Case 1 - A Strange Land [Open]

Summary: Raidou searches for the boss battle he has to kill in order to escape this nightmare.
Warnings: None yet!

[Waking up in strange places was not necessarily a habit, even if it was not something he had been unaccustomed to. However, Gouto's absence made this far more sinister than he had expected. Upon reading the note, his first resort had been to retrieve his blade. His second was to slip silently from the dormitory room to explore the halls.

...some savior the writer of that note had been. From the looks of this place it was no safer than the world he had left.

A pang of guilt stirred in his chest at the thought. If it was true- No. No, that was not possible. They were going to stop the insects. Nobody was going to destroy the world he had sworn to protect. But what the nagging thought wouldn't leave. Raidou did not so much run as bolt down the hallways, his boots clattering on the floor. If this was another trick of the enemy then there should be an enemy to defeat in order to return home.

He'd just have to take down anything that tried to stop him in order to find it. This had to be an illusion.

He really hoped so, anyway.]

[April blinks when she spots Raidou coming down the hallway, having to make sure to quickly step out of the way so that they didn't collide.]

H-hey, you alright?

[Stopping beside her, he gave her a firm nod, eyeing her with masked suspicion. She didn't seem to be a demon... But then, was she also 'rescued' by these people?]

Are you from here?

[technologic]

[He gets a wary look back, though that's pretty much April's default to when she meets new people.]

No. I got brought here a few months ago and have been stuck here since.

[kudas_to_you]

[Months? But she's an American, right? How can that be if the world was only just destroyed? This discussion, short as it was, was already bringing up so many questions. He stared back at her almost expressionlessly.]

Did you see a cat around here?

[technologic]

[Don't actually call her an American or she might get pissy.

But she shakes her head at his question, frowning faintly.]

Not recently... But what does the cat look like?

Entirely black. He's very slender and has green eyes.

[Of course the most pressing issue is the cat. He has to hope that Gouto has hidden somewhere safe.]

His name is Gouto-Douji.

[Katsuya had been doing - not much in particular - when Raidou approached at high speed. That much of a rush was definitely concerning.]

Are you all right?

[His stop was fairly less graceful than before, even if it was still more casual than one would expect from a man rushing at this speed. Raidou eyed the man suspiciously.

...not a demon either. What was this? He nodded, staying quite for a moment before commenting.]

You're the second person to ask me that.

Well, you would draw a lot of attention like that. Did something happen, or are you new here?

I just arrived. You seem calm.

I have training remaining calm in dangerous situations. Has anyone told you about where you are yet?

No. There was only the note.

[doctor_dismemberment]

[Richtofen's not kind about it at all when some man he's never seen before speeds past him. Had Richtofen not stumbled out of the way, they most certainly would have collided. He turns his head and barks:] Watch where you're going, Schwein!

[Raidou doesn't even flinch at the insult. He simply pauses, looking at the stranger expressionlessly.]

...excuse me.

[doctor_dismemberment]

[Richtofen scoffs and mutters under his breath:] There is no excuse for you. [He's not in a very good mood today, that much is clear.

He gives this newcomer a once-over, wrinkling his nose suspiciously.] Are you new here? I don't recognize your face. [But he adds as an afterthought:] You look like Takeo...

[He seems unfazed. The name is unfamiliar, and the look and words from the man make it obvious he is not in friendly company.]

I just arrived a short while ago today. ...who is Takeo?

[doctor_dismemberment]

Takeo is a... friend of mine from my world. [From the way he says "friend," it doesn't seem like he likes him that much.]

But that doesn't matter. [He crosses his arms over his chest, taking a few steps closer to Raidou.] Everyone's told you what to expect here, ja? Your world is gone, the experiments are terrible, and watch out for the monsters. [Somebody's a little tired of the welcome speech.]

Oh, and the oatmeal is very bland. Enjoy that.

Thank you, but I prefer to think of my world as awaiting me outside of here.

[Hm. This guy is so grouchy. Reminds him of someone.]

...I will, thank you. Bland is not always bad.

[foreseeing_one]

*Speaking of boss fights, this man right here walking down the hall gave off a definite demonic, though benevolent, vibe. He even steps out of Raidou's way without prompting.*

[Well now. That was at least a familiar sign. Enough to catch his attention and halt his progression. Although this man doesn't look like any demon he's ever met. Could he be a unique boss that would later become a common enemy? ...no, he didn't seem hostile enough. He could practically see Gouto hiding his face behind a paw in frustration. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.]

I've never seen a demon like you before.

[foreseeing_one]

*Though Futomimi still identifies as a Manikin and not a demon, there is no denying the fact that right now he is a Kishin race demon.*

That is normal, for I am quite unique. My name is Futomimi, and normally my existence in human worlds is denied.

Are you an enemy?

[It's a little more direct than he usually would have been, but directness serves him well at times.]

I am not. I only wish to live in peace. This tower is the enemy you are seeking.

[Naoto knows a new resident of the tower when she sees one and Raidou might as well have had a neon sign over his head.]

[If he had any experience with neon signs, he might have agreed. As it was, he did not. At the question, he halted, glancing over at the strange-
