[not one that she's familiar with, but that didn't really mean anything. she made a habit of ignoring the trolls as much as she could.]

Rose Strider. You have any freaky magic powers we should know about or are you pretty normal for a troll?

Woah. Okay.

[ Wait, what. Strider? Tavros looks completely shocked, but he keeps it in. Nope. He's not sure if he wants to know how did that happen. It's probably the whole different-universe headache striking again. ]

I can, uh, commune with beasts.

[she raises an eyebrow at his expression but doesn't press it. that was probably her answer re:session status right there.]

Any limits on that or are we pretty much set if anything with six heads and a million teeth bursts in during one of our fun little competitions?

Hehe. That would be, kinda cool. [ He grins slightly, but oh- to a more serious topic. He figured he should come clean about his abilities. ]

Uh, well, I've been doing some experimenting around, with the monsters in the tower, and I uncovered, in the most unfortunate and dreadful way, that I can only commune with a maximum of five beasts, at a time.

It's no so bad, is it? I mean- if we do get attacked, by more than five, then yeah, it's bad.

Better than nothing. We'll just have to make sure that you grab the five deadliest in the group and put them to good use.

[she smirks a little] It's not like you're the only one who's going to be doing anything out there, so I think we'll manage.

[ What is this amazing confidence? Tavros is in complete awe. Just look at his face. ]

... If that's what you want me to do, then it's cool, I guess. I'll do what I can, to protect my team. [ Yeah, it's a competition. And he kinda wants them to win, okay? ]

[kid you look like she handed you a bar of solid gold what is your deal here.]

I don't think we're going to have anything more specific for the time being, unless our gracious asshole hosts decide to drop a little more information on us. So long as we keep everybody safe and sort of sane I think it'll work out.

[ It's a troll thing. So kindly continue alluring him with such invigorating confidence. ]

Err, Okay. Are you, uh, taking the role of our ... leader?

[just when she thought trolls couldn't get any weirder...

the question throws her, and for a moment her mouth quirks down in confusion. t's gone in a flash though and she's shrugging her shoulders breezily.]

Me as leader? Fuck, I don't know. I'm just trying to see what hand we got dealt in this clusterfuck and see if we can get something halfway workable out of it. I'm not going to hold anybody's hands or ask them how they're feeling.

[ Not sure if leaders are supposed to be holding their hands and talk about feelings, but the idea didn't seem so bad to him.

He offers her a smile. ]

You're still trying, to look out for everyone around here, which is pretty cool! Do you, uh, have any special abilities?

Somebody's got to, otherwise I've got a bad feeling you assholes'll just go around banging off walls the entire time.

[she rolls her eyes, which Tavros obviously can't see. the smirk that follows his question, though, is very visible.] I'm the Seer of Time, you'd better believe I've got some fucking special abilities. Usual time travel and clone shit, plus I can see the timeline and where shit branches off into doomed territory.

Woah!

[ And then his lips stretched in a wide, toothy grin. ] That's some sick stuff, sis. Not even lying here!

[the reaction prompts a wider smile from Rose. yeah, she's pretty fond of her powers.]

Damn right it is. I had a pack of moron to play with in my game, so I needed every extra I could get my hands on.

[ Rose please. Stop being so proud, this kid is so smitten it's hideous. ]

Hehe, your powers will most-likely come in handy. Also, we might actually win, this competition, don't you think? I mean- I was mostly focusing on survival, but- I kinda want to win this, too.

[sorry but proud and overconfident is kind of her default mode. he'll just have to deal.]

I'm not playing to lose. We keep it together and don't fuck up and we'll kick everyone else's ass. Easy as that.

Alright! Let's, uh, do this! [ He paused; an idea came in mind, and he scowls nervously. ]

Except, um- let's be gentle about the, whole ass kicking thing? I don't know if you noticed, but some of my friends, are in the other teams. [ and ever so quietly. ] I don't want ... to hurt them.

Hey, I know some assholes in other groups too. We're not after them, we're after the fuckwads pulling the strings. [she shrugs a little]

No reason to take it out on people who don't have anything to do with it.
