Hacking #02: Tech time

Setting: Floor 3, Floor 27 and Floor 15
Format: Brackets to start with, but I can match you!
Summary: April has some projects she needs to work on, so now it's time to research and maybe try to build stuff.
Warnings: None, besides April being a dork.

[Floor Three: Library]
[Now that the power is back, April has decided to look through the library more closely. She's seated at the table and there are piles of books around her, and she seems to be scribbling some sort of plans on the pieces of paper in front of her. Though that quickly comes to a halt when the tallest tower of books next to her starts to wobble and nearly topples over, though she's quick to save it.]

Ah geez, that was close... [She'll at least make sure to apologize to anyone who nearly got buried underneath the books.]

[Floor Twenty-Seven: Laboratory]
[Anyone who heads into the laboratory today will find one young woman rummaging through it, a sheaf of paper tucked under her arm which she occasionally pulls out to look at. She won't really notice anyone stepping in, as she's focused on looking for whatever it is she needs and looking over the papers she's holding while mumbling to herself.]

Let's see, there's got to be something like that around here... Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place...

[Floor Fifteen: Workshop]
[Once April finds to workshop, she finally decides to get to work on whatever she's trying to make, and it seems to be an electronic device of some sort. Though judging by her grumbles, she doesn't seem to be having much luck, though it's not like that would stop her. The only times she pauses in making her little device is to scribble something down on one of the many pieces of paper on one of the tables.]

… Maybe I should try something more simple... I doubt I have the parts for this anyhow.

Ehe, y-yeah, I guess. [She smiles sheepishly, but despite that, she clearly seems proud of her tech skills.] If I have the right parts, I can build something like that.

[tsunball]

I've never met a chick who could do that before! .. Well, not like I've met a dude who could do that before either, but it's super cool!

[technologic]

Ah, t-thanks... I've been doing stuff like that since I was a kid, so I've gotten pretty good at building things.

[tsunball]

Guess it really does work that way, huh.. Just like I've been playing baseball ever since I was a little kid, it just starts coming naturally after a while! [ except leon's just a natural genius, but.. ]

[technologic]

... Baseball? [Looks like she's never heard of it sob.]

[tsunball]

[ oh no, he's just going to look surprised.. ]

.. Yeah, baseball.. what, is there something wrong with that?! [ oh no, now he's shifting to tsun.. ] I mean.. not like I like playing baseball, it's just.. something I do!

[technologic]

[Blink, blink.] N-no, there's nothing wrong with that at all! ... I just... don't know what it is...

[tsunball]

Huh? [ give him a moment, his mind can't handle this. ]

.. You.. don't know baseball?

[technologic]

N-no, I don't... My world, um, doesn't have a lot of things.

[tsunball]

Man, what kind of world is that supposed to be? Are you saying you guys don't have any sports at all?

[technologic]

P-pretty much, unless swimming counts. My home was basically a wasteland, so there was barely anything there.

[tsunball]

That's so weird, a world like a wasteland.. [ for a moment he does seem pretty surprised, but he tries to shake it off. ] Then you're probably glad to be here, right?

[technologic]

[April shakes her head, and frowns faintly to herself.] While I'm glad to see things here that I would have never seen back home, I'm not too happy about being stuck here. I like my freedom and my friends back home too much.

[tsunball]

Yeah, being cooped up somewhere like this is a drag. [ he'll admit that much. ] But still, being free in a place like that sounds like a bore too, doesn't it? What would you even do all day, just sit around?

[technologic]

I work. My home does suck, so I'm working with a group to rebuild it to how it was before everything went to hell, and I was pretty much always busy with something.

[tsunball]

.. No way, you really think you can rebuild everything?

[technologic]

... Yeah, I think so. The group is always gaining new members and we've managed to bring power back to one of the old cities... It'll take a very long time to rebuild everything, but I believe it's possible.

[tsunball]

Man, that sounds like some kind of action movie! Still lacks most of the action, but it still sounds like something that'd never happen in my world.
