Summary: Just the new guy probably wishing he wasn't so ~mysterious~

Room 3-14
[Finding and getting his bandages put back over his eyes was Shiki's first priority. With his power, his brain continually degraded when he saw the things he shouldn't. Death. He was used to it, a lifelong companion who would never abandon him, but the human brain just couldn't deal with it. To prevent himself from degrading any further, he always wore them, making him blind to the world around him and relying on his instincts and other senses.

Thanks to the note, he quickly found them but he made sure to take a look around before those bandages were wrapped tight around his eyes. It was all too eery but he was used to it. That was his every day life. The only thing left to do was check his surroundings. Both inside this room and outside.]



Dormitory hallways
[Once he made it outside the room, he did the best thing that came to mind. Put a hand against the wall and walk, keeping the contours in mind for later use. Sure, it was freezing cold, but when you spend some time in Germany in the winter (living outdoors), you gain a certain level of tolerance for such things. Before he ever actually runs into anyone though, Shiki is quick to walk around or step out of the way. He can't see but he can still hear and, more importantly, feel where people are.

Though, if he does come near someone, he gives a small smile.]

Floor 11
[Open air was what he was seeking. There was danger near the edge so Shiki stayed quite a bit back from it. But he did take a deep breath, partially wondering if the air was poisonous but not spending too much time thinking on it.]

Where did things go wrong?

[Or more specifically, how did he end up here? This wasn't the best place to be when he had to be by Arcueid's side, even if she was still in her eternal sleep.]

I wouldn't know, to be honest. It's a way of looking at things..but I do consider it to be the truth. Humans aren't all bad.

The kind of things people are better off not knowing because it could shake the foundations of their beliefs.

I've met with a person here who has manipulated his universe-which could also be mine-since the dawn of time to repeat over and over again. I think I can take whatever you can dish out.

I'll pass but for my own reasons. It doesn't have anything to do with you.

Ah, alright then. That's fine. I'm not going to force you to tell me if you don't want to.

Plus, if I didn't have any mystery about me, you wouldn't come back to ask more questions.

That's not true! I'd come back if there was something I didn't understand..and even if I understood everything, I wouldn't just leave a friend.

For me, you have. Is there something wrong with that?

No. I just haven't had a friend in a long time. That's all.

Ah, I see..I'm sorry to hear that. Why haven't you had a friend for awhile?

Because I didn't want to drag people into the things I've been doing. I have allies but no friends.

Ah, I see. What sort of things have you been doing? Fighting these monsters? And isn't that..kind of lonely?

Killing vampires. Or, more specifically, the top 27 most powerful ones.

That's a pretty interesting goal..but why were you going to kill them?

Because.....they plot to kill someone important to me.

I see..no wonder you want to kill them then. Why are they plotting to kill someone close to you? Who are they planning on killing? Your friend? A family member? A lover?

[concept_killer]

That's a tough question. She....she used to be my lover. Now she just sleeps, unaware of the world around her. But they wish to kill her because she is an obstacle in their path. The politics behind it are confusing.

I see..I'm sorry to hear that then. Why can't she wake up? And even if they're a little confusing, you can try to explain them to me. I'll do my best to understand.

She can't wake up until she is needed. Mostly to kill any vampire that is extremely threatening to humanity.

But...she is a Princess. Princess off all the vampires, even though she isn't exactly one. Her sister is also one. Only one of them can be the heir but her sister has allied herself with the other vampires. Her sister hopes to kill her so she can take the position of authority.

I can't let that happen. I can't let her die.

Right. Good luck with killing off those who oppose her. Hopefully you'll be able to save your beloved..and hopefully she won't be too sad when she hears that you have succeeded in your task. And..what put her in that state to being with? Did someone curse her?
