He breathed, in and out and almost missed the next question. "I'm alright... I'm in control." Mostly, he could feel the darkness of his mind, of madness and rage and fear, waiting in his shadow for him to fall into it but he was clinging to the now, to Xion in the cage three down from his, to Diarmuid's voice. Nothing would come of giving in and so he was forcing himself into calmness.

"Xion's hurt. She probably told you that and once we get out of here, she's going to need your help. You can do that, right?"
no subject
"I know... I tried to help her but I can't do much from here, she's resting at the moment." Glancing over to check she was doing that and hadn't sat up again.
no subject
"She will need your help more once we are moving from here. It might be a good idea to save up some extra energy just in case."
no subject
"Does anyone have a plan?"
no subject
"I know more than one person has searched their cells carefully to see if they can find a way out. What about you? Does anything catch your eyes?"
no subject
If no one had found a way out then Shion was sure there wasn't one, but he looked anyways. It was something to do and it was something he could do.
He looked around, looking for any kind of weak spots. "I assume people have tried smashing the glass..."
no subject
"What are we missing?"
no subject
"Have you ever been in a cage like this before?"
no subject
Diarmuid isn't sure if he is comforted or concerned by the idea that these cells might have been used before. On one hand, if they were used before, there is more chance people might be able to find a way out. On the other, the fact that no one has yet...is not promising...
no subject
He hasn't heard of any way out from what people have said in the past.
no subject
No, he won't let himself think that. Something will happen...
"Perhaps the power keeping them going will fail before time runs out. We might be able to get out then..."
no subject
Not the best method since it would give them very little time, but better than the alternative.

It might sound like he is reading Shion's mind, but at the moment, he is really trying to convince himself this will work, because there seems like there are no other options...
