It had been before members of the Tower had decided to attack Riki, and now Ocelot is left wondering if perhaps she should have joined them. She could have gotten the chance to attack Riki had she joined.
But she hadn't, and now she's locked in here like some sort of animal. It was enough to enrage her, though even if she was locked in the cell with a companion, she wouldn't have appeared to be as angry as she was.]
Perhaps this is where we will remain until that time counts down. It may be the simplest way for her to deal with us.
[If the idea bothers her, it's hard to tell; her tone is completely flat.]

Although it would have been something of a climax to have fought Riki, doing so would be protecting Zo and Sephiroth isn't about that at all. He had been far more interested with the state of the second block and that floor they seemed to be protecting. Floor 23.]
That much is guaranteed, from how it looks currently.
[He's very good at keep his own tone at least as flat at Ocelot's. It seems that some appearances are worth keeping up, even now.]

For a while there, I believed that we may have had a chance.
[Even if that chance had been to kill Ruana. Riki was dead. Now her opportunities to take out the administrators are slowly evaporating. She has to get her hands on Ruana.
Ocelot hardly cares that Ruana is a little girl. It doesn't make any difference to her. She'd still kill her in the end.
That is, if she can escape from this prison.]

Not that he could do very much about such a comment, being stuck in this cell.]
It concerns me that you would place such wild belief in something you must have suspected was flawed, Ocelot.
[He had tried to open up, he had even shared what information he knew with whomever might have asked as he'd visited the Hidden Floor more often in later days. But it all was proved worthless when it was revealed that none of them really had a solid plan which they could substantiate.
Then he'd abruptly walked out.]

I had something very important that needed to be done. I suppose it doesn't matter now.
no subject
I imagine everyone here probably had something of equal importance, that they wanted to achieve before the end.
[And he's no exception, of course. Though it still props his ego up a lot that he had the cards stacked well enough to try. Nesir's recent words with him ring in the back of his consciousness, when he wouldn't have paid them much mind in the months before.]

Of course they did. Each person thinks his or her own mission is the most vital.
no subject
[His mission was the most vital. He's just not the type to have expanded his perceptions to include anyone else. It's all about him, his Planet and his Destiny.]
It still is the most vital. It needs to be, now more than ever.

Her plans aren't over yet. There's still years worth of thing that need to happen. Getting Metal Gear's data back-- the real data, not the film that was destroyed that looked like it, is essential. The Patriots must be destroyed. Zero has to pay for what he's done.
She has to get revenge for Big Boss. For John.]
We'll kill her together.
no subject
Oh undoubtedly. At the first opportunity.
[He's not really spent a lot of time considering actually killing Ruana until now. Having been more concerned with Zo and his ability to rip souls apart. That needed to be something to make himself impervious to. Though, one thing is tipping the balance; that energy Ruana would undoubtedly take from his Planet to re-power the Tower - belonged to him.
Once that thought started to fester, and it's had ample time to in the hours they've spent in these cells, Ruana has quickly become the obstacle standing in his way.]

She might have the powers of the other administrators now, but that doesn't matter to her. She'll still be dead by the end of the day. The opposite is nearly inconceivable. But they'll need real weapons.
Ocelot has the dagger that Nesir gave her, but it won't be enough. She needs something long distance. Something real. Her gun would be preferable, but she doesn't think it possible to get it now. It's been a long time since she last found herself on the base of Shadow Moses.]
With the entire Tower rising against her, we'll kill her.
[If not, they all die.]
no subject
It turned out that he could be made as useless as Ocelot, who had no such additional power, and he has always hated it. Sephiroth makes no illusion of his incredibly bitter mood, in his tone it's more than obvious.]
She's expecting exactly that.
[Yes, they'll die if they fail. But there is the slight problem that they are all cell-bound and he's certain she could do what she liked to each of them while they were trapped in here.]

It was a shame that her gun had turned out to be a fake. It had still worked even in the end, but all the same it hadn't been a real weapon. She didn't have it anymore anyway.
They would have to plan the assault carefully. Ruana would surely have powers the other residents could only dream of. Ocelot herself knew better than to charge in and attack someone as powerful.
They had to do it now. They would either succeed in destroying Ruana, or they would all die trying.
There was no other option.]
Perhaps she knew all along it would turn out like this.
[The thought nearly brings a smile to her lips.]
no subject
As you know, that's been a recurring thought of mine for a long while.
[It doesn't bring a smile though, the fact remains that there isn't anything that he's been able to do about it. Only one time, during his short-lived peak when he drew a lot of the Towers own power into himself, had Sephiroth been given even an inch of a chance.]
no subject
We'll end this one way or another. Or we'll perish trying.
no subject
It's very sour to think how similar they might be.]
All roads lead to the same outcome, in the end. Our time here is very nearly over.
