Format: Starting action but whatever everyone wants is fine!
Summary: After two and a half years in the Tower, England is finally calling for a meeting of the world. Or what little there is left of it.
Warnings: Idiocy. So much idiocy.

[Part of England has a feeling he's going to regret this. World meetings have always been a bit of a chore, but maybe with fewer participants it won't be so bad. Even if most of those participants aren't adults, or even proper nations.

All right, so multiple parts of England have the feeling he's going to regret this. But with the return of a few nations to the Tower and the appearance of some new ones, they're all going to need to be on the same page, especially given that the countdown on the terminals is rapidly approaching zero and they're going to need all the help they can get in restoring the worlds before that happens.]

[As the others arrive, England is as ill-tempered as ever, standing in the centre of the mostly-empty floor and regarding them all with considerable scrutiny. He has good reason to believe that most of them are going to misbehave.]

Pick somewhere to sit and stick to it.

I will not be tolerating foolishness today, you hear?

[colonial]

[America is here! Dragging Zelda excitedly, because Zelda can come too this is great meetings for everybody. He lets go once they're actually in the room and rushes over to England to climb up his leg and side like a squirrel and perch on his shoulder.]

[She looks around after she enters, and was about to go thank England for inviting her to the meeting.

That being said, he does look very pleased. So when she approaches--]

England, thank you very much for organising this. Do you need any assistance?

[England is right to be on his guard. It's been far too long since France has attended a world meeting. He didn't think he would actually grow to miss the messy congregation of annoying countries, but with so few of them left, he's aching to get started as quickly as possible.

It's soured a bit by the fact that England's running it. France gives him a snotty up-and-down look as he strides toward a seat.]

You say that like you expect it, cher Angleterre. [That's accompanied by a tiny smirk.] I hope all of that ugly animosity is not directed toward me.

[Being an ass to England will never, ever stop being therapeutic.]

[Prussia was just a teensy bit late. Not, like, cutting-into-the-meeting late, but later-than-the-others late.]

INTRODUCTIONS

[As soon as everyone is assembled, England clears his throat.]

I now call this world meeting to order.

Everyone — one at a time — state your name and the region you represent. [Normally, they don't have to introduce themselves at world meetings. But given that some of the nations here are from time periods where they won't recognise anyone, England thinks it's a necessary step.] We'll be proceeding around the room to my right.

INTRO: England

My name is England and I represent the constituent country of England, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

INTRO: America

I'm America! [America wiggles around on England's shoulder, because everything including introducing himself is incredibly exciting right now.] I'm a colony... Um, New England? Or Virginia. [He is young, he has many names.]

INTRO: Sealand

I'm the Principality of Sealand! And I'm a micronation because England's a jerk who hasn't recognised me yet.

But soon, I'll be very powerful nation. When we get home.

INTRO: Vietnam

[Oh, a formal introduction! She will have to be detailed this time, since she knows that she went by more names than most of them in the past.]

Hello, I currently go as Vietnam, but known officially as Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam, translated as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

INTRO: France

Je suis la République de France. [He speaks French pointedly, so that the collars won't automatically translate what he's saying. He does so love the sound of his own language.

He'll repeat himself for little, unfortunately English America's sake.]

...That is, I am the Republic of France. Formerly known as the Kingdom of France.

INTRO: Zelda

[Oh Goddesses, is she meant to introduce herself as well? It would probably be rude not to, even if she's... not exactly meant to be here.

Ahem.]

I am Zelda, Princess of the Kingdom of Hyrule. Obviously, I am not a nation, but I have been deeply involved in resistance efforts here for quite some time, so I hope through my experiences I can contribute something valuable despite my mortal status.

The name's Prussia! Also known as the Kingdom of Prussia, the Teutonic Order if you knew me way back when, and a whole bunch of other things.

[He makes a point of not saying "formerly" or mentioning East Germany. Those aren't things he wants to think about right now.]

INTRO: Seychelles

I'm the - uh... [She is not introducing herself as his colony, even though that's sort of obviously what she is, given that she's younger than anyone from the modern day will remember her being. She folds her arms over her chest and straightens herself up.] Sovereign Island Nation of Seychelles, at your service!

[Now that everyone is sufficiently confused by the fact that they had to introduce themselves...]

All right, now listen— and kindly refrain from calling me mental until after everyone has had a chance to speak. [He knows it's coming, ok.]

When I arrived, it was 2011.

PERIOD: America

Um... [America has to think back when it comes to this one, because he hasn't thought about it in a while and years are still a bit of a jumbled mess to him anyway. But:] Oh! It was 1608 when I got here.

PERIOD: Sealand

It was September 2nd 2013 when I got here! I remember because it was my birthday.

You all owe me presents, by the way.

PERIOD: Vietnam

I understand, England! [It's okay Seychelles gave her a weird look around before about this.]

PERIOD: France

[France prods at the inside of his cheek with his tongue, arms crossed over his chest.]

April 2013. [He just passed his one-year Tower anniversary. Whoopee.]

PERIOD: Prussia

Man, what year was it even when I got here...? October 2012. I think.

PERIOD: Seychelles

Back home, it was 1812! I just kicked England's guy who was bossing me around out, and it was awesome.

DURATION OF STAY

[England's admittedly not entirely prepared for this one. Saying it was 2011 when he got here was fine without context, but...

He raises his voice to be heard after some time, so he can move the discussion along. This is going to be a pattern.] Now, you all will say how long it is you've been in the Tower. If you've gone home at any time, please inform the group of how long you spent there, as well.

[This time, he hesitates a bit before answering for himself. But, dutifully, he goes first again.]

...I've been here for just over two and a half years.

THE SITUATION

[He has a headache already. He has never so missed Germany's presence as he does right now.

But introductions were the easy part. Now, he has to brief the relatively new nations on the situation.]

I'm sure some of you are wondering what the bloody hell is going on here anyway.

Well, you've been brought to Tower Designation Animus; the "Tower of Animus" for short. The administrators claim to have saved you, but I'm certain that most of us know it's a load of tripe by now.

There's rather a lot to cover, so I'd appreciate it if you'd all keep discussion to the appropriate places, when prompted. [He means don't interrupt him.]

THE ADMINISTRATORS

[keepscalm]

There are three people in charge, and they live in the lower areas of the Tower, where we are not normally allowed access.

There's Zo, the little boy who did the legwork of bringing you here and the only tolerable one of the three. He's perhaps not the most emotionally stable child, but he's the only one left who really wants to help.

There's Riki, a lying clod who's about as helpful to the Tower residents as a good kick in the teeth. Don't know much about him save for the fact that he does Tower maintenance and he's a conniving tosser.

And then there's Ruana— a little girl and the boss of all of them, who has a bit of an unfortunate tendency to consume her compatriots when they outlive their usefulness.

There used to be two others — Dax and Jason. They're dead now, but you might hear people talk about them sometimes. Dax was on our side, but Jason deserved what he got.

[Then, England pauses, and indicates a certain retrieval unit at the opposite end of the room.]

Her name is Aria. She's here to assist us; you may speak to her at a later date if you find the need to. For now, just know that she is an ally.
