Characters: Lil' Link and you!
Setting: Room 1-18 and both dorm floors.
Format: Either or!
Summary: Link freaks out and then freaks out a little more.
Warnings: None I think; will change if it happens?

[Room 1-18 and probably the hallway too.]

[Of all the ways Link has woken up before, this had to be the worst. First was the sleep paralysis; that gave him a good spook, since it's definitely never happened before. Only thing that equals paralysis in his mind are those stupid Redeads - but after gaining movement again, he already checked the room for those.
Thank goodness there aren't any. Yet.

But second was realizing, hey, this definitely is not anywhere he remembers being. Definitely, definitely not. This place is too... fake feeling to be anywhere on the Great Sea. So of course, he got up to check the room out.

And that's when he noticed the third thing - that collar clamped around his neck. Oh, this ain't good, no sir; it feels like something evil, and just looking at what he can see of it gives him a little bit of the heebie jeebies. Which means it must come off, and now.

So if you pass by that room or are lucky enough to be in it, you may or may not find Link with his back to the floor, hands clasped on what he can grab of the collar, and his little legs scooting him backwards across the ground like he expects it to help. It's probably pretty dumb looking.]

[Around the dorm areas.]

[Later, of course, is time for a little exploration; he's grabbed all he can carry out of his trunk, and he's making his way around to try and find the door outta here - which in his logic means "go around and open every door you find". So feel free to notice the little nine year old hero peeking his head into your room, there.]

Stuff like this always comes off, though...

[He gives it one, last, futile tug before frowning back up at this guy and WHOAH YOU LOOK LIKE THAT STATUE.

Hope you don't mind him gawking just a little, big Link.]

[He blinks a few times.]



...do you... need something?

There's a big statue that looks like you in Hyrule!

[Aaand his arms go in the air to show just how big it is, too.]

Are you a hero? Like the one in the legend?

Hyrule...

[He heard about that from place one of the other Link's]

I am a hero but I don't know about any Legend.

[cantstopme]

You haven't heard of the legend?

[It takes him a second, before realizing -]

Oh... well, I guess if you are the hero in the legend, then you wouldn't really know the legend...

I can tell it to you, if you want. I know most of it, I think.

[theherourherocouldbelike]

[He smiles.]

Okay.

[cantstopme]

Well, a long long long time ago, this big country called Hyrule was a big, peaceful place and stuff, but this big evil guy named Ganondorf got jealous because the place he lived in was really hot and really cold... or something like that.

[He doesn't really remember what Ganondorf said word for word, okay.]

But, uh...he was evil to the land of Hyrule, but this big, strong hero came along and defeated him and sealed him away! He was only a kid when he started, but I think he grew up along the way or something.
I got these clothes when I turned the same age as the hero of the legend when he started his quest, but the statue was all grown up...

[His smile turns soft and he ruffles Link's hair.]

I'm not the hero in that legend but I believe I met the one who was.

[cantstopme]

[He squints one of his eyes with a huff at that hair ruffle, and reaches up to fix his hat, before looking at the other Link with a bit of amazement.]

You did?

... I kind of want to meet him. What's he like?
Is he strong like the legend says?

He looks pretty strong, and he's friendly and helpful too.

[His smile is still on his face. This little kid must be another Link. He wondered if he were before or after the kid on the timeline.]

So, my name is Link. What's yours?

[cantstopme]

Well, uh...

My name is Link, too.

[He gets up onto his feet then, brushing himself off a bit. It didn't help his height much, but he prefers standing and talking anyway.]

How do we have the same name? And we almost have the same clothes...

[He also stands up.]

There are a few other guys by the name of Link. Another one told me something about timelines.

Timelines...?

I'm sorry, I don't know anything about that; I'm not the Hero of Time, so I don't even deal with that kinda stuff.

[Yeah, he thinks you have to be the Hero of Time to deal with time.]

[He is inwardly face palming]

I have a question though. You don't have a sword on you, have you heard of the Master Sword?

[cantstopme]

Of course! That's the sword I have, but I don't know where it is...

[... Oh, now he's worried; don't mind if he starts looking around the room a bit.]

... I think I left it underwater.

[theherourherocouldbelike]

[He blinks a few times and then moves over to a trunk.]

It could be in here.

[cantstopme]

[He blinks a bit, before moving over to the trunk as well.]

Why? ... Is my stuff in this?

I had a lot of stuff before I showed up here, but it's all gone...

A few of my things were in a trunk like this at the end of my bed when I arrived.

[cantstopme]

[He looks at it for a second then, before nodding and opening it up to get a good look -- and would you look at that!

He nearly climbs into the darn thing, excited at the prospect of having almost all of his things in a place like this.]

Even my sail is here! ... Oh, but my Skullhammer is missing... I guess I don't need it too much.

[After a moment, he pulls his sword and shield out of the trunk, hanging them on his back as always, and unsheathing the small Master Sword for Link to see.]

Here it is.

[He laughs a little.]

It's so small!

[BABY FI]

[WH - NO IT IS A LONG AND MANLY BLADE THANK YOU]

No, it's... it's just a little short is all!

[theherourherocouldbelike]

[He spans his arms a few feet apart.]

You see this? From here--- [He moves his right arm] -- to here-- [He moves his left arm] --is how long my sword was.

[cantstopme]

...

[And gawking again because whoaah.

Now he's looking his own sword over a bit...]

... But why is mine so short?

Maybe it's because you're young?

No, Grandma said I was a man, now that I'm as old as the hero of legend.

But... aren't they the same sword?
