Well, not obnoxiously. She stood in the doorframe, looking the room over. ]
You are looking for something?
no subject
Oh-- no... There's... something wrong with this room.
no subject
Her attention returned to the room. ]
Its size?
no subject
[Yeah, compared to the size of the common room outside, it was way too big, now that he thought about it. He looked back at the wall that his hand was still resting on.]
And there are corners... [Did that even make sense??]
no subject
A sufficient amount of them would lend to the room a circular appearance. [ From his uncertainty, however, that didn't seem to be the case.
She walked into the room, running her hand along the wall as Jun first did. Her expression gradually grew concerned.
This was not how angles worked!! ]
They toy with us.
no subject
[Yeah this was definitely not how angles.]
But is it even possible to make something like this? Even just to mess with us?
no subject
[ yeeep ]
It may be an illusion. My body tells me there is something amiss.
no subject
An illusion...? [He hadn't thought of that, admittedly. It could've been, but then it would've had to be a damn good one to fool all the senses.]
Amiss? Can you tell if they're actually tricking us? [He turned his attention back to her curiously.]
no subject
Space is skewed here.
no subject
With the corners and sound behaving strangely, the geometry of this room must be completely off. That probably relates to the way the space is behaving... Not to mention how everything must be wrong with the physics...
[Those thoughts he kept turning over in his head, however. Jun glanced at the ground, and-- a thought! He took the flower out of his breast pocket and snapped off a small bit off the end of the stem. He replaced the flower in his pocket and dropped the stem-- and watched it roll towards the center of the room with a look of utter bafflement.]
no subject
Um!! ]
Do stems often roll from where you come?
no subject
Only downhill...
no subject
It is level. [ A pause. ] It feels level.
[ She felt no magick on her, nothing to make her feel enchanted, but the magic, or simply even powers, of the tower were foreign to her. Accepting that, Fran casts Esuna on herself.
Nope, still wonky as hale. At least her headache's faded. For now. ]
no subject
[Jun had watched her carefully, and not removed himself from the wall to try it himself. He walked around a few paces and sure enough, it seemed to be completely flat. Just to be sure, he even knelt down and placed his palm flat against the floor. Sure enough, completely flat!]
But... how...? [WHAT HAS SCIENCE WROUGHT.]
no subject
Well. Fran was no brainiac, but she was PRETTY SURE it didn't work like this.
What had they been told...
Ah. ]
A competition. They mean to test our endurance with a setting that brings unrest.
[ Sounds legit. ]
no subject
[Well that was...interesting? He supposed it was kind of working, since his rather scientific mind was boggling.
Nevertheless, he stood up from the ground and brushed his hands off a bit.]
I guess that makes sense... Though, then again it still doesn't make sense.
[Siiigh.]
no subject
They are meant to be subtle, I think. A quiet nagging in your mind that something is wrong.
[ The duller senses of a hume worked in their favor. ]
no subject
Though really the thought just made him more sick than the actual space did. He was trying to resist going back to the wall and trying to figure out the corners thing.]
I...guess the point is to just ignore it...?
no subject
Yes.
[ For how long...? 8|a ]
no subject
So he shook his head to rip his attention away and looked at her sheepishly.]
--Um.. [Right ignoring!!] My name's Jun Kurosu, by the way...
no subject
[ She shifted again, placing more weight on one foot, and placed a hand at her hip. ] Have you any comrades in this place?
no subject
Um, two of my friends are in the tower... I saw them earlier, but I lost them...
[Yeah he kind of. Got nervous from the crowd, whoops.]
