The Laziest Diety
Characters: chaos and you!
Setting: All around the Tower, as chaos wanders around and learns about this place.
Format: Prose or action. I can go with either.
Summary: chaos wakes up and tries to learn about this new place.
Warnings: None that I can think of for the moment.
Dorm Room 3-06 and the surrounding floor:
chaos woke up with a yawn and rubbed his eyes. He liked to sleep, but he didn't think he'd pass out immediately after saving-chaos's train of thought was interrupted as he sat up and took in his surroundings. This was not the bottom of the Elsa. And he had an odd collar on his neck. However, he didn't panic. There had to be an explanation for this, even if it was weird that he passed out without realizing it and had a collar on his neck. He got up and noticed two letters on his nightstand. He read them both, and while one detailed the layout and some of the things in this place, the other letter had to be lying. If the Lower Domain was destroyed, than he'd be destroyed along with it. Since he was alive, this note was a lie.
Noticing a chest at the bottom of his bed, chaos opened it. Inside was a bodysuit, some gloves, a Bunnie plush, a notebook, a box of curry mix, and..Alice In Wonderland. Despite the situation, chaos smiled. It had been quite a long time since he'd seen a book. Since his dorm room was empty, chaos wandered out, wondering if he'd see the Elsa crew soon, or someone familiar. He'd also need to eat something-which he technically didn't have to eat, it was an enjoyable experience-and find out more about this place.
Cafeteria:
When chaos wandered into the cafeteria and sat down, a person wearing a red collar put a bowl of oatmeal in front of him before wandering off. chaos could tell that the person wasn't human and guessed that it was a robot or a Realian of sorts. People that were like him usually stayed and talked. While the oatmeal wasn't that tasty, chaos had eaten worse in his long lifetime. Besides, human or not, it would be a little rude to not to eat it when it was offered.
Library (Third Floor):
While chaos was a little sad to see that the history sections had been pulled, he was happy to see that there were so many books. It was a welcome sight after so long. However, as chaos looked through the shelves, he wondered who had pulled them. Who was controlling this tower? That's what chaos thought this place was, from the looks of things.

He ran a hand through his hair, ignoring his hood as it fell down, and sighed.
"That's...a bit of a long story. Am I right to guess that Kevin's a Testament where you come from?"
no subject
chaos honestly meant that, despite the situation. It was lonely, being the only person from your world, seeing familiar faces that had a different backstory attached. Or at least, so chaos thought. However, the mention of Kevin surprised chaos, even though he did his best not to show it.
"To be honest, I would have no idea. I was told he was dead..but I suppose the reports were wrong. Am I correct in assuming that you switched roles with him in your universe?"
no subject
His hands clenched slightly as he mentioned what Kevin had been planning. Thinking about it always made him angry, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Kevin wasn't even here anyway.
"Three years ago, there was an incident where the KOS-MOS archetype went out of control during a raid by U-TIC. It tried to attack Ms. Uzuki, and I was the closest person to her who wasn't too scared for their own life to do anything..."

And he thought the Allen in his universe had it bad..while there was nothing chaos could do to reverse the Testament process and while chaos had no intention of pitting Allen against Wilhelm, chaos did regret what had happened to this Allen.

He laughed quietly and resentfully. While he didn't necessarily wish he'd chosen differently, knowing that if he had, Kevin would have gotten the role he wanted and likely been much more heartless about it, he still realized that he'd been presented a very simplified explanation of his choices.
"Of course, back then, I didn't know that part of the job description would be to break her heart."
no subject
"I don't think many people fully realize what goes into the job description until they find themselves in the job."
He was trying to say that it wasn't Allen's fault for not realizing this, but he wasn't sure if he was doing a good job. It was odd..chaos couldn't ever remember comforting a Testament before. However, that did not mean that chaos wasn't going to try.
Testament or not, this was still Allen, and even though chaos wasn't sure what sort of relationship they had in his universe, he wasn't going to leave him without some comfort.
no subject
It didn't make what he had to do any less painful, but it was at least somewhat comforting to think that because he was the one doing them, they were probably more gentle than they otherwise would have been. Not that there had been a particularly gentle way to have T-Elos come close enough to destroying KOS-MOS that Shion's will would resonate with Rennes-le-Chateau and allow for the creation of the encephalon-like anomaly, but at least he hadn't been smug about it.
no subject
While chaos didn't know much about Kevin, Allen probably was a much better choice, as Allen wasn't cruel or malicious and didn't like causing pain. While he would have had to cause pain when he became a Testament, he probably didn't go overboard or get any satisfaction from doing it.
no subject
Allen didn't insult people often, and it was even rarer that he used such harsh language to do so, but Kevin infuriated him on multiple levels. Not to mention the fact that it was technically that man's fault that he was dead.
no subject
"I see. Then you were a better choice to become a Testament, despite everything that you'll have to do and suffer though."
Forgetting Wilhelm's orders for a moment, the sheer anger and pain of knowing that Shion was still in love with a man like that, still engaged to man like that..that had to be almost unbearable for Allen.

"I can see why..hopefully you'll be able to go back to your own universe soon and deal with Kevin then. I imagine you'll eventually have to, if he's tied to Shion."
After all, people tired to Shion, no matter how terrible they were, eventually got wrapped up in the main plot and Wilhelm's plan.

"..Remember that while the truth may not always be pleasant to know, she'll still have to know it if she wants to keep moving forward. If she wants to help the people she loves. It'll hurt her..but it will also help."

"I..felt the same way when I thought about how I was going to tell her about her powers. However, think of this: while she might be in pain for awhile, eventually, she won't hurt anymore. Eventually, she stand up, wipe her eyes, and keep moving forward. She won't be in pain all the time because she had to face the truth. Eventually..she may be better off for it."
At least..that was what chaos would have liked to think. He hadn't told Shion about her powers yet in his timeline, so he wasn't exactly sure how she would react. However..if those words would help Allen, then they would be spoken.
no subject
Another thing that would be his fault.

"..If you told her earlier, she may be able to get over it more quickly. And..if KOS-MOS is destroyed, it may be possible that they could just rebuild her."

"I suppose..there is nothing more you can do then, except help however you can. If you can help at all. However..hopefully, you'll get it right in the next Recurrence. I'm not a fan of the process, but I do understand that it does help, in a way. So..perhaps humanity will be a little stronger the next time around."

While chaos couldn't tell how man Recurrences had flown by, he wanted to make that number as small as possible.
