Summary: Zett spends the day in his demonic (

belzebul) form. He practices flying, hangs around the hedge maze, sings an irreverent song in the church, and at night goes monster hunting.
Warnings: Violence towards monsters or people possible. Irreverence towards churches.

[Tall floors mean flying practice, and Zett takes advantage of the full height of the floor, flying in complicated arcs and loops in a way that would probably be very impressive if you could ignore the hanging corpses above him.

When he feels like he's done enough, he reclines against a wall for a bit.]

[Since Zett can just fly over the hedge maze, he enjoys this floor and its lovely plants. He can be found stopping to smell the roses, or if someone seems to be having trouble with the maze itself-]

[Demons in his world aren't actually hurt by churches, so he's just going to stretch out on one of the pews.

He won't actively bother anybody praying, but if it doesn't look like anyone is...]

Old Noah was mucking the Ark out one day when he heard a great shriek from the neighboring stall, said he to poor Ham who was hugging his loins, "Ah, the hedgehog, my boy, can't be buggered at all"~

[While it is strange for monsters to fight each other, you'd be forgiven for believing the giant fly-person shooting lightning to be another monster. If you're going hunting, too, or he's distracted you might even get an attack in before he greets you with a] Hey!

[Whether you assume he's a monster or not, he's certainly a sight. Most common enemies don't stand much of a chance.]

[While it was amazing that they were that old, Yotusba was a little annoyed that Zett's age was a secret.]

Why is it secret?! I promise I won't tell anyone, Zett! You can tell me! And they're super old..but Enoch doesn't look that old! How come?! Do you know why, Zett?!

If somebody looked hundreds of years old, what would they look like?

[Yeah, he's gonna just keep deflecting the question because he doesn't know what answer to give her.]

[Thankfully, it wasn't hard to deflect Yotsuba sometimes.]

Um..they would have a lot of folds and their hair would be white, and they would be super slow! But Enoch's not like that at all! He's super fast and strong and he can hop off and go boing!~ And he doesn't have any folds, and his hair's yellow! Are you like Enoch, Zett?!

I'm a lot like Uncle Enoch, though it depends what you mean by 'go boing'.

That's what Yotsuba means! He can go..boing, boing!~

[As she chirped, she quickly moved her hand to show Zett the hopping that would accompany that sound effect.]

No way. Enoch's stuck like that.

Oh..that's okay though! 'Cause you can fly, and Enoch can't, and he can hop off and you can't! So it's fair! It's fine!

Yeah, Uncle Enoch's at least as cool as me.

I know! You and Enoch are super cool!~ And so's Luci and Rick and Dia and a whoole bunch of other people! There are a lot of cool people here!~

There are~ But our family is the coolest.

I don't think I've met Rabbit yet.

Oh..he went back home a looong time ago..but he was super awesome, Zett! He was a singing Robot, and he was super nice and strong and smart, and his brother was really nice and he liked his family and promised to protect me..he was a really good robot!

[And thinking about where he was now wiped the smile off Yotsuba's face.]

I hope he'll be okay..

He will be. We'll fix things.

[If Zett believed in anything, it was definitely making Yotsuba feel better.]

I know! But..are you working with the grown-ups too, Zett?! Yotsuba's a support, but they don't want me to fight with them!

[Zett sighs. This topic he doesn't think will be easy.]

Do you know how to fight?

Yeah! Enoch taught me how to use a sling, so I can defend myself!

Even if you know how to fight, some people are just stronger than others. You can defend yourself in an emergency, but a lot of things will just shrug off a stone from a sling.

[And Yotsuba knew about things that wouldn't get injured by a sling, as the masked monster that had managed to kill her wasn't really hurt by them. So, she frowned a little and nodded.]

Yotsuba knows..but I don't know how to use anything else. Do you know, Zett? If you teach me, then I'll be able to beat more bad people!

I mostly use magic, and I don't know how to teach that.

Oh..do you know anyone that does then?! Luci can do a whole bunch of tricks, and so can you, but I'm not an Angel or a Demon, so I can't! But I can learn magic!

I don't think I know any magic teachers, just people born with it.

[Like April, who's a mutant and can do cool electricity things.]

So you can't be taught magic? Just be born with it?

[Sadly, Yotsuba had not met April and wouldn't really know about that.]

It might be possible, but I don't know who could teach you any.

Oh..maybe we could fly around and look for someone then, even if you do turn back to normal!
