Every day's great at your... Animus?

Characters: Yosuke Hanamura and YOU! Yes, YOU!
Setting: Room 2-14 and Floor 14
Format: Action is vastly preferred, but I'll prose if you want. Just be warned - prose tags take me a lot longer.
Summary: Yosuke arrives! Derping ensues.

Room 2-14

[Yosuke's never been quick to wake up - unless it's someone waking him up in the middle of class. Laying in bed an extra few minutes is normal. What's not normal is the bed, the room, or anything about this place. And then panic ensues! What we end up with is one Yosuke trying his best to keep calm as he takes in these strange surroundings in a slight panic]

What the hell?! Who's idea of a joke is this!

Floor 14

[Yosuke - now dressed in his usual threads, headphones around his neck, has found his way to the entertainment room. He doesn't feel particularly jolly though, and rather than enjoy the entertainment he's sprawled on a couch, looking up and contemplating the last few hours of his life]

[As her story progresses he goes from disbelief to shock to his jaw having dropped. Sure, parts of it go way over his head, but the general gist of it? That's easy enough to understand, and that shit be crazy]

[When she finishes, he doesn't even know what to say]

[And that's before everything that went down after the Rift. But all in good time and she of anyone had plenty of it]

I've never played anything like it before...of course, I was never really one for video games anyway.

So what made you interested in the one you found?

[On the one hand, this was going to sound weird. On the other hand, so had everything else and she hadn't broken him yet]

I've been able to hear the voices of the dead since I was very young. They guided me to the temple in the first place and made it clear that the code was important. Though it was Sollux who figured out it was gaming code.

[It's weird, but it's also the sort of thing you can't just glance over]

Hold on, back up a second. You hear dead people? Just... all the time?

Well, not any more. And it got worse after I died. But they seem to have quietened down now I've reached God Tier.

And I thought my life was crazy... I think you've got me beat about a thousand times over.

That doesn't make your struggles or achievements any less important, though. I think crazy's somewhat relative in a place like this.

Oh, don't get me wrong! I'm damn proud of everything I've done! I just... well, I sort of figured the rest of the universe was way more normal than the stuff I dealt with.

Totally wrong on that one.

I wouldn't necessarily think so. For your universe, that's probably true...not that I know much about humans.

Actually, that reminds me - sorry if this is rude, but what are you?

[She just grins at that]

[Oh god, she can't help but giggle at that. A lot. That is one of the most ridiculous things she has ever heard and that's including her own life story]

Oh...you humans have quite the imaginations. But I'm quite sure a troll is what I am and I assure you I'm not very different from other trolls from my world.

[And now he's embarrassed - look at that blush!]

Are many of your troll friends here too?

I'm not sure. I know Sollux and Nepeta are here...and Sollux's ancestor, apparently, which was a little strange. And I've been told Eridan's here...actually, two Eridans are here but I've not seen either of them yet. Other than that, I don't know.

How about you? Is there anyone else from your world here?

... kind of? It's really weird. I met this girl who's definitely from the same world and went through a lot of similar stuff, but I never knew her before. It's almost scary how close our stories are.

Oh yeah? Maybe it's something like how our Ancestors also grew up on Alternia but we never really knew them since they were all away at war when we were born.

Yeah, maybe something like that. I was so shocked at the time I wasn't really thinking straight enough to ask.

Understandable. There's enough to take in without having to think about how the various timelines work. Even for those of us who know more about it than most.

[Which is her way of saying: I don't get it either so don't worry]

[He chuckles and nods]

Then that'll be last on my things to worry about. Way behind finding out who's in charge, if they're lying, and how to prove it.

That's quite the list. You should probably speak to Terezi, if she's here. That sounds like the sort of thing she'd be interested in pursuing.
