1st fetch quest
Characters: Link. Maybe more than one. Anyone else.
Setting: In the mess hall, eating oatmeal. If only it were flavored with faeries...
Format: I'll match you.
Summary: Link eats oatmeal. Oh so exciting.
Warnings: None for now.
...
[The letter was disturbing. Serious, after saving Hyrule from Ganon's evil reign, reversing all of his evil... now this happens? Couldn't it have happened before the whole ordeal with Agahnim, in order to save him some time?]
Grumble-nom-grumble...
[At least he somehow managed to bring over most of his tools. No bombs, and nothing he had to use for the purposes of the Dark World, but... who needed a Moon Pearl here, anyway?]
...
[This oatmeal was gross.]

[This oatmeal was gross.]

Well this was going to happen eventually :V
Hello, Link.
[ Not a thing he respects, that's what it is. ]
I have to wonder why it is the administrators adore you so VERY much over the girl, and I am inclined to think perhaps it's because they pity you.
i was so nervous when nobody responded. thanks for averting a heart attack~
mostly because he doesn't have the sprite for that, Link just blinks a couple of times before answering]Hi. Not sure if I know you...
[takes another bite of oatmeal, and swallows. You know, for dramatic affect. He then looks at Ghirahim again]
I wasn't aware that this situation was a product of favoritism.
[he's confused at the terms Ghirahim was throwing out and about, but he figured there'd be an option to ask for clarification later on]
to be fair I would've replied with my own link but she's in the event, sooo
[ He does eventually stop staring into your soul from like a half an inch away before moving back.
He mockingly places a hand on his chest, in dismay. ]
I'm a little wounded you've forgotten me so quickly! Why is it that you lowly humans can never remember what's important?
ooooooh and here i was stressing out that i made an irreversible faux pas
[have an eyebrow lift, Ghirie]
Why does it count as forgetting if I don't have the memory of meeting you in the first place?
[headscratch. you know, now that he has the personal space to do so]
You know my name, but I don't know yours.
Nah, people are just distracted by the Infighting event going on, most likely. : |b
[ His smile is amused, if a bit exasperated. ]
Demon Lord Ghirahim, and I would stress you to remember that name this time, Hylia's Chosen. After all, it would never do for us to forget each other, don't you think?
Now the question is... from where in the future do you come? And how competent are you? ... Though I am sure I already know the answer to THAT question, given your being human.

[... THE OATMEAL WAS GROSS SO WHY DID HE FINISH IT ALL THERE IS NO WAY TO DELAY THIS CONVERSATION]
Hylia's Chosen? I mean, I do swim in Lake Hylia, but...
[headtilt, headache, same thing]
Goddesses?
[Come to think of it, it would've made sense. There's the Sanctuary, after all, and the Triforce had to come from somewhere. Why weren't deities mentioned more often
dammit early Nintendo censorship damn you to Hell]Of course I'm competent! I saved Hyrule and the princess and the Triforce! I just can't answer all of your questions because you're so confusing.
[he worked hard, dammit, and traversed like ten dungeons to prove it!]
But you're from the past?
The only thing about the past people have written about was the Imprisoning War, where the Seven Sages sealed away Ganondorf into the Sacred Realm...
no subject
... Do you truly not know the origins of your world, boy? That's quite saddening. And here I expected their Chosen Hero to be well-versed in his OWN lore...
[ He sighs dramatically, here. ]
No, of course they wouldn't tell you the truth... that would involve ousting themselves and admitting their all-mighty Goddesses are completely incompetent, terrible, and biased.
Though I AM interested in what occurred between you and Ganondorf. Do tell.

She'll just fly over and hover over the seat across from him, watching him eat the oatmeal.]

[this was new]
Did you step into the Dark World, too? It... has that effect on people.
[headscratch. this tower had weird people in it]
...!
[though, the designs on her look... familiar. Huh. Where did he see those designs before?]
no subject
[Or anywhere, really, since she floated everywhere. The only exceptions being floors in the tower where she couldn't fly.]
It is a pleasure to meet another of the Goddesses Chosen Heroes.
[But mostly because there was no Dark World in her time.]
no subject
Okay, so I already know I'm a "Chosen Hero" (whatever that is), and you're the second person to mention anything about the goddesses.
[sigh]
But... huh. The other guy also mentioned something. There's more than one of me?
no subject
Who was the first to mention the Golden Ones and Her Grace?
[She just tilts her head at his sigh.]
Several more, nearly all born of the Chosen Heroes bloodline and possessing his unwavering will.
no subject
[it was always Link who had to take care of stuff, wasn't it? At least this person made the least amount of sense.]
The person who mentioned the goddesses earlier was... kind of like you. Metallic skin and really hard-looking hair. He said his name was Ghirahim.
Given you guys seem to know me, is this a part of Hyrule or something?
(no subject)
(no subject)
Does he have the Master Sword with him?
It's been tempered and thrown into a lake to make Golden, but yes. Yes he does.
Awesome!

Again?! That was the sixth Link in this tower. The second in less than a week. Couldn't the people in this tower pick a Ganondorf from another timeline and throw him in for once? ]
...
[ Oh well. He approached the boy anyway in order to find out how much of a threat he was when compared to the other Links. Ganondorf was getting used to it by now: find a Link, test him and then plan how to take care of him for the great plan.
In spite of the absolute difference in appearances, this man's voice may sound slightly similar to that of a blue pig he met not so long ago. ]
Yet another Hero chosen by the Gods, aren't you Link?
[ He smiles. An evil smile. ]
... Fate works in odd ways.
no subject
a faerie or a talking sword would have been helpful right about now]I don't know about the gods. I was just following the voice that woke me up in the middle of the night.
[Come to think of it, that was how it all started, wasn't it? A dark and stormy night, a damsel in distress, and his uncle murdered...]
...
[Link's at a loss for words, though. Not because he didn't know what Ganondorf was talking about - well, he didn't, but... - but because that voice... that voice just stirred some sort of mechanism in his brain. Like a Pavlov's Dog salivating at the sound of a bell, his body tensed up when he heard that voice. Only one other time did that happen, and that was in the Pyramid of Power. But... it couldn't have been, could it?]
... It's you, isn't it?
[Link has become very aware of the weight of the Golden Master Sword attached to his hip. He left his silver arrows in the trunk, but even then he knew that at this range, unsheathing would be nothing but reckless. There's just something telling him that it wouldn't be a good idea. But why did this thing approach him?]
no subject
If by you, you mean Ganondorf Dragmire, Great Demon King of Evil...
[ he stopped by the window and didn't turn back to look at the young Hero. ]
You have it right boy.
no subject
[D'oh!]
I had no idea you had a family name.
I don't have a family name.
[... that sort of ticked him off, actually]
...!
[Okay, Link, that is not what you're supposed to focus on!]
So. Uh. Yeah. Fate. Works in odd ways.
[Yes, Ganon was frightening. This incarnation of him, however, seemed... more dangerous, somehow. It was difficult to put into words, but Link had a feeling that this Ganondorf was far more cunning than the Ganon he had faced]
...
[He just stared at his back, the window's light illuminating his silhouette]
But, yeah! I was chosen by the gods, wasn't I?
[Yes, Link. Bluff. That always works]
And you're certainly outnumbered! If you're going to be stuck with us, you may as well play nice!
no subject
[ It's fine Link, that's only justice. You're the Hero, you get the four letters name, he's the bad guys he gets the Awesome McCool name. Because the Goddesses are so nice to the Heroes. ]
Yes, you most likely were. The Goddesses have always have strange tastes for the Heroes they pick, and they reserve them most horrible fate in the end...
[ He chuckles and turns back to face Link. trying to imply the Goddesses are cruel and heartless women? Never. ]
As for outnumbered, boy I wouldn't be so quick to judge if I were you.
[ His bff are Xehanort and Kuja, he's set up an Evil Brotherhood reuniting the worst bastards in the tower and he has with him two Dark Master Swords incarnate. Nothing too bad, boy. ]
But you need not to worry, I have agreed to a truce with those from our homeworlds.
no subject
[Link puffs out his chest. He just threw together a bunch of terms he found in the Book of Mudora randomly. He hoped it meant something]
A truce for your benefit, no doubt! I mean, you'd only agree to something like that if it served your own purposes!
[No, Link, you don't know him and he knows it. But Link was truly on the edge of his seat - he was frightened. Ganon was a nightmare enough. Ganondorf, on the other hand, is the poor excuse for a man that managed to... well. The legends had nothing to say about it. There was no proof that one of the Heroes was present during the Imprisoning War. But... if there were- no. Link wouldn't allow himself to think about it. The thing taunting him in front of him was nothing more than a blue pig, no matter what he looked like on the outside. And if he beat him once, he could beat him again. You know, after doing a few more fetch quests]
You didn't just come here to say "hello" to me. So either move along, or say what you want to say. Either way, I really don't have much nice to say to you.

...Stops. Backtracks to the doorway and just...stares. Because...okay, it's one thing to be told by several people that you come from a long line of heroes and you're all named Link and some of them are here and you might actually meet them and sharing the same Spirit and blah blah blah, okay fine.
It's another thing to actually see it with your own eyes and, wow, it's obvious that this one isn't blood related but still, this is enough familiarity to give him pause and he doesn't...quite...know how to handle this right now.
So yeah, just boring a metaphorical hole in the guy's head with all that staring, pretty much!]
no subject
...
[Link wasn't entirely certain what that feeling was, to be honest, but something seemed off. He met a lot of people in the tower so far, and at least three of them told Link that he wasn't exactly unique. Understandably, that was a bit difficult to grasp]
...!
[Until now, apparently.]
Huh?
[Turning around, Link kinda wished he had a mouthful of oatmeal to focus on instead of the person at the doorway.]
... hmm.
[Getting up, Link walked over to the other Link, staring at him almost as if he were a reflection. Nope. His movements were not mirrored. Oh dear.]
HWA HYAAAAAHR WAAATARGH KYAAAAHi there.
no subject
...Hi. [Couldn't hurt to make friends, though.] Did you just get here?
no subject
Do I make it that obvious?
[nervous, forced laughter]
I've. Uh. Heard about you. Us. Them. Me. Um.
[sigh - he gives up]
You probably already figured it out - the name's Link.
[... yeah. Nobody would buy Linkoln Trivirtua McLinkmeister. Why did he come up with that name before?]
How about you? It seems like you're better adjusted than I am.
[mostly because he's been freaking out. and spilling out secrets that silver arrows can kill Ganon.]
no subject
Ah, not really, I've just been checking the place out. [Exploring what he can.
Distractions...]

I talked to a sword shortly after I arrived here. A sword.
[he takes out the Tempered Golden Master Sword]
The spirit of this. From the past. I mean. That's just crazy.
I mean, I always thought there was more to the Bane of Evil than just being a chunk of sharpened metal, but a spirit that talks about reincarnations and such?
[he had an easier time dealing with the Fat Faerie, for crying out loud]
Anyway.
What've you found out, so far?
