Our illusory weapons and powers, and such things. It's about all any of us have to fight with. Tricks and traps. Or hide, if fighting doesn't work.

That does not sound like much.

[It frustrates her, to know she has to remain so powerless. Even when she has to protect Claudia.]

..No. I suppose it isn't. If you have other ways yourself, or those to protect, it might be a good idea to start taking precautions now, just in case.

There is a possibility of regaining one's powers. I am going to look into that. Perhaps then there will be a way to combat this void.

If you find a way, let's trade what information we have. If I had my true power back, nothing that lay behind this void would be a danger to anyone.

As soon as I regain my power, I will tell you how it happened. Someone once told me that it had something to do with the collar fluid.

If they find a way to remove them without killing the person, that I very much want to know!

Come closer, and you'll hear it. I haven't encountered things that aren't alive that sound this way. Also, it ate my finger.

The best way to soothe ravenous things is to make them less ravenous. Unfortunately I can only guess at what it might eat.

[Thus Lorelei has a whole lot of things to try. Though why rocks are on the list, only he knows.]

Or they. There might be more than one and they're taking turns. ..Kind of grim to think about. Perhaps preparations are a good idea after all.

Perhaps someone should fence off this area. So nobody tries to feed themselves into this thing.

Ahh... no. I've not actually seen a fence since arriving, if I'm completely honest! I could in theory make one but it would take a lot of doing. By then it might already be through. Maybe a magic fence..

I'm afraid I haven't the faintest idea, I don't work with magic, just physics. Do you know any magic users?

It seems then, for you and I, that there isn't much to be done here at all. We just don't have the capability between us.

He provides the means with which I solve my problems. That is enough.

Really? Does God show that love in very different ways to other people? I have a friend who has said God is a cruel and merciless tormenter ... and I guess sometimes love can hurt but ...

God (Glorified and Exalted be He) sends tests to all of his children, but he also sends solutions, provided we can look for them and find them. He does this all so we may grow.
