[He answers dryly, sighing. One would think she'd at least have a bit more in the imagination department...]

Guess she wanted to make it a trip down memory lane.

[There's an unspoken question in his tone as he attempts to gauge Ken's reaction. Is he alright as one could be in this situation? Tired was something he could understand - they all were at this point - but he can't ask it. Really, no one was okay at this point. "Alive for now" was good enough for him.]

[Ken's tone is mostly just flat. He has a lot of emotions but he's trying to stay strong. He can collapse once it's all over, and it won't be over until Ruana is dead and they have a way to get home. Death is no longer an acceptable risk, most likely - so they have to plan.]

[So he'll either collapse once that's done or he'll be dead.]

And not even a Jason to taunt. Is it bad that I kind of miss him in some ways? I mean they're both super creepy but Ruana is just too weird for me to understand and we come from a world with Shadows and apparently a goddess of night trying to kill everything. Jason at least was a recognizable figure to hate.

Not really. I agree. [Still vaguely disappointed about not getting a second time to punch him with a sword? Damn straight he is. Though he settles for trying to lightly punching the cell wall-
