[The elevator dings as its doors slide open--that's not an unusual occurrence, really, for a floor that not only houses one of the elevator stopping points but also the most reliable food sources. What's unusual, though, is the boy who steps out of it.

Zo enters the cafeteria, looking around as if he hasn't seen it in some time, which is true. He's followed by one retrieval unit. While she looks as blank as any retrieval unit, her collar is chipped and she wears glasses. In fact, she might be a bit familiar to some, though she will not respond (but there's something... Unusually alive about her, even so).

Though he's careful not to stray far from his bodyguard, he smiles at the floor in general.]

Um... Hi! Wow, it's been a while since I've been up here!

I'm visiting. [He walks over to her to sit in one of the cafeteria chairs. The retrieval units follows closely behind him.] How are you?

[technologic]

[The unit gets a quick wary look, and then she glances back to Zo.] Oh, okay. I'm... all right, just been keeping myself busy. How about you?

[animusnpcs]

I guess just the usual stuff I do. I think I'm doing better at running everything than last time.

[technologic]

Yeah, I agree. Though is it all right for you to be up here?

[animusnpcs]

Sure! It's my month, so I can do what I want.

[technologic]

Hehe, that's true. [Pause. And then she offers some of her food to Zo.] Um, do you want some? Though I know it's really only bars and stuff...

[animusnpcs]

[Zo shakes his head.] I can't really taste it, and Jason'd get mad at me.

[technologic]

Mm, okay... [She pokes at her food for a second.] Why would Jason get mad?

[animusnpcs]

Well, we all have different months making the big decisions, but everybody has their own jobs, too. Like how I save people every month even when it's not my turn to do other stuff. And Jason's in charge of the food supplies, so he'd get mad.

[technologic]

Aha, I see. [She gives her food a frown now.] And what kind of food it looks like depends on the one in charge that month, then?

[animusnpcs]

Right. Jason doesn't use any glamour on the food, Riki is the best with it so his glamour is usually really elaborate, and Ruana usually likes candy and stuff but I think she was mad last month.

[technologic]

Oh, yeah, cause some of us broke the glamour... [April balances her chin in her hand as she thinks.]
