Setting: The hidden floor
Format: Starting action but whatever everyone wants is fine!
Summary: After two and a half years in the Tower, England is finally calling for a meeting of the world. Or what little there is left of it.
Warnings: Idiocy. So much idiocy.

[Part of England has a feeling he's going to regret this. World meetings have always been a bit of a chore, but maybe with fewer participants it won't be so bad. Even if most of those participants aren't adults, or even proper nations.

All right, so multiple parts of England have the feeling he's going to regret this. But with the return of a few nations to the Tower and the appearance of some new ones, they're all going to need to be on the same page, especially given that the countdown on the terminals is rapidly approaching zero and they're going to need all the help they can get in restoring the worlds before that happens.]

[As the others arrive, England is as ill-tempered as ever, standing in the centre of the mostly-empty floor and regarding them all with considerable scrutiny. He has good reason to believe that most of them are going to misbehave.]

Pick somewhere to sit and stick to it.

I will not be tolerating foolishness today, you hear?

[As soon as everyone is assembled, England clears his throat.]

I now call this world meeting to order.

Everyone — one at a time — state your name and the region you represent. [Normally, they don't have to introduce themselves at world meetings. But given that some of the nations here are from time periods where they won't recognise anyone, England thinks it's a necessary step.] We'll be proceeding around the room to my right.

My name is England and I represent the constituent country of England, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

[Now that everyone is sufficiently confused by the fact that they had to introduce themselves...]

All right, now listen— and kindly refrain from calling me mental until after everyone has had a chance to speak. [He knows it's coming, ok.]

In the same fashion as before, proceeding to the right, I want you now to state what year it was at home before you were brought here.

When I arrived, it was 2011.

[England's admittedly not entirely prepared for this one. Saying it was 2011 when he got here was fine without context, but...

He raises his voice to be heard after some time, so he can move the discussion along. This is going to be a pattern.] Now, you all will say how long it is you've been in the Tower. If you've gone home at any time, please inform the group of how long you spent there, as well.

[This time, he hesitates a bit before answering for himself. But, dutifully, he goes first again.]

...I've been here for just over two and a half years.

[He has a headache already. He has never so missed Germany's presence as he does right now.

But introductions were the easy part. Now, he has to brief the relatively new nations on the situation.]

I'm sure some of you are wondering what the bloody hell is going on here anyway.

Well, you've been brought to Tower Designation Animus; the "Tower of Animus" for short. The administrators claim to have saved you, but I'm certain that most of us know it's a load of tripe by now.

There's rather a lot to cover, so I'd appreciate it if you'd all keep discussion to the appropriate places, when prompted. [He means don't interrupt him.]

There are three people in charge, and they live in the lower areas of the Tower, where we are not normally allowed access.

There's Zo, the little boy who did the legwork of bringing you here and the only tolerable one of the three. He's perhaps not the most emotionally stable child, but he's the only one left who really wants to help.

There's Riki, a lying clod who's about as helpful to the Tower residents as a good kick in the teeth. Don't know much about him save for the fact that he does Tower maintenance and he's a conniving tosser.

And then there's Ruana— a little girl and the boss of all of them, who has a bit of an unfortunate tendency to consume her compatriots when they outlive their usefulness.

There used to be two others — Dax and Jason. They're dead now, but you might hear people talk about them sometimes. Dax was on our side, but Jason deserved what he got.

[Then, England pauses, and indicates a certain retrieval unit at the opposite end of the room.]

Her name is Aria. She's here to assist us; you may speak to her at a later date if you find the need to. For now, just know that she is an ally.

The most important thing to know about living here is this:

Do not trust anything. It is insufficient to say that most of what is here can kill you. It would be better to state that most of it will kill you if given the chance. Not that death is a permanent affair here, [or, not usually...] but it's a tad unpleasant, nonetheless. I recommend avoiding it if you can.

On that note, try not to go without sleeping in your own beds for very long. That can kill you, as well.

Almost the entire tower is monitored by the administrators. The floor that we are currently occupying is the only one in which we are not being watched, which is why I chose to convene you all here. If you have any plans of rebellion, I suggest that this be where you discuss them.

I'm not going to bother listing everything that's dangerous here, because I daresay I'd be going on for weeks at that rate, but if you've got any questions about anything specific, you may ask them now.

The genius thing about everything trying to kill us is the fact that none of it is real.

You all might have noticed that sometimes things flicker a little strangely. The system that keeps everything and everyone looking relatively normal is known as the glamour system. It failed for the first time last June, and it's been a bit of a mess since then. Turns out that our bodies are as fake as all the awful stuff on the floors. The collar fluid actually fills your whole body— which will look rather barebones when the glamour is down, by the way. Bit creepy.

There are a few contraptions on the fifth floor that still look normal when the glamour goes down. I do not suggest looking through them, unless you wish to know what it feels like when all of your people are dead.

I can tell you all that your souls are real, at least; I recommend hanging on to that.

When we took out the glamour, it seems we took out something else important, as well.

You all might have noticed the countdown that's displayed on the terminals. That's how long we have until the power in the Tower fails completely and we all either die or are sent back to wander our empty worlds for eternity.

We have to figure out before then how to restore our worlds and get home. We have Aria to help us, and I'm certain that Zo would, as well, if we could figure out how to do it.

If you've got a pressing curiosity about anything that I have not yet answered, I'm now opening the floor for any remaining questions related to the Tower.

[After many trials and tribulations getting through all those explanations.]

Now, before we end this meeting, is there anything that anyone else would like to contribute?

[He hopes not.]

Questions, concerns, and [hesitation] ...comments are all acceptable.

[America is here! Dragging Zelda excitedly, because Zelda can come too this is great meetings for everybody. He lets go once they're actually in the room and rushes over to England to climb up his leg and side like a squirrel and perch on his shoulder.]

I'm America! [America wiggles around on England's shoulder, because everything including introducing himself is incredibly exciting right now.] I'm a colony... Um, New England? Or Virginia. [He is young, he has many names.]

Um... [America has to think back when it comes to this one, because he hasn't thought about it in a while and years are still a bit of a jumbled mess to him anyway. But:] Oh! It was 1608 when I got here.

A year annnd... Some months. Almost two years? [He isn't sure more specifically than that, and he doesn't really want to mention the pods to bring any more specificity into it, so that will have to be good enough.]

[England is quick to chime in, because he remembers when America showed up — it was right after the labyrinth.] Almost two years is correct, yes.

The bars are gross! [America that's not a question.]

I'm the Principality of Sealand! And I'm a micronation because England's a jerk who hasn't recognised me yet.

But soon, I'll be very powerful nation. When we get home.

Easy, America--!

[Why is this child so strong-- Ahem. She'll just... try to regain her composure after being dragged through the Tower, then approach England a bit more calmly than the colony.]

America seems to believe I should attend, but I can leave if I am unwelcome here.

[What even is a 'world meeting'.]

It was September 2nd 2013 when I got here! I remember because it was my birthday.

You all owe me presents, by the way.

I don't know exactly... [What month even is it? He has trouble keeping track exactly.] I think between six and nine months. Maybe eight?

America's right! We need better food.
