I don't know that I can agree with that. Sure, with creative works like art and singing there are mechanics and basics you can learn through practice. However, if you don't have talent the things you create--pictures or song--will not have any life or soul. That is where the real talent comes in.

[And he should know. Diarmuid was taught by those with a very great amount of skill how to sing, but he has come to believe he has no talent in it. He can sing beautifully, but the songs are all lacking life to his ears. Whether this is true or not, is another topic, though...]

We'll have to disagree. 'Talent' exists, but it can be made up for with dedication.
