[It's a relieve to hear her voice at least, to know that she is probably no worse for wear than she was when Ruana forced them to pass out.]

I'm here, Xion. Are you holding up?

[Another voice down. She's not surprised, given what'd happened, but...]

Yeah, I think so. Nothing... nothing feels too different.

[Or too bad. But there's no denying she doesn't like the position they're in, currently, for a multitude of reasons.]

We didn't die though.

[Riku doesn't either, really. They are trapped, they are kept apart and without powers. There is no way to free themselves without help from the outside, at least none that Riku can see. The situation is definitely worse than worse. Even so...]

We didn't. And as long as we aren't dead, there's still hope.

[Very faint hope maybe, but it's there nonetheless. Giving up isn't in the cards yet.]

[And that's probably more comforting than anything anybody else has said to her thus far.]

Yeah... you're right. [She takes a deep breath, then lets it out] What should we do now?

[It's a more serious question, rather than the desperate one she asked Asch. Less of a 'oh no what can we do' and more 'what should we do to get ready for when there's something we can do.]

[It takes a moment until he answers that; it's not exactly an easy question after all and Riku doesn't want to give an unrealistic answer. They all know how bad their situation is, and being overly optimistic isn't his style anyway. At least not in the 'it's going to work out somehow if you just believe it will'-way.]

...We use the time we have right now to recover. [Maybe not so much physically, but the fight against Riki and the aftermath of them have doubtlessly left some mental nicks they ought to address now while there's time.] And we wait. Ruana is bound to come here; I doubt she'll just leave us here to rot... or maybe Zo or Aria will make an attempt to get to us. Either way, there will be opportunity. And once there is, we strike.

[This is all sketchy at best, but it's the best he can give right now.]

[Xion listens, and what he says does make sense. He's right, there's a lot of emotional hurt going on from what happened. She should probably talk about some of it, but... it's hard. Some of it was so terrifying she doesn't want to relive it already.

And as for that last bit]

Riku, what should I do then?

[Very familiar question, but very different context. Unless they can heal her leg somehow... she's going to be a liability and she knows it.]
