1st Pulse~ The Arrival.
Characters: Oerba Yun Fang and you.
Setting: Room 1-01, and in the hallway.
Format: Action Brackets.
Summary: Fang awakens in her room for the first time, and realizes she is not where she should be.
Warnings: Some language.
[The funny thing about dreams is that they feel like the last forever. Sometimes, you can never tell which is the dream, and which is reality, and the longer the dream goes, the more you feel like your waking world is a lie. Crystal sleep always felt like that to Fang. Waking up to find that she's not longer in a crystal, however, didn't exactly feel like reality either.
The headache is horrible, and the grogginess isn't a theme park either, and so with a sore body and mind, Oerba Yun Fang sits up to find her vision blurry. She takes a few deep breaths, trying to steady herself as she stands, her vision starting to swim back into focus as she takes in the room. Once she takes in the details of her surroundings, her eyes stop on a piece of paper on the bed she woke up next to, and at her feet, a trunk.
Weighing her options, she vouches to open the trunk first, finding familiar things such as her lance, sari, her satchel, hunting knife, and her jewelry. Looking down, she finds that she's naked. This isn't quite the concern to her though. What was, was the fact that she was in an unknown room, and it doesn't look like she's the only one who's been here.]
Looks like one hell of a bachelor pad.
[She whistles low before taking notice of the white outfit on the bed beside the paper. She grimaces at the thing before taking out her clothes, putting them back on in kind, sighing as she started to feel like herself again. She then feels around her neck, tugging some at the collar that sat there. This was worse than a l'Cie brand. At least with brands, you could hide them. Yet another claim from an unknown source, and everyone could see it this time. She would have to find a way to get this thing off, but there are more important things right now. Like that note. Picking it up, she begins to read.]
Your world has been destroyed. I saved you. Let's all be happy here.
[She scoffs, rolling her eyes before crumpling the paper. Looking around once more, she rubs the back of her neck, then sighs in frustration.]
Cute little game. Now where's the exit?
[It's been 1000 years since she's been awake; she needs to know what's going on. Then she realizes that she's been missing one valuable thing she never went without. Where was that cheery little lilt in the background? The pigtails? Her eyes widen as she turns around quickly.]
VANILLE?!
[The girl is no where in sight, and this begins to make the panic rise. She turns a few more times, trying to find a door, a window, anything. She then sees her designated object, making a quick run for it as she flings it open and finds herself in a hallway. She doesn't even care if her voice echos.]
VANILLE?! Come on, Van, talk to me. VANILLE!
[It was almost as if she wanted to get dizzy by all the turns she takes, her hair whipping into her face as she searches.]
Shit... [It was then that she notices a computer like terminal in the hall. Furrowing her brows, she makes the steps it takes to get there and hunches over it, grumbling about technology and how it's ridiculous, but she figures this thing has information. Don't all computers?]
Come on Lady Luck. Give me something I can work with.

Lost someone?
no subject
YES!
[As if realizing what she was doing, she toned down her voice, knowing full well this guy couldn't have been responsible...maybe.]
Sorry...I just can't find my partner. Short girl, pigtails, kind of the same style as me, quirky to the point of being mistaken for a child. Goes by Vanille, you seen her?
no subject
Not responsible! Got a collar on just like you.]
Ah... Can't say it rings any bells, haven't seen any girls wearing pigtails. [The one close to Fang's description had a hairstyle more like Kanda's.] Name isn't familiar either, then again I'm pretty sure I haven't met everyone there is here yet. 's a big place.
no subject
Etro, why didn't we just listen to you, Light? Why didn't we just stand together instead of us going off and trying to be heroes...
no subject
Oops. Well, this was always Lavi's one downfall. He always made the pretty girls cry. He warily takes a few steps closer - he's noticed her warrior-toned body, she could hurt him easily - and hesitantly puts a hand on her shoulder.
Soothingly:] Hey, hey... Buck up, yeah? She could be here. So could your other friends from home. I should know, I somehow wound up with two so far.
[The heroes comment... Well, it seems wisest to let that go for now. God, did he know how it felt, watching Allen go off to do that role. Knowing that his friend probably wouldn't come back to them alive.]
no subject
Maybe... [Who would be the next she would look for? Of course. The one who always has a plan. The one who they considered leader.]
Do you happen to know a Lightning?

Hallway
[...Which it seems this person has done as well. The cat tails her around the corner at a substantial distance and sees her fumbling with the terminal. It all hits oddly close to home for him; he can't just stand back and let her frustrations boil over like this. He can help, now.]
[Or, at least attempt to.]
[Assuming Fang didn't see the tabby feline following her prior to, she'll probably catch sight of the nervously blushing pudgy blonde man cautiously approaching her instead.]
...C-Could you...use s-s-some help?
Re: Hallway
I just want to know where Vanille is, alright? I can't keep losing her every time I wake up from crystal sleep. It isn't a pattern I want to make a habit of. Please, if you know where she is, or anyone that knows, please tell me.
no subject
--O-Oh! A-Are--Are y-you--?
[Her foot, he means. Rick's given the terminals a good kick before, too, he feels her pain.]
[Of course, he can't let that question go unanswered. The flustered blonde man gathers his nerves, fights through the stammering: ]
...I-I...d-don't know...th--the n-name i-isn't...f-familiar. I'm s-sorry.
no subject
If only I knew where to start. Tracking skills aside, the girl is damned near impossible to catch up to.
no subject
W-Well...i-if she is h-here...there's o-only so many p-places she can g-go, at l-least. I-I'll be s-sure to k-keep an e-eye out.
[It's a minor consolation, but it's the best Rick can come up with right now. He thinks about the situation a little more thoroughly and adds: ]
...W-Wait, you...y-you just g-got here, d-didn't you?

Yeah... there was a new name there. Looks like this might very well be a new roommate.
She steps forward a little cautiously. It'd been a long time ago, but she knew how jarring arrival could be. Especially if you'd been with friends before getting to the Tower.]
Um... excuse me. You just got here, right?
no subject
no subject
Still, she offers an awkward sort of half-smile.]
I'm Xion. I'm in Room 1-01, too.
[She waves a hand at the door Fang just came out of.]
I've been here a while, so... if I can do anything to help, let me know. I know this place is really confusing when you first get here.
no subject
Fang. Listen, do you know the name Vanille at all? Maybe you know someone who would? [What if someone else she knew was here? Maybe...]
Snow? Hope? Lightning? Sahz? Anything. Does anything jar your memory? I just need to know where my sister is, please.
Hallway
But it couldn't be, could it?
Shaking her head, she makes for the door. No, they couldn't be. She didn't want them to be here after one of the "more relaxed" months she seemed to have the luxury of being brought in. She could handle whatever came her way; she had to for Serah.
It's at the threshhold when she hears it again. A familiar voice calling out a familiar name. No, it couldn't be. It couldn't be, and yet it was. That was Fang's voice.
...This wasn't something she could run from.]
Fang?
[She doubts that her comrade expects to see her like this, in plated armor and all, but she could care less. Not when there could be an aggravated and (very righteously) pissed Fang in a matter of moments.]
Re: Hallway
...L--
[Her feet move before her mind or words, and she's even closer now.]
Light! You're here. YOU'RE here?! You're here! Where the bloody hellfire are www---oooohhhaaaat are you wearing?
[Her eyes had managed to catch up with her as she roamed down, catching the armor.]
no subject
Most just call it the "Tower", though someone was kind enough to inform me that it's designation is "Animus".
[As if that weren't ironic enough, with who branded most of them as l'Cie... However, this one was going to be unpleasant to explain.]
...and it's another "gift" from Etro.
[As if the eidolons weren't enough. At least it came with a decent gunblade instead of a timer-like brand.]
[1/2]
Not a bad gift, I'd say.
[2/2]
Lightning, what's going on? Is everything really gone? Where's Vanille?

Hi ... Is something wrong..?

I um...d- did you need to use this?

[ She folds her hands behind her like she's perfectly content with waiting here for longer than she already has. Apparently this young girl has all time in the world.. ]
