This isn't the Green Sun

Characters: Aradia Megido (OU) + open
Setting: Room 2-03, floor three, floor four or anywhere in-between - just note where you're finding her
Format: Starts in prose but will match comments
Summary: This is not where she expected to end up
Warnings: None.

Aradia had always known that using Noir as a map to the Green Sun would be risky, but nowhere in any of her thoughts had there been the possibility that it would cause her to fall asleep again (at least, she was assuming that was the case) and wake up somewhere entirely different.

Still, she was used to the game throwing weird twists of fate at her. And once she read the notes, even as she wasn't sure how this tied in with what she'd been doing before, she was more than convinced that arguing the matter probably wasn't going to help.

Instead, she decided to make a start on exploring. The first and second floors held little interest; the third, however, caught her attention enough that she spent some time browsing the shelves, making note of the many volumes that appeared to offer interesting reading material. And when she reached the fourth, the vastness of the view around her was enough to convince her that perhaps it would be okay to sit here for a while.

[grinning again] Flustered indignation is a goal here at Willow Rosenberg and Company. We are all about the harmless teasing.

... Troll Indiana Jones? You think they have that? [She looks undeniably interested.] We definitely need to check this out, stat.

[Willow clears her throat and speaks in a very obviously fake pompous voice.] Miss Aradia Fairytroll, would you do me the pleasure of joining me on an excursion in pursuit of movies for our prospective movie night?

Well he's just called Indiana Jones where I'm from, [she says with raised eyebrows.] Do you call him Troll Harrison Ford, too? Doesn't that mean they all came from Earth originally if you have to add "troll" to the beginning?

[Okay, this is getting a little academic and speculative, which Willow is all for except for that part where she really, really wants to go see what movies the tower has. If any.

Having substantial practice with silly voices, Willow's answer back is self-assured and confident.]
Miss Fairytroll it is, then. Let us stand and be on our way, for movies are surely a treasure that will win glory to our names. [Duly standing up as she says this.]

You made Earth? Could you maybe elaborate on that as we search? [Since this doesn't relate to her Earth, this just gets a mild eyebrow raise. She's not exactly weirded out-- but she is curious.]

[Walking along toward the central staircase--]
I think I saw a floor that has a bunch of TVs in it. We should start there. It's way up top, though. They seriously need to install an elevator for us wingless types.

Huh. So you ended up making Earth? I guess that explains why I keep recognizing some of the stuff you guys mention, like all of your symbols. Mystery solved! [She actually seems pretty pleased about that. It'd been bugging her.]

This whole tower is a discombobulated mess, so who knows? [She giggles a little back. Talking to someone with the same sense of humor as her, and who's this nice, is putting Willow in a really good mood.] How long have you had your wings, if you're still adjusting?

The ones I've seen have been astrological symbols. It's probably more complicated than you're interested in.

Logic? Is that supposed to be a thing now? [she agrees jokingly.] I thought we were on "random mish-mash of horrors".

Okay, I could've told you that one. Demon plus travel? Usually does not work out as expected. Just, going on what I've read from texts. You seem like you're doing pretty well with them so far, though! Demon aside.

Nah, it's okay. I didn't need that ear anyway. Tell you later?

Sometimes the logic is more like, whimsical suggestion. I know how that goes.

Oh, do we ever. Maybe other Earths don't, but mine? I live on top of a portal to hell. Demon party central.

Being held, [she says with a confirming nod.]

There is such a thing as a nice demon, but they aren't the ones that throw the parties. It tends to be way less fun and more insanely dangerous wacky hijinks. With a lot of, it's Thursday, I hope I don't get killed until I get to take that test tomorrow in math thrown in, but that was probably just me.

[They're still climbing the stairs and are presumably almost at the media level by now...]

I'm a big fan of not getting killed. Still on my first life and, hey, would like to keep it that way.

Over... here? Here looks good. [heading in a completely arbitrary direction now]

Dying-- I generally try to opt out.

[Poking around some shelves of DVDs with the air of an established movie critic.] Season of the Witch? I think this actually looks too bad to even mock enjoyably with popcorn. That's pretty bad.
