The most heroic bronie
Characters: Lancer and you!
Setting: Dormitories on January 1, and then throughout the Tower
Format: Open, anything goes!
Summary: Lancer enjoys his regain
Warnings: None right now.
A. Room 4-16, January 1
[The strange noises from floor 101 had drawn Lancer's attention, so he had gone to investigate. To his surprise, he had found a teleporter and a secret floor and Aria's strange machine. Knowing that it was a matter replicator, he had jokingly requested one of his horses.]
[Of course, it was only a joke to him. As he heads back to his room, he doesn't actually expect to hear horse whinnies actually echoing through the halls of the dormitories. As he rushes over to his room, he hears the whinnying increasing in volume, followed by dog barks and the sound of gnashing teeth. In addition, his nose picks up on the distinct scent of both Mac an Chuill and a horse.]
[He more or less kicks the door down the second he arrives at room 4-16. As soon as he pokes his head into the room, he can see Mac an Chuill and a big grey Irish draught horse trying their best to bite, stomp, or claw each other. It seems to be a stalemate, with neither of them successfully wounding the other yet.]
Hey!
[He calls to the horse, followed by a sharp whistle and a wave. Both of the animals pause at the familiar voice, and the horse, forgetting Mac an Chuill's presence completely, rushes over to his master.]
She did it! She really did it!
[Cu Chulainn's voice as he pets his horse is half part delight, and half part surprise. He hadn't expected that Aria would actually be able to give him his horse back, but there she is. Liath Macha, in the flesh.]
I missed you, big guy!
[Standing on his tiptoes, he gives the horse a big hug. He can feel that even with her master present, Liath Macha is still tense about the unfamiliar space and the unwelcome addition to her territory. In addition to her tensed muscles, she's stamping one of her front feet on the ground and letting out irritated snorts.]
...Let's get away from her for a bit, okay?
[Cu Chulainn knows his horse. He knows how wild and spirited and aggressive she is. And he knows the best thing to do is to take her out and work off her energy, then bring her back when she's tired and calm. He pats her on the head and, grabbing her mane, springs on her back in a move that both master and ride are familiar with.]
B. Throughout the Tower, any day
[The look on Cu Chulainn's face as he rides his horse down the stairs and onto floors is one of pure, childish excitement. The giant of a horse stampedes through floors, hopping over or kicking down obstacles. Every so often, it pauses to much on things that attract its interest or its ire. If its owner notices its behavior, then he doesn't care, since he never makes any effort to stop it.]
[Whenever they encounter anyone during their stops, Lancer always calls to them to join him.]
Hey, you wanna get on? It's fun!

On the stairs.

[Liath Macha turns to Edgeworth and makes a sound halfway between a growl and a grunt. Cu Chulainn pulls on her ear.]
Easy, girl. He's...friendly. Sort of.
no subject
Well, in a way. In a tsun way - not tsun in the sense that he doesn't want to show that he cares but tsun in the sense that a) he'd rather not make a big deal of the fact he cares and b) he sucks at feelings.]
no subject
[As Liath Macha twists her body to continue sniffing at Edgeworth, she starts filling up the entire stairwell. She doesn't stumble yet, but she's a little unstable. However, she chooses to focus on Edgeworth's cravat instead of her footing.]

skip until we get to the floor
4-16 (After Cu comes back from that 'calm down' ride, if that is okay!)
But can Diarmuid really be blamed for wanting to kill just a few more monsters with his nearly reacquired spear?
Said spear shifts slightly on his back as he rights the nightstand on his brother's side of the room. Mac an Chuill, while seeming a little unsettled, really doesn't seem guilty. That is the other reason that Diarmuid doesn't end up blaming the dog for the mess. He's not ever been one to be able to hide when he's done something wrong.]
Just what caused this mess anyway? And what does it have against my brother?
[Since, it seems that Cu Chulainn's part of the room is in the worst shape. Or maybe it just seems that way because of his brother's own messy nature...]
of course it's fine!
Bro? Is that you?
[A big grin lights up his face as he realizes that his brother has returned just in time to see his horse. He hops off of Liath Macha and pats his brother on the shoulder.]
Look what Aria gave me, Bro!
:-D
Well...I suppose that solves the mystery of why the room is such a mess. They didn't hurt each other, did they?
[He hadn't noticed any wounds on the dog, but he has no idea if the same holds true for his brother's beloved horse.]
Re: :-D
Nah, Liath Macha here is a tough old girl, and I think I caught her before she could hurt Mac an Chuill.
[He gives an embarrassed laugh.]
She's pretty aggressive toward strangers, and she just love to bite. Sorry.

[ Guess who's never actually been around horses before. Well, outside of her dreams, either way. ]

[He leans to speak into Liath Macha's ear.]
Listen, girl, This little knight is friendly, so no biting, okay?
[Thankfully, Liath Macha seems to be distracted by something else right now. She doesn't even look at Urotsuki.]

January 11
So it's probably not too much of a leap that it takes awhile for Archer to actually see Lancer on his horse -- and almost get knocked right off the stairwell.]
Watch it, you fool!
Re: January 11
[He gives Liath Macha's mane a quick pull to make her stop.]
Hey, Archer. Didn't see you there. Guess both me and this big girl were too excited.
[A pause.]
...You wanna pet her
[Not even Archer's complaint can dampen his mood today.]
no subject
Why would I want to pet the creature that almost trampled me?
[Yes, he's still sore about that.]

[He beams at Archer, as if his answer just now was the obvious one.]

B, floor 62
The sound of hoofbeats kind of detracts from the experience, and it's not long before he turns towards the stairs and arches his brow at Lancer and his steed.]
Man, where'd you even get a horse that big?
Re: B, floor 62

[Well, okay, his Ryu Dragon's still pretty big, but with stubby legs, he certainly lacks the elegance of a noble steed.]

sorry for my slowbutt. Dorm halls?
Is this another offering from our captors?
no subject
Nah, this is from Aria! She got a machine to make things for us and everything.
[He gives Liath Macha's mane a little pull to keep her from trying to bite Kirei.]
You wanna pet her?
no subject
[ It is still a difficult concept for Kirei to grasp. Unless this Aria has excelled beyond that... which he deems unlikely.
That offer, coupled with the horse's bared teeth, makes Kirei's expression fall even flatter. ]
No, not in particular.
