For Thine Is; The City
Characters: any characters who were warped outside
Setting: outside
Format: any
Summary: The outcast residents arrive in the city that surrounds the Tower.
Warnings: psychological horror
The city appears on the horizon long before they reach it, of course--and it stretches and stretches and stretches, swallowing up the landscape until it's all that can be seen before them. And on a hill in the center lay the Tower, as if it were a monolith to be worshiped by an awestruck populace. But if that's the case, then the god has been abandoned: there is no one left alive to pay tribute.
But if that's the case, maybe it's the god who abandoned them first.
The city is dead, and its population has fallen like ash on the streets and buildings. The bodies are familiar ones to those who have seen their home worlds after being taken from it: corpses that do not decompose, with their insides pulled out through their mouths.
The city is sorted into ringed districts--while time is not on your side, you have to pass through each district anyway, so there's nothing saying you can't do a little exploring as long as you don't dawdle too long...

No. I'm here to make sure he doesn't hurt his hand on that hard head of yours.
[But, she is protecting him; he knows it, she knows it, now to see if the indignant man he's called "Frill" knows it.
To that end, her grip stays strong as she turns back to the man.]
So, are you ready to calm down and say what's going on?

It doesn't look like Zelos was planning to attack the prosecutor (even though he shouldn't have touched the man like that). And Edgeworth would rather avoid violence, so...
He turns to Sheena.] Before I do, could you please let go of my hand, Miss?

[But, the three of them probably should expedite things, since the longer they're out here the more likely the chance they'll be attacked.]
Come on, Sheena, let the nice man's hand go.

And Zelos was one of those people.
Ironically, so was the man, whose hand she had caught, which would explain why she was giving him a chance to explain instead of immediately sending him hurtling through the air.
Glancing from one man to the other to gauge the situation, she released Edgeworth's hand and reflexively took up a familiar battle position near Zelos. Scanning both the area and the living room--which raised her suspicions--she addressed both men.]
Okay. And sorry about that; I just didn't want any trouble. [She wagged her finger between them.] So, since you two seem to know each other, either one of you want to tell me what's going on?

Ignoring Zelos for a second, Edgeworth gives Sheena a polite bow.]
It's quite all right, Ms. Sheena. I take no offense. I can see you thought I was going to....[He glances at Zelos. He wasn't going to kill you but HE IS STILL MAD AT YOU FOR JUMPING AT YOU LIKE THAT.
After giving a momentary glare at Zelos (if any person can pull off a glare while in wireframe form, Edgeworth can), the prosecutor turns back to Sheena.]
Are you talking about how I know your friend or about the fact we have been whisked outside the tower?
