2nd Call - The Archangel's Nightmare
Characters: Lucifel and you
Setting: Various floors; August 14th and 15th
Format: Prose, brackets, whichever you prefer.
Summary: Lucifel dealing with his personal squad of shadow children.
Warnings: Angst, updates if anything changes
This week already had such a twisted and sick start. Actually, Lucifel thought that the whole month was horrible to begin with.
First there was this charred and partly ripped apart bible in his mailbox, one of the horrible gifts that most residents with one have gotten on that Monday. The meaning of it had been clear to him the moment he had seen it and he was far from amused. A metaphor for Him, Him being dead and his words unable to reach the Archangel.
However, the day shouldn't end with that. On the same day three shadow children had started to follow him around. At first he thought nothing of it, feeling like they even were... familiar in a way. Creepy, but familiar still. So he just let them follow him around for the time being, since it didn't seem like they would do any harm. It wasn't until the middle of the week, August 14th, that one of them began to speak to him.
"In the end you left me alone." There was a moment of shock running down his spine as he looked around. No one but the shadow children to be seen, but that voice sounded just like... "Enoch?" The child stepped forward and dropped in front of him. "I thought you would keep your promise to me." Came as a whimper while Lucifel stared at the black figure in horror. "What kind of support are you to leave me here to die?" He shook his head. "It wasn't my choice to come here..." The Shadow-Enoch got up to his feet again and let his head hang down. "But I guess like this you won't have to be scared of me taking your place..." This couldn't be real. This had to be another of Jason's sick games to break them.
It didn't end for Lucifel with that one child speaking to him and repeating his words like a malicious chanting.
On August 15th The original three were joined by two more shadow children, one of them decided to latch itself to Lucifel and hung over his shoulder. By now the remaining original shadow children had started to talk as well. Two of the original ones walked next to him, the Shadow-Enoch was on his left, the other child to his right.
It was the one to his right that spoke to him "Didn't you say that we would always be together since we were born?" I know I did Michael.
"I looked everywhere for you but even though I saw your face everywhere, you weren't here." He had no idea what he was talking about. But the usually not so easily fazed Lucifel slowly became more and more restless... and there was a reason why.
"Now you abandoned me like they have, Luci..." I haven't. I never would. This shadow child walked in front of him as it continued to speak.
"I had so high expectations of you... All for nothing." It shook its head as if it was greatly disappointed. I would never let You down.
"You had one job Luci. And you didn't even get that done." Lucifel swallowed. No. He had done what he had been told. And still does.
"I don't see how this doesn't make you a Fallen one as well. It was you who killed me, the Almighty." It turned to look at the archangel, like it wanted to intimidate him. "Stop it..." He didn't kill Him. He didn't kill God.
Without noticing the color of his collar turned into lighter shades of violet.

Though luckily enough for him, he has no shadows fallowing him around. If he did then he would seriously have to use his anima to burn a bitch to ashes.
14th!
However, today, he had had enough. He was simply exhausted and needed a break from the emotional harassment. So, using his powers he teleported away from them. It would be a temporary relief, as he was sure they would find him again soon, but relief was still relief, even if it just drained him even further. However, chaos didn't expect to teleport behind a very interesting-sensing person who was also having trouble with the shadows.
"I..do not mean to intrude, but I find that it sometimes helps if you try and block them from your mind. They will not stop speaking though, I'm afraid."
It's okay, it was my mistake to begin with, I forgot to mention there's the 15th as well.
It was no surprise that Lucifel hadn't noticed chaos presence first, as he kept looking at this miserable acting figure in front of him, this thing he couldn't touch or get away from.
"I'd prefer it to keep quiet, like it had from the start."
"Your selfishness is what made me become like this. Not the loss of everyone I ever loved, not Belial, it was you."
It's alright! I know! ^^
"..Even quiet, they could still harm you, I'd imagine. However, it would make it easier if they were silent."
After all, looking into their minds had produced semi-jarring images.
:3
"Even when quiet you say. I wonder how to get rid of them."
"You can't get rid of us like you have of Armaros. Then again you have already killed us."
x3
"Perhaps closing the elevator door on them quickly enough would give you some peace and quiet." As chaos spoke, his group of six shadow children wandered up to him, having finally found him. Inwardly, he sighed as Shadow Jr. spoke to him.
"Man, I always knew you were ambiguous, but lying is a new low for ya. Not that it doesn't suit you. You did do a lot of terrible things to us and everyone else in our universe."
no subject
"If not even teleporting is working then closing the door on them probably isn't helping much either. That's the impression I got."
no subject
"Probably not, but might give you some relief from them, at least for a little while. Pardon my asking, but can you teleport?"
If he could, chaos could stop worrying about whether this person could sense his powers. If he couldn't..he was in a bit of trouble.
no subject
"I can." But doing so had started to make him feel more tired. It was probably the influence of the shadow children as well.
no subject
"I see..it is a good skill to usually have here. Even if it can make one tired sometimes."
"Just like you, ya lazy bum. If you hadn't slept so much, we might have been able to get a few more things accomplished." "Indeed. The plot is much easier to move when the characters are not lazing about."
Inwardly, chaos sighed as Shadow Jr. and Wilhelm spoke up again, but, as usual, he ignored them. Speaking to them would only further hurt him and make this person curious as to what they were saying.

"Don't put yourself higher than you are. To think that I ever respected you..."
15th!
(Of course. Setsuna was always good at this. Didn't he want to be a soccer player when he grew up? And who did the children get it from but their father-)
He had run until he was almost out of breath, and that was when he bumped into Lucifel. Zett gave the archangel's shadow children a narrow look, as his own group of three shadows caught up to him.
Is this how you've replaced your king?
"Oh, fuck off, sir," he shot back at him, before turning back to Lucifel. "Ignoring what I just said - you really shouldn't listen to them at all."
no subject
"If it were so easy..." He had given up on ignoring them by now. The moment he heard God's voice he had lost the last bit of will to fight them back.
"So you get along with the demon child but disapprove of Armaros? You are a hypocrite." Shadow-Enoch let his head hang down to stress his words.

When have you ever known about sanity...
"And something being hard hasn't stopped us," Zett added.

Zett approaches, trying to make his way through the shadow children. "I'm sure you can manage that."
no subject
"And you? Can you manage it?"
"Now you even are concerned about him? You always thought so lowly of the Grigori and even the other Archangels, but it's okay for you to worry about that demon? Don't you have any shame, brother? You destroyed the world He created, killed your own flesh and blood..."
no subject
Zett looks back at his shadows for a moment before turning again to Lucifel.
"It's not a crime to live. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar."
no subject
"You did act like you have a free will when you joined that revolution Luci. It was that free will that doomed us all."
no subject
Zett sighs, listening to his shadows chatter worthless servant! traitor! never was my friend!
no subject
"Or bug themselves."
