Characters: Lord Grumpypants, Diarmuid, Diarmuid's idiot brothers, the extended family, and open to their CR and anyone that just wants to drop by.
Setting: Floor 81
Format: Party style, whichever format you prefer
Summary: ~~When two busybodies start plotting, all hell breaks loose.~~ "Waver's Anniversary" (or more informally known as Waver and Diarmuid's wedding party.) It's just a party. Nothing to see here. That cake is white just by... accident... and decorated to match the rings... yeeeeeeep... complete accident.
Warnings: Someone may decide to drown a couple people... who knows.

[In case someone is observant enough to notice, Waver and Diarmuid have been wearing matching rings... and under the disguise of a convenient excuse, that being Waver's one year anniversary in the Tower, Lancer and Reno have thrown a party to celebrate.

Keeping the relationship a perfect secret, of course. It's just a party. Good times, shooting the breeze, card games. Unfortunately, there's no booze. The lounge has been set up with a buffet with food from the Floor Sixty Kitchen, and there's a cake.

The cake happens to be white, and decorated. And that celtic knot decoration may just be matching the rings. Complete accident, of course.]

[Yeah yeah, Reno's just laughing now.]

[He has to think hard about it. He doesn't want the teasing to go overboard and get Reno angry or sad instead.]

...What about your aim when it comes to boars?

[Nope, just giving him an eyeroll.]

I hit it in the face twice an' I got Diarmuid's spear in its side and didn't lose it.

[Shrug. He's not going to feel bad.] You're an Servant, dork. How the hell can I compete with that?

I didn't even have my powers on that floor, though. You could've competed.

[Okay, that one's got him.]

...Boar hunting experience? Hey, it was my first time. Usually I stay far away from those things.

...Okay, I do have that advantage. But, you know, it was only Diarmuid's third time hunting boar. Look how well he did.

Hey, he was blinkin' in and out. He got there after you and me got it nice and fixed.

...Well, yeah. But have you seen him hunt boar before? The last time he tried to fight one, we both ended up dead.

Cu... he's got good reason to be afraid of boars.

[His face falls.]

I know. He told me all about what happened.

Yeah? All he said to me was a hunting accident. [And Reno hadn't pressed because when Diarmuid, with his big mouth, got that short and to the point...] I kinda figured it out when I saw his face back there.

It was an arranged hunting accident. Let's just say his former lord was a jealous bastard.

[Reno lets out a low whistle.] That fills in a buncha blanks.

[Especially when they were having that fight after the bears... it really took Reno by surprise when he said he would think about it.]

But it doesn't matter, he's here now, huh? Got to keep him out of trouble.

Yeah, he's here and he finally has a Master worthy of him. Waver might be boring, but he's good at keeping Diarmuid out of trouble, at least.

[He lets out a half frustrated, half appreciative sigh.]

Diarmuid is too nice, though. He wouldn't even hold a grudge over that boar hunt.

[Reno raises an eyebrow, folding his arms.]

So that's why he stopped when I said he might've sworn himself to the wrong people. I think I get it.

Pretty much, yeah. Or he could have been talking about his second Master. The one who summoned him into this age. That man was quite a piece of work too.

Y'mean Kayneth? Dee's been pretty quiet on some of those bits... maybe I'm not remembering.

[Reno blew a flyaway hair out of his face.]

From what I've heard 'bout all these 'Masters' and crap, got to thinking I worked for a guy like that, once. That's how the Turks split up... most of 'em decided to go live their own lives. Me, and Rude, and Tseng, we stayed. So I told Dee sometimes the guys you work for turn out to be the wrong ones.

[Rubbing his chin now... his jaw still hurt from time to time since that conversation.]

That was after he almost cracked my jaw apart.

Yeah, Kayneth. He wasn't even nice enough to arrange an accident. It was just flat out betrayal.

[A pause.]

...Man, what did you do to warrant that?

What, my jaw?

[A slight embarrassed flush crosses his face.]

...Bears. Said some things I shouldn't have.

Ah, then I suppose I shouldn't ask anymore. But still, bears?

Yeah this is gonna sound like the cheesiest hokey shit ever, but a bear stole my heart.

[Deadpan. Completely. Deadpan.]
