Endgame: In This Last of Meeting Places
Characters: Aria, Zo, open
Setting: floor 001 for now
Format: action brackets
Summary: Aria and Zo reappear quite suddenly.
Warnings: standard animus event warnings
Aria and Zo tumble out of the elevator more than they step out of it. They look worse for wear; Zo's covered in minor scrapes and bruises, and Aria'a left arm hangs at her side uselessly, bloody and mangled. As soon as they're on solid ground, Zo turns and forces the elevator doors shut without touching them, leaving the broken car lodged in place behind it, and Aria slides to the floor, gasping for breath. They're both on high alert even for all their exhaustion.

[Yukiko doesn't take her hand off the wall, but she does look around to try and see how close they are to the exit. It's times like this she really misses having Rise around - not that she doesn't miss her friend anyway, but having someone that could scan things would really, really come in handy right about now.
She's half-tempted to go with the 'kill it with fire' approach, but they have a long way to go yet, and who knows what waiting for them ahead. It might be better to wait.]

We just need to find the exit, that's all.
[So simply put, as if they're not being chased.]

[Riku shouts to Diarmuid, continuing to move along the wall.]
They've already got enough adaptations as it is. We don't want to make it worse.
[Despite that, he's got his Keyblade at the ready, should the units draw too close. Worse comes to worse, they may have to fight back.]

[Diarmuid shouts back at Riku in agreement, his stance shifting from something attack-oriented to something more defensive as he continues moving. Indeed, the variation in their adaptions is disturbing to Diarmuid. It had been one thing to see them adapting mainly to Waver's water and ice based attacks, but to see them adapting to so many different attack variations...]
My abilities are more suited for pulling people to safety and drawing fire at this point anyway.
[Plus, holding back would let him conserve energy for what might be waiting ahead and that will help Waver who he bound to and shares energy with. His partner is going to need all the energy he can get by the time this is over, especially since it seems magic is currently more useful than physical attacks are. The less Diarmuid needs to draw from him, the better.]
