Characters: Tear Grants & EVERYONE
Setting: Floors: 29, 19, & 13
Format: Either (you pick I follow)
Summary: Tear arrived in the Tower and emotions are building up because of where she was taken.
Warning: N/A for now will add if there are later.
[ floor 29 - gardens ]
The fragrant smells of the garden danced around Tear as she stepped onto the floor. After waking up abruptly from her sleep, seemingly missing her weapon mace, Tear went in search for them. After finding her proper clothes or clothes that seemed proper enough for her, the maiden wandered into this floor. The smell reminded her of Auldrant, and there was a sort of frown placed on her face as she remembered from reading that it told her some details about her world being destroyed. The collar on her neck was a huge indication telling her that she was not dreaming but in reality. It felt as though this place seemed rather foreboding.
She kept her guard as she slowly and quietly ventured her way down the garden and into the maze. She didn't seem to find danger to be a problem, since she was used to it on a daily basis. What frustrated her was the fact that she and her friends were fighting to stop her brother, and in the end, their world was destroyed. She wasn't sure exactly how she was suppose to take all the information in but she managed to somehow suppress the thoughts from going out of control. There was a solemn look on her face, masking any of her concerns as she ventured to cool her head and tried to find her lost companions. She only hoped that they were alive.
She did not want to believe such things were true but even so, if the outcomes were true, she would still hide her sorrow. Tear always hid everything from the naked eye. It was not easy to express herself as others did. Legretta did a great job keeping her like this and at a time like this it was quite useful without a doubt. While she was treading this area, Tear was also trying to find her companions, her friends. They were nowhere to be seen, but she didn't want to think that they were dead. She couldn't believe that Auldrant could end with that. She had to make sure she could find her friends and ensure their safety.
That was the thing that brought her to this area in the first place.
[ floor 19 - library ]
In the luxury of the library, the fonist was casually going through various types of books to skim through and retain information. It didn't seem like the library provided much, but being someone who was proactive on learning about her situation, Tear definitely had been reading a lot of books. If anyone caught her, she's surrounded by a few piles of book in the deepest corner of the library. She was leaving that space for now to go through more books to take back to her spot with her. It might be strange, to some, but information was crucial. Tear was a soldier and taking action was what she needed to do to find answers.
She didn't find her friends and she had no idea how to access the communication servers. The library was the best choice. She wondered if she could still find her friends. There were various floors lining this tower and it appeared endless. It seemed like it was an impossible task but she knew she was going to find them no matter what. At least, until people told her otherwise. Tear wasn't going to believe simple things without evidence. She needed proof that her friends were dead. Otherwise, she was going to believe in them and know that they were alive and out there. They were strong people and she didn't want to belittle their willpower and their strengths. They would pull through somehow.
Most of all, the lack of a certain red head also worried her. She was concerned for his safety and what might have become of him if something like this were to happen. Knowing the painful truth of his demise made everything seem colder and darker. Tear concentrated on her readings, but those thoughts continued to plague the back of her mind.
[ floor 13 - gothic cathedral ]
Anyone passing by the Gothic Cathedral could hear a voice penetrating it's premise. The sound is melodic and the song sounds like a hymn of some sort. It was sung in a language that was hardly recognizable except for those who frequently spoke and knew the language. The singing continued for a long time, as if someone was trying to make a point or a gesture with the lyrics. If anyone approached the actual cathedral, and entered it, sitting in one of the wooden benches would be a young girl with long light brown hair singing loudly. Her attire appeared to be something foreign and her posture seemed very strict. Other than that the sounds continued to penetrate the walls of the Gothic Cathedral.
Tear was using this opportunity to relax herself and sing to her heart's content. She was distressed because she was unable to see the end of what was about to be finished. She didn't get to say anything to her brother. She didn't get to do anything because she was here. It was a feeling of helplessness and frustration that built up while she was sitting there singing. She ventured many floors and ended up with this one, in which reminded her dearly of home. A place where she wanted to protect and a place that she wanted to see flourish.
Eventually, depending on the time she was approach, Tear might be sitting staring at the decorations and the glass of the Cathedral that somewhat reminded her of Daath, in which she sort of had a lingering attachment to. The Daathic Catedral. It left memories but at the same time, it was also a place of her mentor and teacher as well as her own soldier life before everything fell apart. She still hoped that there was a way to save Auldrant, even if it was said to be destroyed. She couldn't believe it all. Was all the effort for naught? Everything was meshed in her mind and Tear was unsure what to do about it other than moving forward. Moving forward was always what she did but what about now?

He doesn't say anything yet. Not stalking!!
Re: 29
On the other hand, she didn't want to waste the chances of searching for her friends. To find information and to find her dear companions that she was concerned about. Tear wanted to make sure that they were okay if they were here. Even if those notes wanted to make her doubt, she kept her belief strong.

"There are no gods to sing to, here."

"Yes, I'm quite aware."
She replied. The peacefulness of the Cathedral was comforting for someone who had just arrived and was far away from home, "Are you a resident of this location?"
no subject
"You are likely new to this place then, if you ask that question... well, I'll start with an introduction, then. My name is Cerberus. And I am..." he hesitates. "I am a Legion of one. In this place, a protector of humanity, and someone who does his best to stand against those that brought us here. This particular floor is relatively safe but some are full of monsters. Are you able to protect yourself?"

Floor 13 - Because I can never not tag Ion to the Cathedral
Something familiar and friendly that isn't sharpened at the edges by his own lingering feelings of guilt.
But there she is, sitting at one of the pews. Ion's face relaxes. It's not good at any of them are in the Tower--but it's better that she's not dead, or a battery.]
I've always enjoyed hearing your hymns, Tear.
1/2 I'm getting feels already... IOOONNN
She couldn't quite register what was going on, since she had never expected to see this person again, this important person who had healed her of the contaminated fonons that were inside her body. The one that sacrificed his life for them all to move on.
Needless to say, Tear was touched with surprise. ]
and awwwww Ion.... and Cathedrals ;__;
She never had thought that a place like this could do such a thing, but at the same time it could also be an illusion brought together by this unfamiliar face. Either way, Tear kept herself guarded but spoke with a tone of concern. ]
Fon...Master.
[ She wanted to ask many questions, but Tear had to calm herself down. She couldn't let her emotions overwhelm her rationality. The last person she had expected to see here was Ion but with Ion's presence, she felt as though everyone else was alright as well. She was full of sadness and guilt herself, but she was somehow content to see Ion, even if it was a fabrication, and even if she might be fooled by it.
Somehow, there was that thought on the back of her mind making her not want to doubt that Ion was a fabrication. Maybe it was okay to think that he was well and alive. It was a nice thought, but Tear was unsure. This foreign place had things she never knew about. ]
they go together like ramalamalama dadingiddingdadong
Because somewhere out there, the Tear from before was still fading away. And this Tear didn't know anything of the horrors that awaited her, here. However, even if that was the case, she was still alive (in a sense). So for that, although his eyes seem troubled, he doesn't stop smiling.]
I'm glad to be able to see you again. It's been too long.
[Though he doesn't know how long it's been for her--how could he? Certainly, the time she was pulled from was different from his own. All he knows is that he feels as if it's been ages. The Tower has not been kind, in that respect.]
ahahahah I suppose they do!!!
I thought about putting more Grease lyrics here but decided it was a bad idea LMAO khbdfsg
lollll that is a wonderfully bad idea!!!! XD
I'M FULL OF WONDERFULLY BAD IDEAS

"Tear! Tear!"
It probably wasn't good to run in a library, either, but the former Fon Master Guardian had never been one for convention, anyway. She's hurrying right over to her friend, her eyes wide.
no subject
Tear sets the book down and stands up, relief comes across her face as she finds the former fon master guardian coming towards her. Perhaps it is a good idea to venture to the library.
"Anise, are you alright?"
She muses as soon as Anise got close to her and she notices the wideness of her eyes.
no subject
She takes in a few quick gulps of air and looks her over. It's really Tear. Anise had seen her here before, but it was so brief - Tear had disappeared so soon after - that sometimes she thought it had just been one of the Tower's tricks, because the administrators were cruel like that.
"You're here! You're actually here..."
Anise looks her over carefully, inspecting the melodist for any injury or any sign of the Tower doing something to her.
"I thought I'd never see you again. This place, it's..." She frowns. "How long have you been here?"

[let's 19 and be different] [fucking prose I haven't done prose in forever]
Even from a glance, though, there's obviously something different - the missing tabard is the most obvious thing, exposing the underlayers of his uniform. Next is the flowers tied around the scabbard of his sword - they're a little wilted and could probably use replacing, but it's still more color than he's ever worn before.
And then, is she's paying enough attention, there's his posture, his expression; Asch is relaxed, for a certain value of it, the constant tension of his body lessened. At the sound of footsteps, though, he looks up, a bit of surprise on his face.
"Tear?"
prose!!! yayy hehe :D
"Asch?!" but definitely she catches the strange offness about him. She can't place her fingers on it but everything appears rather different from when she remembers Asch. She doesn't have time to question it too much since his whole being here is a shock to her but it gave the fonist hope that the rest of her friends are also safe somewhere in this endless tower.
Somehow, she's not quite sure how to react other than be surprise by his sudden appearance. She remembered that Luke said Asch had died. If Asch is dead, then why was Asch here? Is this another fabrication of this foreign place?

musing about his existence as always, finding joy in little things, tormenting others, the works, the life of a counterpart was such a busy time. still, he had been told by diarmuid many times that he could become something, and by tear that he wasn't just a copy.... but could he really believe any of that?
he was walking down one of the paths as well, and he spotted her, his crimson eyes widening for a moment before he narrowed them once more, that sadistic smile rising to his features as he went over to her.]
Tear...! It's been a while.
[...he hadn't known that she had been taken away and come back once more, he had no idea if she even remembered him. oh what cruel fate...]
no subject
She was about to get her answer as she raised her guard more and lowered her hand to secret compartment. If anything were to happen, she'd take action immediately. That smiling face seemed rather unsettling as she was approached and called by that expression. ]
Who are you and why do you know my name?
[ She almost narrowed her eyes. Tear was overly cautious regarding those who knew her name. Was he an Oracle Soldier, an enemy? She never saw anyone like that in her brother's ranks and she certainly didn't recall ever meeting anyone dressed like that in Auldrant. ]

Outside of 13 on stairs
On his way downstairs to the cafeteria room. He had finished a long workout on the gym floor and was looking to fill his stomach. Bad food or not, he was hungry. Jonouchi huffed from exhaustion, how tiring. Maybe he shouldn't work out for so long, before he could fully compose himself on his way down the steps, his foot slipped, causing him to fall down the stair way. Not too far down, was a girl who was about to be tumbled into if she doesn't notice and step to the side.
"WH-WHOOOOA!!" Look out, Tear!!

Terra had called this one Deep Freeze when he had showed him to him and for all that it might take a while to charge, Riku can see why it can be handy to have this kind of spell mastered - especially against a force of weak, but numerous enemies (and he really can't say that he isn't used to facing that).
He keeps his eyes close as he clenches his grip a little tighter around his Keyblade and wills the magic to take the form of white-blue whispers swirling around him. He releases them with a shout and a wave of his weapon, pushing the magic outwards to freeze the grounds around him. ...Or attempt to freeze them anyways, considering that only the very patch he's standing on is showing any sign of his magic working.
Riku just frowns at the sight of the ice beneath his feet, before he shakes his head and re-centers himself. It's not like he isn't used to things taking more than one try for him to get them down properly.
"Gotta keep working on that, huh?"

She has long changed out of the clothes she woke up in but something just didn't seem right. Eventually, her thoughts are set aside as she catches the person that's causing all the noise. It seems like someone is practicing some sort of arte in this maze. Tear doesn't recognize the arte style but it looks like it the fourth fonon, Udine in use. Tear watches quietly for a moment, somewhat intrigued by the display of skill from someone that appears to be about her age.
Is he a fonist? She hasn't seen him before at all, but it seems like he's quite skilled. Maybe she can acquire some information regarding her situation right now.

When making one of his weekly trips he noticed the girl with a pile of books. Out of curiosity he had skimmed some of the titles printed on the spines. It was enough of a hint to tell him what she was doing here, and knowing that he walked over to her.
"You won't be able to find what you're looking for here."

"Do you perhaps know a location that would provide me with the information I require?" she mused giving him a brief smile. Tear was always polite no matter her situation. She was respectful and it was probably due to her military training.

When Tohko saw Tear going through a few books, she couldn't help but cry out to her, smiling. She knew that that the Tear she had met had vanished, but that either meant that the Tear she knew was brought back..or that this was a new Tear. Hopefully this was one that she knew.
"Ah, Tear! How are you doing? Are you alright?"
no subject
Unfortunately, for Tohko, this Tear had no recollection of her or the tower. In fact, she was rather weary of the tower and something felt rather ominous since she found herself here.
"My apologies, but I don't quite recall who you are," she replied in a soft tone, "but I have been informed that there was another 'me,' here. Were you acquaintances with her?" she mused giving the girl a gentle look.
