[As he's pushed into the crowd, his eyes widen at the sight of those who have been changed physically thanks to Jason. He knew Jason was a bad man, and didn't care for anyone but himself but this... this was horrible. Seeing how the others were treated made him feel incredibly guilty. He was treated to board games and good food, after all.

It was hard to ignore the other people in the crowd, but he slowly turns his attention to what Ruana says. Dax's group has two points... that's good, right? Though, they lost one of the tests and that means they needed to have a punishment. Someone had to die.

Someone always had to die, didn't they? He sighs and makes his way across the crowd to the side, crossing his arms and thinking about the punishment. He didn't want to see anyone leave, so maybe he would offer himself up.]

[kickspenguins]

[Suddenly there's a hand on his shoulder and whoever it is turns him around.]

Kidou!

[pengeen]

Sakuma!

[He immediately starts to check him for any wounds or attachments or anything.] Are you alright? They didn't do anything to you, did they?

[He lifts up Sakuma's arms and inspects his sides.]

[kickspenguins]

[Sakuma removes his arms from Kidou's grip.]

No, I'm fine. More importantly, are you okay?

[Having seen what some of the others had gone through definitely put him on edge. What sort of place was he trapped in that would allow that to happen to people?]

[pengeen]

I'm alright. My group seems to have it easy, nothing bad has happened yet.

[He frowns]

I hope Haruna and Genda are okay.

[kickspenguins]

[Hoping to comfort him, Sakuma puts a hand on Kidou's shoulder.]

Don't worry, Genda will take care of her. You can believe in him.

[Despite saying that though, he's worried too. Not knowing is terrible and the entire week it's been eating away at him, constantly worrying about whether his friends will be okay or not.]

[pengeen]

I have no doubt that he will.

[He tries to smile but it looks strained.]

I feel like a terrible older brother, though. Not even a week after Haruna's arrival and I'm split away from her again.

[His smile drops]

She must be so scared and confused.

[kickspenguins]

You can't help it! It's this tower...

[His voice trails off. He doesn't like being here; it made him too uneasy. And how can he convince Kidou things will be okay when he doesn't know himself?]

You need to believe in her too. Otonashi is stronger than you give her credit for. For now, we need to get through this somehow.

[pengeen]

[That does actually calm his nerves a bit. Haruna lasted 8 years away from Kidou, she can last another month. And this time she was left with Genda. Genda who was strong physically and emotionally.] You're right.

[His gaze shifts to the people around them for a moment.]

...I don't like how the punishment is set up, though. Having everyone vote off one person to be killed....

[kickspenguins]

I don't like it either. And those people...

[The ones that were experimented on. He can't bring himself to actually mention them though.

But then he sets his expression to determination.]

I'm not going to vote.

[pengeen]

Neither am I.

[He wouldn't know who to vote for] And... if you can...

Please make sure you don't get voted out yourself. I want to meet you in this same place again alive and well, okay?

[kickspenguins]

Only if you do the same.

[He's glad that Kidou's been treated okay so far and he hopes things continue to be that way.]

[pengeen]

I promise I will.

[chainsawn]

[ Urotsuki isn't fazed that much by the changed people - she's seen plenty of that kind of things in her nightmares before, even if part of her does feel sorry for them. No, it's rather the announcement that someone has to die that makes her incredibly more unnerved and worried that it'll have to be her - and dying here isn't like dying in her dreams and just waking up, it's incredibly more scary.

Her fear is what makes her try to spot someone familiar in the crowd, and once she spots him to the side she quickly patters over, something worried in her expression. ]

.. Kidou-kun..!

[pengeen]

[He looks up at his name being said and upon seeing her worried expression, he offers her a small smile.] Hello, Urotsuki.

Are you alright?

[chainsawn]

[ The smile is almost a little reassuring, really - the fact that someone can smile even when she can't.. but she nods, since she is alright, isn't she? She isn't hurt, so.. ]

I'm okay. I'm just.. [ .. she seems to be looking for words. ] .. I don't know why this is happening..

[pengeen]

[His smile turns a bit sadder] I don't know why it's happening, either.

[He gently places a hand on her shoulder]

But I'll do what I can to make sure you stay safe, okay?

[chainsawn]

[ So even he doesn't know.. she sags a little at that, but once she feels the hand she blinks at him curiously instead. ]

.. You'll help me..? But.. who will make sure you stay safe then, Kidou-kun?

[pengeen]

I'll make sure I stay safe myself.

[chainsawn]

You can do that..? [ blink. ] But what if people vote for you? I don't want you to get hurt or.. die..

[pengeen]

I don't think very many people will be voting, to be honest.

[chainsawn]

Huh? .. [ She's thinking about it, and.. well, it's true, she doesn't want to vote either, but.. ]

But if nobody votes, then who will they kill..?

[pengeen]

...I'm guessing if no one votes, the administrators will decide themselves.

[chainsawn]

That's.. scary too.. [ Because if nobody votes, then it's anyone who could be chosen, right? She herself, or any of the new friends she's made.. ]

But voting is also scary, since it means sending someone to die.

[pengeen]

I don't like it, either.

[He's quiet for a moment before offering her a smile to hopefully calm her nerves]

Maybe voting someone off could be a good thing in the end. Such as if someone were truly suffering here, voting them off would be saving them from more suffering, right?
