Finally, another party

Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

[Thorin glanced up at the woman before him. He hadn't seen her face around the tower, so this was someone new to meet. He nodded in acknowledgement.]

Greetings, my lady. Have you come to mingle with the tower guests and try the food and drink also?

[ He is by far also the politest dwarf she's ever met. ]

In a sense, yes. My friend is the... guest of honor and one of my other dear friends is the host.

[ She laughs softly. ]

Have you just come to the party tonight? I arrived rather late myself, so forgive me if I am mistaken.

[He isn't always so polite if you are an elf. Thorin can be polite when the mood takes him though, as he doesn't want to be thrown out for being a grumpy dwarf.]

Aye, just tonight. I heard about the party from others within the tower. May I ask what brings you out here tonight?

[ Luckily, Cecil, though not completely human herself, is not an elf. Actually, elves were a troublesome lot on her world and she didn't have the best of experiences with them either. ]

Our friend Diarmuid. His birthday was a little over a week ago. It was decided that this celebration should wait until better foods from the cafeteria was available. I have little skill with cooking, but from what I understand, the sparse ingredients available last month were not the best choices for a birthday feast.

The cafeteria never serves what people desire. Is this intentional? Perhaps, something that the admins can taunt us with. [Thorin frowned. Damn then for trying to poison them once with oatmeal, that had something unmentionable within it.]

I can't say for sure, but it does appear that way. They've control over practically every aspect of our lives here. Choosing what we can and cannot eat is just one more to them.
