return to what you must do
Characters: Sertoria Cani and YOU.
Setting: Room 1-03, Cafeteria, Floor 15, Third Block through Sixth Block.
Format: Action, but I can match.
Summary: Sertoria returns to the tower and decides to return straight to work.
Warnings: Possible feels...?
[ Room 1-03 ]
[ Those in the room can find a blond-haired android laying down in the bed as if she's asleep. Her eyes slide open and she sits up, looking around. Okay, this wasn't Quaeda. She was in the...
Oh, in Joshua's name--
Sertoria allows an irritated growl to come forth from her mouth before running a hand through her hair. She stretches her limbs before standing up and looking around, feeling her head. So, her headset was still there as well as her visor. She places a hand around her neck and feels her restraint while noticing there was one on her wrist as well. So her equipment was there, but she felt awfully light... ]
Check current storage specifications.
Current storage reveals basic specifications for unit. Unit CXEV5001 does not carry any weaponry... Current storage scan is complete.
[ Sertoria leans down to her chest, noting her photo album, operating manual and her trusty gunblade as well as the hilts of her sword and rifle. She presses a button on her arms and one on her leg to store her weaponry before they just disappear.
She takes another glance down at herself before noticing that she was just in her tunic. She takes her dusty, tattered robe and adjusts it slightly.
Oh, wait. She might have roommates. Oops. ]
Ah--hello. Pardon me, I did not mean to disturb you. If you have not seen a robot before, please note that I've come in peace. I do not wish to harm you.
[ And a smile! ]
[ Cafeteria ]
[ Even though Sertoria knows she cannot process it, she knows that the tower could be unforgiving. So, she's sitting down at a table and eating (well, slurping) the oatmeal like a good girl. She cannot taste it, so she's spared the misfortune of ever knowing what it tastes like. ]
...I do not see what is so bad about this.
[ Maybe it's because you're unable to taste it, Sertoria. ]
[ Floor 15 ]
[ Upon entering the workshop, Sertoria strolls through the area. It's clear she's not the lightest of people, since every step she takes is weighted due to the frame she was designed with. She's hoping to see Doc here, but if she can't, then that's fine. She can wait to hopefully see him again. ]
...Um. Doc, are you here? It is me, Sertoria. It's been a while!
[ Please don't let her be wrong here. She was in her hellhole of a world for a while. It would be nice to see a friend after so long. ]
[ Third Block Onwards. ]
[ Sertoria has figured it out that the tower has gotten bigger, and as such, her external and internal maps should get updated. She's sketching down everything she can ahead of time and memorizing it with her infinitesimal data bank. She can be approachable as she's opening the doors to several rooms, but never staying inside long enough - her ocular sensors take care of that much. ]
...How many floors are there...? [ She quietly mutters, tapping a pen against her cheek in thought, quietly humming before returning to work. Looks like the work here is never done! ]

Third block and beyond.
That is no fun if I have to guess, sir.
[ Purposefully (or is it?), she tries to pull a disappointed look and attempts to hold it. ]
Third block and beyond.
Oh? Might I inquire as to why? It might be interesting to see what you can come up with.
Third block and beyond.
[ It's a good thing she's able to talk like this with him. It means she's not completely emotionless. ]
Third block and beyond.
Not at all. I would be interested in hearing all the different deductions you could come up with.
Third block and beyond.
Although, I do believe that whatever I will come up with you will not confirm nor deny.
Third block and beyond.
I will at least confirm that you are correct in that deduction.
Third block and beyond.
So, I suppose we will have to agree to disagree here, as the saying goes. You are a very interesting person. What is your name so I may stop referring to you as "sir"?
Third block and beyond.
Third block and beyond.
[ A pause. ]
So, do you bring discord wherever you go? Or is it a nickname?
Third block and beyond.
[It was more accurate to say that it was a false name, but, considering his nature, any name you gave him would be false, wouldn't it?]
Third block and beyond.
[...] I am sorry.
Third block and beyond.
It is alright. Do not worry about it. However, are you alright, if you do not mind my asking?
Third block and beyond.
It's only chaos' hand that brings her back to reality again. ]
I [...] am relatively fine. Everything is operational.
Third block and beyond.
I am glad to hear that..but I shall also rephrase myself: are you emotionally well? My offer to help you in the swimming pool still stands, if you are interested. If not, that is also fine.
Third block and beyond.
Negative, I am not emotionally well. I am sure it is very noticeable to you.
[ She just nods silently to his offer. She would at least like to try it. ]
Third block and beyond.
It is..but that is alright. I find no fault in being sad in front of others.
[At the nod, chaos would nod back and motion for Sertoria to follow him before walking through the hallway and down the stairs. If Sertoria wanted, she could reach and grab for his hand, to make it easier to keep up.]
Third block and beyond.
You must understand, I have not developed sad emotions that much beyond the very basics. I also do not like to show my weakness in front of others since I have a feeling people would try to use it against me.
[ She grabs at his hand along the way, hoping he doesn't mind the coldness of her metal or silicone here. ]
Third block and beyond.
That is alright. It means that these emotions can develop a bit more so that you can understand them in the future, I think. However..I do not think that most people you encounter here will try and use your emotions against you.
[chaos didn't mind that at all, since feeling heat and cold could be optionally to him if he wanted to. So, he just took her hand and smiled as they kept walking down and through the hallways. It would take a little while to reach the seventh floor, even if it wasn't too far away.]
Third block and beyond.
I do trust the denizens of the tower, but I know better that there are a few who like to cause discord amongst us.
[ She manages to keep up with him well enough as they were walking through the hallways. Even here, she was on high alert for any monsters that would show. She didn't trust the tower itself to be so kind to them for their little activity. ]
Third block and beyond.
There are always people like that, wherever you go. However..that should not stop you from trying to develop them. I have found that, most of the time, people will not try to use your emotions..and if they do and succeed, it is not the fault of the person they have hurt.
[chaos had been in the Tower long enough that he knew monsters usually only came out during the night, but even though he looked pretty calm, he was ready if anything should show up.
..Eventually, they would reach the seventh floor, with a large pool and a few locker rooms containing swimsuits to greet them.]
Here we are. Shall you need to get changed?
Third block and beyond.
Well, if I have lived for as long as I have, I should be able to develop them as quickly as I can.
[ Sertoria knew more than anything to stay alert, even when doing mundane things since the tower could do anything at any time to him.
When they were at the seventh floor, she took one final glance behind her shoulder before entering. She picked up a swimsuit, giving chaos a nod.
However, she's not too familiar with the human concept of changing in private. So, off goes her robe and her tunic - revealing a peach casing underneath her clothes. She studies the swimsuit for a few seconds, as if trying to figure out how to put it on.
Eventually, she slips it on and adjusts her hair. ]
...This is how this goes on, right?
Third block and beyond.
Unlike Sertoria, chaos was very familiar with the concept of changing in private, due to modesty and other factors, and while he did not really care about seeing her peach casing, he did nod as she put on the swimsuit and adjusted her hair.]
That it is. However, it might be best to use the changing rooms here next time if people are around. You and I do not mind, but there are others who would be embarrassed or would tease you for undressing yourself in the open.
[As chaos spoke, he pulled off his shoes and gloves, and went into one of the changing rooms for a moment before coming back, naked except for a pair of swimming trunks.]
Third block and beyond.
Upon hearing chaos' words, Sertoria shamefully covered her chest up like she had seen it with females who were found exposed. ]
I - ah, sorry. I will try to keep that in mind for the next time we do this.
[ She may be old, but she can still learn. She waits for chaos while leaning on one of the walls. She straightens up again when he comes out, offering him a smile. ]
Third block and beyond.
It is alright. You did not know, and I do not mind.
[He wouldn't have minded undressing in front of her either, but she..probably would not have been comfortable with that, and he wanted to set a good example.]
Should I jump in first, to help you float?
Third block and beyond.
Very well.
[ She plays idly with her restraints, wondering if they were waterproof. Quickly, she checks her maintenance manual and sees that, indeed, they are. ]
If you would not mind. I would sink if I jumped in first.
