Not all of us are soldiers, Link. I like how it looks this way, and with my magic, it's rarely a liability in battle.

I am a mage, yes. I can heal as well, but I rarely have to use that.

[The front done, Kuja starts working on the sides. Years of practice have taught him about its texture well: where to cut to make it curl just so.]

I wouldn't know if our magic is similar or not.

You can heal?

[ Link is shocked, but pleasantly. Surely one who can heal others wouldn't be a bad person...

Though they're also very... fascinated might be the right word. No one cared that much for their appearance in the Forest, after all. ]

Then you can help others! I have been learning a little healing magic from Aqua, but... I cannot do that on my own. All my abilities are offense-oriented, or defensive. I truly would like to learn how...

So people have been telling me. I can't remember offhand if any of the equipment that came with me can teach healing magic, but I'm sure we could figure something out.

What do you know from Aqua already?

[At least Link has some capabilities in magic. Kuja would hate to teach an unskilled mage.]

... Mostly, she taught me how to use Curative magic, though mine is not very effective yet... I am perfectly capable of wielding all sorts of magic, it is simply that I need to learn the spell itself before I can use it, though.

[ Link couldn't use any of the Fairy-given magic without them actually gifting that skill to them, after all. Nayru's Love, Din's Fire, and Farore's Wind were all very unique spells. ]

As long as I am given direction, I do not have problem with mastering things. I have found magic functions quite differently between worlds, however...

[Kuja nods. That method was right in line with the resources Kuja had, so hopefully he could grant Link some equipment to help them along their way.]

Indeed it does, but Aqua's method sounds very similar to mine. Perhaps when this is over, I could look at my resources and see if I can supplement your abilities.

[Smilesmile of course not! He has a couple of enemies here and there, but they were all misunderstandings, really. Kuja is a nice and polite as can be.]

I would be more than happy to help. Those with power should use it to help others, especially in such a dire situation as this, wouldn't you agree?
