Summary: Mindfang wakes up and flips some shit

Dorm 1-15

[Even as she stirs, sleep paralysis clinging to her Mindfang doesn't freak. She doesn't allow herself to, doing that will only bring satisfaction to her captors, she's sure of it. Instead she waits, reaching out with her mind while she tests her body, waiting for it's response. And even when she does feel her muscles twitch and she finds herself able to sit up she doesn't rush, movements lazy as if she has not a fear in the world. The collar around her throat? An innconvience yes, but she knows she'll get it off with ease.

That doesn't mean she'll take this lying down though. If either of her room-mates are in the room as she wakes they'll find themselves grabbed by a rather tall troll, one eye a brilliant red, one arm completely robotic and her stare fierce even as her tone stays calm and controlled]

Where am I? Explain, now.

Throughout the tower

[Having changed out of that skintight white suit into one of her changes of clothes Mindfang swaggers her way through the tower, her seeing eye focused and all her senses on alert. She won't let anyone surprise her, and if they even try... well, she'll enjoy a good fight, and she's more than prepared, with a thin sword strapped to her side and her dice on her person.

Scratches of blue line her throat where nails have broken through her skin in her attempts to pull her collar off, a fight she only gave up because of her need to find out more about this place. She'll best the thing, and once she does, she'll find those that put it on her and tear them apart. The audacity, thinking they could collar the great Marquise as if she was nothing but a lowblood slave.

She'll show them. Once she finds them]

[The second she comes through the door, Nina feels herself suddenly grabbed, and looks up at the other woman with a start. Mindfang is tall and her grip is strong, enough that even Nina isn't sure she could easily break free. She twists slightly in the troll's grip, or tries to, but doesn't put up any genuine resistance for now.

The look in her eyes is hard, not quite a glare but not friendly either.]

If you let me go, I'll tell you.

[She can't help it, Mindfang chuckles at the look in the woman's eyes. For a moment her grip tightens and it's clear how strong Mindfang is, how strong the metal of her robotic arm is. And then she lets go, brushing metal fingers over Nina's shoulder as she continues to stand very close to her, lips curved in a smirk as she looks down.

The woman's strange appearance doesn't escape her though, Mindfang studying the woman's skin, the lack of any visible defences. What a weak little alien she had found.]

There. Now speak.

[Nina gives a sharp hiss at the grip. She's suddenly aware that Mindfang could easily crush her like a bug or twist her into a pretzel without exerting any real effort. She refuses to completely give up on her defiance, but she's not about to pick any fights with this strange-looking woman either. She's used to strange-looking things in the Tower, but Mindfag's appearance is still intimidating.

She rubs the spot where Mindfag's grip tightens, and frowns. But she obeys.]

You're in the Tower. As far as anyone knows, that's all it's called. Nobody's found any way to get out and some powers won't work in certain areas.

Did you see the note that was left for you? Did you bother to read it at all?

[She can't help the small smirk that forms at Nina's hiss, at the discomfort she's caused in this woman. It's almost instinctive to straighten up a little more, flash sharp teeth and continue intimidating.]

What sort of powers don't work? [And the rest gets an eye roll, Mindfang shrugging it off] Does it matter. I can still ask questions, and why should I place my trust in a piece of paper written by captors.

No, it's much more informative to talk to prisoners.

You can't teleport out. [Until a few weeks ago, Nina would not have believe you could teleport at all, but the Tower is full of surprises.] You can't fly out of any areas that open to the outside. You'll fall to your death. Some of the the other floors are dangerous, too. You could get hurt or worse.

You should at least look at it. I don't think it's all true, but it would help to know what they're trying to make you believe. Whoever brought us here is saying that are homes were destroyed.

Only those abilities? [Mindfang waves a dismissive hand. Had it been more mental capabilities, then she would worry. Then she would have actually considered the tower a threat.] And I'm not afraid of being harmed. It's happened before, it'll happen again.

Fine. If you have nothing else of any use to say, I'll read a silly letter. [The mention of her home being destroyed gets a slight eyebrow lift but in the end... Mindfang's never been that attached to Alternia. On the very unlikely chance that what Nina even says is true]

As far as I know. I don't have any abilities myself, so I can only go by what others have told me and what I've seen. [Nina huffs slightly. She doesn't want to go out of her way to provoke Mindfang, but the other woman's demeanor is waring on her.]

Look, I'd like to be able to tell you more, but right now I can't. The people in charge here haven't exactly been forthcoming about information. I can only guess based on what they don't seem to want us to know.

Hmm. [Her eyes flick down and study Nina again, studying the smoothness of the skin and softness of the body. No horns, seemingly no natural physical defences and no special abilities. And yet she had so much spunk, seemingly unafraid.

Chuckling she leans in close, a glimpse of her teeth showing as she stands face to face, a complete invasion of personal space] Oh... you've been helpful, pet. You've given me enough to be... interested. [She leans back and moves away, going to inspect the chest at the end of the bed she woke up on]
