Summary: In which Minato and Urotsuki make boxed lunches in the kitchen, and then eat them while watching worlds being destroyed. Nothing strange, just spending time together.
Warnings: Project floor’s depiction of world destruction. Will update as necessary.

[Between everything that happened, as well as his recent return from his world, Minato decided up follow up on a promise. After making arrangements with Urotsuki, he’s now in the kitchens and ready to start making boxed lunches with her.

Other than the basics, like rice and vegetables...]

What do you want in your lunch, Urotsuki-chan?

[Beside, this is a good thing to do. It helps him relax and he get to spend time with another person.]

[ Oh no, Minato. Better make sure she doesn't just shove them all in her mouth or something, since at the moment Urotsuki is hanging above the lunchboxes like a shark that just spotted some tasty fish.

.. Probably for the best to just get moving before there's no more lunch before you even reach the floor. ]

[Nope, not just yet, Urotsuki. After he's done, Minato close the lids on the lunchboxes and pick them up.]

Time to go to the floor.

[LUNCH UNDER THE HOLOGRAPHIC STARRY SKY OF WORLD DESTRUCTION...]

[ But her food.. :(

Fine, fine, she'll be an obedient girl and go to the floor instead without munching it all away first. But she does hold out her hand when he says it's time to go. ]

Let's hold hands. [ She'll probably insist even if he turns down the offer. ]

[And Minato have no reasons to decline it. It reminds him of spending time with Maiko back home...

Shifting the lunchboxes into one hand, he hold her hand with his other. Time to go to the elevator.]

[ It's your protag swag, Minato. Let's hope not too many people see them this way as they walk towards the elevator.. then again, Urotsuki acts like such a kid that most people probably wouldn't think anything of it.

Once the elevator is in view, she lets go of his hand to quickly jog a few steps ahead until she's right in front of it, the eagerness returning. She just wants to hurry up and go there already!! ]

[Aw yeaaaaah. But then again, Minato always approach things from a platonic point of view.

After he catches up, he reach out to press the button.]

Just a little longer.

[Who knows how high the elevator is right now.]

... It's not going fast enough.

[ In typical five year old fashion (despite Urotsuki physically looking 15 and actually being that old too) she starts pressing the button more.

Over and over and over and over.

Urotsuki, that's not how you make the elevator go faster.. ]

...Just once is enough. If you keep on pressing it like that, you might break it by accident.

[Can they even break? He rather not risk it.]

[ Clearly Urotsuki caused the elevator explosions a few months back by doing this.. ]

But it's a button. Can buttons even break? [ She's genuinely asking him though like she'll 100% for sure believe what he tells her as the answer. Minato The Wise. ]

[Every time Urotsuki wanders off and fiddle with something, mod event happened.]

If it's not the actual button, the part it's connected to can break.

[Like cables. Or plastic linings or something. the mun doesn't have his Academics ok sob]

[ When he says that, she quickly pulls her hand back like she's been touching fire all this time. ]

Should I apologize to the button..?

If you want to. But I think they might appreciate it.

[Ding. The elevator is here and the doors open.]

[ IMMEDIATELY DASHING IN. No, seriously, if she was any faster she would have had to squish herself inbetween the doors to get in.. and once she does get in, she's waving at him as if she's telling him to get in already. ]

I'll apologize to it next time. We have to hurry now or the lunch will go bad. [ That doesn't happen that quickly.. ]

Our lunch will last for a while, so don't worry.

[He's coming, he's coming. Minato steps inside the elevator and press the button. The door closes and they're going up...]

I hope he won't still be mad then. It really, really sucks when you say goodbye to people while they're mad at you or you're mad at them. Since if they die before you see them again, you'll never have made up. [ Suddenly this is really deep out of nowhere.. ]

[What a sudden turn of the conversation. And yet, Minato understand the sentiment behind it.]

That's why we try to make it up to them as soon as possible. Delaying it would make it worse in the long run.

Then maybe we'll have to hurry eating lunch.. ah, but that might spoil lunch.

[ Her life is so difficult.. ]

[What, eating lunch quickly no.]

Let's find that good balance between eating lunch so it won't spoil and returning soon enough to apologise.

I'm counting on you.

[ She's saying it pretty solemnly.. this is a very serious and important matter, Minato. If she won't apologize to the button in time, it might just ruin her life somehow. ]

[Minato nods, acknowledging her words, before turning his attention back to to the door.

Waiting...here they are! Now to walk down to their floor of destination.]

[ "Walk"? If you mean "run wildly", yes. Urotsuki is normally fairly patient in her exploring, but right now she has too much on her mind to slowly walk. There's the lunch they need to eat before it goes bad and she needs to apologize to the button before one of them dies and it'll be ruined forever.

So Urotsuki is just running down the stairs as fast as she can. Occasionally it even seems like she's going to trip over her own feet and just fall all the way down, honestly, but she manages to somehow keep her balance. ]

[Whoa, whoa, not so fast. Minato readjust his hold on their lunchboxes and quickly follow after Urotsuki. He doesn't want to lose sight of her too quickly.

You know, in case of trouble along the way.]

Urotsuki-chan, slow down!

[chainsawn]

Huh? But we need to hurry up. There's not much time.

[ She looks backwards at him over her shoulder as she says it, but since she isn't paying attention to where she's going because of it, she trips over the stairs.

Luckily right as she's falling she changes in mid-air until she's just a tiny Urotsuki fairy floating in the air. Hope you didn't get a heart attack, Minato. ]

But if we rush, it'll be easier to start tripping over...

[Like what Urotsuki did just now.

Minato almost drop their lunches in surprise, his instincts yelling at him to catch her. He's about to run when she changed.

...A mini fairy Urotsuki. Cute]

Uh-huh.

[ Just slowly saying that as she's floating there, her voice pitched a lot higher thanks to her form change.. she floats towards Minato, flying around his head a few times. ]
