Summary: Richtofen and his allies wait for a glamour glitch and break into a service elevator.

[It's the big day. Arrive, lug an intestine rope (and do it as secretly as you can), make new friends. Perhaps try to convince yourself that this is absolutely the best plan ever and nothing could possibly go wrong.]

[Rei had dragged along several monster corpses. Just in case they were needed as part of a last minute thing.]

So, when are we gonna get to do this?

[Richtofen gives the corpses an approving once-over, then nods at Rei in greeting.]

All in due time, my dear. The elevator is visible when the glamour goes down, so we shall have to wait, but I am certain it won't take long.

[He's not certain at all, actually, but he likes to pretend he is. He does a good job of it.]

[Gamzee looked like some sort of macabre scarf enthusiast. He had been slaughtering monsters in his free time even before they'd decided they needed organs. He had a slew of large and small intestines wrapped around his neck, and what he couldn't fit there he carried in a large pile in his arms. What a fashion statement.]

[He was dripping with blood and guts and juice of all colors, leaving a trail behind him as he arrived to meet with the others. So much for subtlety.]

Us bitches got some motherfuckin' time all, like, to bust out some wicked fuckin' romps of double dutch?

[Oh, god. He knew he should have never trusted Gamzee to be subtle about anything. Richtofen groaned low in his throat and couldn't resist giving a roll of his eyes.]

Nein, we have no time for such silliness. Now put those down and get to work tying them together. [Mumblegrumble.] Imbecile...

[terreifying]

Sure, if you can tie and untie knots fast enough to get this stuff down the elevator shaft.

[Someone is excited. He keeps pacing back and forth impatiently.]

I've been wanting to do this since the first time I saw the thing. Finally!

[Richtofen has his eye on Xehanort. He never posts on the network himself any more, but after seeing that post with Jason, his curiosity is piqued. The thought of someone he's allied with having a private conversation with the admin is equal parts exciting and maddening.

He'll have to keep a close watch on this one once they get down there.]

I know exactly how you feel.

[His eyes flick back and forth as he trails Xehanort's pacing. Back and forth. Back and forth. How positively dizzying.]

This has been a long time coming, believe me.

[Suzaku is quite confused, he had woken back in the tower after the two and a half weeks of being in his dead world and Richtofen was the first person he had ran into.

So now he was here in this room with a monster intestine in his arms looking utterly confused and slightly disgusted. But he trusted Richtofen, he said he had a plan, hopefully it would work.] These ones are tied... where do you want them?

[doctor_dismemberment]

[It's so good seeing Suzaku back. He's become so familiar with Suzaku's workstyle that having him on board for this mission is a comfort. Also, that look on his face tickles Richtofen deep down.]

Just pile them up in the middle of the room. [He urges Suzaku on with a wave of his hands. A giddy grin is stretched over his face.] Well done, we are on the right track!

[terreifying]

Heeey~

[Rei waves at Suzaku.]

So where were you the last few days?

[It's probably not that big of a secret that Ocelot is impatient with Ganondorf. She doesn't trust the man at all. One thing is for certain, she trusts the fact that if it comes to a betrayal, she needs more people on her side.

For that reason, helping Richtofen seems reasonable enough.

Still, she can't help but feel naked without her gun on her.]

[Both of Richtofen's guns are stashed away, so he feels the same. His knife is still attached to his hip, and his pockets are stuffed full of emergency medical supplies, but he doubts any of that will remain once they get inside of the elevator shaft. It's worth a shot, anyway.

He nods when Ocelot enters the room.]

Ah, welcome. I am glad you showed up.

[His eyes linger on her for a little bit. He doesn't think she's faking her distrust of Ganondorf, but Richtofen's never been a very trusting person himself. He's watching closely for any sign that she might be faking her intentions.]

[monstrueux]

[Gilles is still a cat, so he is much tinier and less verbal than usual, strutting about and purring, winding his way between the legs of those assembled. He's excited to go on a mission. Surely Jeanne will be proud of him.

He has revealed the location of his dead monster caches (guarded by his own monsters), so he helped extra by providing more intestines.]

[Oh, joy. Gilles is still a cat. At least he has enough human awareness left to keep him from being completely useless, though, for which Richtofen is grateful. He looks down at the cat as he passes through his legs.]

You. Someone will probably have to carry you down, ja?

[When Reno casually shows up with Elena in tow, he definitely hadn't asked Richtofen about it first. At least he brought a couple of carcasses along with him, and dressed in his proper mission attire, too- his Raven uniform because obviously those belts and things could come in handy.]

Yo, when do we get a move on? Gettin' bored here.

BRIEFING

[It's taken a lot of hard work, sneaking around, and monster fighting, but everything is about to fall into place. Richtofen stands before his team once they've all finally assembled, hands behind his back. Between him and the tiny crowd sits a big, disgusting coil of braided intestines and muscle sinew. The biggest intestine seems to be taken from a giant monster, absurdly large, one end secured around one of the beds in the room. It's a setting that absolutely screams "Orange Team."

Predictably unperturbed by the sight, Richtofen flashes his team a smile.]

...Well. It looks like we are all settled in, ja? Everyone has gotten acquainted? [A glance toward the newcomers. There's a particular tenseness to his smile when he sets eyes on Elena.] Allow me to run through the plan one more time. Listen closely und carefully.

The glamour has been glitching quite a lot today. The next time it goes out, we should be able to see the elevator. That is when we will pry it open - you must use the things we have taken from the monsters. Our tools will not work.

Once it is open, two of you will hold it like that, und the rest of us will toss the rope into the shaft. I am not certain how much it will hold, but I do expect it to be quite slippery, so, ah... be prepared to think fast in the event that you should slide down.

Each person will wait a few moments before starting to descend, to lessen the strain on any individual area of the rope. We will move quickly und silently. If we reach the bottom alive, we will stop und regroup, und if we do not... [He shrugs.] We tried. Our experience will serve as a jumping-off point for future excursions. Remember, it is very important that we learn what is down there, in the name of science.

[This guy is hell-bent on reaching the bottom.]

...Now. Are there any questions?

[hystericull]

[Gamzee is working to braid the extra intestines he brought with him today on to the massive pile in the middle. A little extra strength and length couldn't hurt, right? His hands were greasy and filthy, and they slipped around while he was trying to work his fingers. He kept his ears open to listen to what Richtofen had to say.]

[Truthfully, he actually had some respect for the man's tenacity. It certainly was motivating him to stop being such a worthless lump of self-loathing and apathy. Like hell he would admit to any of that, though. He simply kept braiding, weaving his lithe little fingers between each other to attach the rest of the intestines.]

[Outwardly, he made it as apparent as possible that he wasn't paying attention to Richtofen in the slightest, even though it was quite the opposite. His expression was that of determination, tongue poking through his fangs a bit as he worked. When Richtofen asked if there were questions, he continued working as if the doctor hadn't been speaking at all.]

[Suzaku raised his hand] Do we have a specific goal at all, or is it just observation for now? [Not that he doubts you Richtofen... but he tends to like to have clear mission objectives before sliding down intestine ropes.]

None at all. This is going to be immensely satisfying.

Providin' we get down there... what's our plan? We got any maps or anyone on the team that's been down there before? Any idea what we're gonna be looking for? Should we make a grab for stuff that looks useful, just in case?

[Reno's got some ideas of his own of what they should look for, some of it being Dax's files or anything he left down there that might help. The guy had planned a coup, anything like that would be invaluable.]

[monstrueux]

[Gilles is busy fortifying the intestine rope with his powers. Dead bodies: one of the few things his powers are useful with. He's not sure if it's going to help, as he's confused about what works and what doesn't, but at least he's making an effort, his paws on the soft tissue.

He looks over when Richtofen speaks and meows. It might be a question, it's hard to say...]

[terreifying]

[Rei raises her hand.]

...Is flash photography allowed?

[There's a certain dryness to her tone. She's actually joking about this thing.]

INFILTRATION

[The glamour has glitched; the elevator is in view. It's time for this ragtag group of wireframe and film to get moving. Richtofen gives a hand signal and barks out an order.]

That's it. Now!

[Godspeed, Orange Team. Godspeed.]

[Right. Suzaku took one of the real weapons and stepped up to the door to begin to try and pry it open. Working as quickly as he could since they had no idea how long they would have before the glamour turned on again.]
