Falling from cloud nine

Setting: Floors 1, 2, 4, 6 and the Elevator

Summary: Yet another new arrival exploring the area.

Floor Six | Forest
[To be perfectly honest Lenalee was not expecting such an expansive forest to be here. Sure it wasn't entirely a surprise to see some sort of greenery in this place as the Facility had several as well. Anyone around will notice her just standing there near the elevator, taking it all in. She doesn't dare move in further at the moment. Do you interrupt her reverie?]

Floor Four | Glass Room
[There in the middle of the room people will find Lenalee standing motionless. Yet again there was no way out for them. Not a visible one. Trapped yet again when they were so close to freedom. If only they could just break free of these prisons... One of her hands is clenched tight at her side and her hair covers most of her face.]

[Anyone nearby might hear her mutter quietly:] It's not fair.

Floor Two | Infirmary
[This floor was useful to know about. Chances are there are bound to be injuries in the future. And speaking of injuries, Lenalee steps off on this floor to find some disinfectant for her own wounds. For those wandering about this floor they will see her tending to some wounds, some of which require bandaging. There's a particularly bad cut down her arm that's she's attempting to disinfect but it looks like she's having a little difficulty with it.]

Floor One | Cafeteria
[Ah, the food area. Lenalee's especially glad to see that there's an actual kitchen in this place. Maybe that means they'll be able to cook and have big group dinners together -- that is, if there's anyone else from her little family here. She doesn't really explore but instead takes a seat at one of the tables. Here is where she said she'd wait for the Inspector and Emilia, and here is where she'll stay. Doesn't mean Lenalee couldn't do with some company while she waits.]

The Elevator
[In the corner of the elevator one will find one teenaged girl wearing a red dress with black leggings and armwarmers. She looks battered, bruised and a bit dirty. Though Lenalee did hastily pull her hair up into a casual ponytail before leaving the room. What might be strange is a fuzzy little yellow Tribble on her shoulder. It's purring but doesn't seem to have a head - or any limbs at all, actually. There's also another thing with her, it's a small, black creature with a giant eye-like center and a pair of wings nestled on top of her head.]

[Curious thing about Lenalee is that she doesn't get off on any of the floors, choosing instead to stay on the elevator and simply peer into them.]

I think it has something to do with these collars. Only thing my eye can't see are souls and, well, these things are more than just gaudy. [His free hand reaches up and grabs hold of his violet choker-like collar.]

[...and then there was that little thing that Link told him...]

Link only mentioned that you guys went somewhere else before coming here. And if he had told me you and Link were in outer space a few months ago, I wouldn't have believed him.

[Inspector Link also insisted this was true, too. While Allen was in the tower, they had gone somewhere else first.]

That's it, though. He never said how bad you and the others had it there--[The hand that gripped his sleeve was overtaken by the hand it belonged to in a soft grip of its own.]--but we'll just do what us Exorcists always do, right? *smile*

It wouldn't surprise me if they did limit abilities. [The last one she had could do that. Her own collar is indigo in color.]

What he said is true. We were in space as unbelievable as it sounds. [Because she knows that this Allen probably has some reservations about Link.]

[She doesn't mention that Allen had been there too.]

[At his touch - and his smile, Lenalee returns it with one of her own.]

It wasn't all bad there. Kanda, Lavi and Miranda were there too. [Lenalee doesn't mention that Komui and Alma were too but that they were terminated.]

Sounds like things went a lot better there than here. [There's that "oh it wasn't so bad you're strong" attitude again.] The only person I knew here was Road, believe it or not. She's not here anymore, though.

[Or maybe she is? Who can be sure?]

But now I guess I have to believe it since you're saying it's true. Outer space... I don't know exactly where "here" is, really.

[Tim finds its way out of Ms. Lee's grip and onto her shoulder, pinching itself into a sitting position opposite the tribble-being.]

We were together, at least. [She can't exactly say it was better or not - as she doesn't know what this place is like yet.] Did she try to attack you?

[She knows that the Noah can get a little weird when stuck in a place like this.]

It was hard to believe for me too when I got there. Maybe we'll find out.

[Don't mind her golem's wing touching Tim with that new position.]

Can't say she did. She was just all "Oh Allen~!" like she's always been.

[As for the tower...it's just a big world of smoke or fog.]

...but now that I think about it, I don't want to know what the world is like outside of this place.

[Allen lets go of her hand.] But I bet you're a lot stronger now than you were back then, right?

Oh, Tyki behaved most of the time too.

[Lenalee wants to know. Because it was possible that there was freedom out there.]

I think it'd be interesting to know.

[She tucks it behind her, linking it with her other hand.] I'm not sure. Things weren't always easy but I had a lot of people with me.

Heh, having a lot of people with you tends to create conflict, doesn't it? [His left hand extends, grasping at nothing as he stares at the cross on it--it's completely unclothed, revealing the inhuman and mangled form of the Innocence.] I bet you've gotten a lot stronger, actually. Because I know I have.

[He's also gotten hurt a lot, too. About the usual amount per mission. And then there was that incident with the 14th Allen died once and it was uneventful.]

There's a floor somewhere that shows what it's like outside. It's...just foggy. And whatever lives out there definitely don't look friendly.

There's been a few. [She looks down at it, not out of fear but curiosity. It's easier to focus on him then it is her. If she lets herself she think back to Komui's deaths, Emilia and Alma's termination, Miranda's death, Lavi's mental state, Kanda's exploratory surgery - she won't be able to stop thinking about it.] Maybe in some ways. I may have gotten weaker in others.

[She can take physical pain but loss is something that makes her crumble.]

I've seen it, but there might be something beyond the fog. Even if it's dangerous.

[Allen's smile remains, but it takes on a more compassionate side. Inwardly, he's quite aware of what she means by "weaker", having felt it himself with her. Suman Dark was never really that far from his thoughts...] You're not the only one.

[A small part of him also missed Road, if in a mixed-feelings sort of way. The tower had no small supply of suffering even in this brief respite.]

[His eyebrow raises.] Really? How'd you manage to see what's out there? Didn't you just get here?

A place like this changes people. [Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.]

[To be honest, she won't be surprised at the suffering.]

Not like that. I saw the fog. But there has to be something out there.

[whiteblackknight]

[Allen's gaze left her as he looked off above and away, his hands now on his sides.] Can't say that's wrong, but change follows us no matter where we go. Only difference is how. I can't say these seven months have been exactly kind, and it's affected everyone...but if you think for a moment, everyone else here has a story, too.

[He turns back to Lenalee and Tim prepares its legs and leaps into the air to float gently to his hand.] When it's put that way, I really don't have time to just think about myself...

That's true. [But she doesn't really want to know their story -- not until she has her family back.]

Sometimes, it's better to think about it. To think about being free. [That's how Lenalee survived, not just at the Facility but also at the Order.]

[whiteblackknight]

[There's a certain feel to his hesitation, as the look on his face shows no emotion other than maybe a small sadness.] Maybe I am just too used to this.

[Tim cranes its head at its master. While the little thing can't speak, it can understand words perfectly. And, if its master is concerned, feelings as well.]

[Lenalee doesn't say anything for a moment, she just leans into his side a bit. A touch meant to be comforting.]

It'll be okay, Allen.

[She doesn't have his level of optimism but experimentation - that's something she knows, understands and lived through. It has reigned supreme for most of her life.]

[Allen's hand extends almost immediately to her far shoulder and pats it softly.]

Heh, yeah, always ends up that way, doesn't it? [He had almost forgotten that this is supposed to be a "happy" moment.]
