he taps on Yotsuba's shoulder.]

Look there he is! Lets go talk to him.

[Fortunately, Yotsuba wasn't the type to ask why Diarmuid had said hog when he knew that he wasn't a pig. Instead, she focused on the sights around her..but when Diarmuid tapped on her shoulder, she smiled, looking at the man.]

Oh, there he is! Hello, Enoch!~

[The rest of the party should have been a fun one for the two..if things kept on going like this, Diarmuid would find himself becoming a father figure to Yotsuba.]
