Summary: Zo visits the residential levels of the Tower.

[The elevator dings as its doors slide open--that's not an unusual occurrence, really, for a floor that not only houses one of the elevator stopping points but also the most reliable food sources. What's unusual, though, is the boy who steps out of it.

Zo enters the cafeteria, looking around as if he hasn't seen it in some time, which is true. He's followed by one retrieval unit. While she looks as blank as any retrieval unit, her collar is chipped and she wears glasses. In fact, she might be a bit familiar to some, though she will not respond (but there's something... Unusually alive about her, even so).

Though he's careful not to stray far from his bodyguard, he smiles at the floor in general.]

Um... Hi! Wow, it's been a while since I've been up here!

[Archer leans against one of the tables as he watches this new boy gain so much attention. He smiles and tilts his head, sipping at his soda before commenting.]

Everyone seems to treat you well.

[animusnpcs]

I guess I'm a little lucky. [He smiles.] I like talking to everyone, though, so it's good!

[bowandblade]

A little. [His smile widens as he muses over the understatement.] A child should be socializing at every opportunity, and yet your presence is treated with surprise.

[animusnpcs]

I'd come up more if I could, but usually the other don't let me. I even have to sneak onto the computers!

[bowandblade]

Such willfulness! I encourage you to do so more often. [He leans over with the hand that isn't still holding his drink, intending to tap at the retrieval unit with the boy.] You are in need of guard detail?

[animusnpcs]

[Zo glances back at the retrieval unit.] I'm not sure. If no one attacks me, then I won't need her, but it's probably better to have her here. I can fight back, too, but it hurts people more when I do it.

[bowandblade]

[The prospect of being hurt by a child makes it easy to laugh.]

A bold statement. Then the truth is that she does not protect you from us; she protects us from you.

[animusnpcs]

I don't know, some of you can do a lot of things! There are people from all over.

[bowandblade]

That is true! And yet I find my powers restricted in a place such as this. [If they could even be considered working at all, with that glamour around.] This Tower of Animus is quite a peculiarity.

[animusnpcs]

I think everybody thinks you'd all destroy the Tower if you had your real poewrs.

[bowandblade]

[He continues to smile, particularly at the idea of destroying the tower.]

I have not heard anything positive about this tower's existence, so I would think it is a natural reaction to imprisonment.
